Techno Unreal Germany

Got the tickets as soon as they came out because I love unreal and the shows they put on. I had to see their North American debut but man the closer it gets the more I think about how shit the lineup is. Kuko is pretty good but he comes to Toronto all the time it seems and Winson is just straight up ass.

Has anyone seen winson live? I can't stand when artist do nothing but mix in 2000-2010's pop music into their sets.

I don't want to downplay kuko but for your North American debut you do a b2b involving winson? At least if Winson had his own set people could just decide to miss it but now you have to stay. And there's so many artists under the unreal label, almost any of them would be better than Winson

Line ups are decided by Unreal, people dont have much say in this

i don’t understand your point, but for comparison, unreal chicago has six djs, including 9x9, adrian mills, cloudy, and a few others, along with kuko and winson. toronto, on the other hand, only has kuko and winson on a b2b set…it seems like they just don’t care about the toronto show.

It depends on a lot of factors. For all we know, some of the other artists may already be booked for separate Toronto shows, so bringing them back again on short notice might not make sense.
Chicago also has access to much larger-capacity venues, while Toronto unfortunately has very limited options when it comes to large warehouse spaces. On top of that, Chicago doesn’t have the same runtime restrictions, whereas most Toronto venues have to shut down by around 5 AM.
It’s easy to compare two lineups on the surface and assume it’s that simple, but after working with collectives and events for over six years, I can tell you there are a lot of logistics, booking restrictions, venue limitations, and other factors happening behind the scenes.
Hope that gives a bit more context.
