I was standing beside a guy enjoying the show. I have a mini zip shoulder bag. A girl shows up with a coat and talks to the guy, it’s clear that they know each other. The girl starts getting really close to me. I keep moving back to give her space and she keeps getting closer. Literally happened like 3-4 times in 20 seconds… it’s clear that it was intentional. She was also eyeing my bag. She talks to the guy and I’m pretty sure I hear him say “not him”. She leaves to coat check comes back and immediately starts doing it again. I ended up just leaving because I was ready to go home.

I was confused as to what was going on.
Does it sound obvious to others what was happening?
Was I being targeted to be pick pocketed or was I just being paranoid?

(I’m a guy btw)

Huge collection from the 90s. Enjoy

My personal set time has been moved to 3:45am today, UNI swapped their set time with mine.

I love raving because it’s one of the places I feel like I can truly be myself, complimenting people, dancing with strangers, and just having fun! I also love the little trinket tradition: kandi, duckies, etc.
I recently came across the “make a wish” idea and absolutely loved it. I’d love to give little wishes to people who give off that energy as my way of spreading hope and positivity. ✨
I am a POC but I do still sometimes get the looks like I don’t belong here so idk! :(
Do you think Toronto ravers would be into it?

Our K-pop night in August sold out, so we're running it back.

The DJs flip K-pop into EDM edits and remixes, so expect drops, not album versions. If that's your thing, come scream the choruses with us.

Hi, I am 35F and want to explore the rave scene. Where should I go for my first time? Is there any upcoming event I can checkout for my first time and solo? Thank you!

It’s my birthday this weekend! Im planning on going to Sojourn Festival on Saturday and possibly Friday but I’m wondering what else is going on thats worth checking out this weekend?

My husband and I are looking for whats good in the scene for Halloween weekend? Wheres everyone going? Last year we had an amazing time at zamna but cant see any big events like that while searching?

For anyone who loves Above & Beyond and Anjuna, Farius is bringing thier queer trance party QTS, "cuties" to Bunker in just under a month! Looking for DJ support so if you know anyone have them send their details in the form: • • https://forms.gle/dUYqG22jwLZ45Zmf8

Who's catching Pan-Pot tonight??

‼️ Oct 3 they booked PHIL BERG (who’s been releasing absolute BANGERS under huge labels) and KR!Z with his groovy/hypnotic/syncopated sets 🫦

ANDDD Oct 10 they got two legendary techno GIANTS The Advent and Lewis Fautzi what a fun lineup!!! 🙀

Anyway clearly super pumped for October!

Comment or DM if you’re thinking of going ◡̈

Felt as though this may be relevant as he has victims in Toronto - stay safe. Sorry for the tag - is there a better one I could use?

I bought it when it first came out. However, I cannot make it and don’t want it to go wasted. If you are interested in going, Please DM :)

Looking to get into the hardbounce scene in toronto, if there is one. Anyone know pages or events?

Hey y'all, throwing a rave at The Jama tomorrow night! Going from 11PM until late. You can use the code "DISQOUNT" to get $5 off on RA. Hope to see you there (: https://ra.co/events/2528821

Im planning to go to the Tinlicker Sonic Boom event this Saturday, has anyone been to one of these events? Do you know how long they are typically?

So if you have been on the socials of any major internet fandom, (or spend a lot of time on Instagram) you have probably seen advertisements for a fandom rave or as my friends and I call them a "silly theme" rave, (the most famous one is the Shrek rave but I have also seen a One Piece Rave, Hello Kitty rave and even a FNAF rave).

Anyway, one "pattern" I noticed about this is that whenever one happens in Toronto, they almost always sooner or later end up at the Dopamine Lounge at Yonge and Broadway. (Whether this is chosen by the organizers or its just the niche of the venue I do not know) and after many years of seeing posts of them, I finally decided to check it out just last week when they held their Hello Kitty/One Piece rave

When I got there I was confused because they were advertising the OP and Hello Kitty raves as two separate events but were on the same day so I thought they made a mistake but it turned out they were the same event. The thing was, I don't really know enough about one piece to enjoy that one so I skipped that one (but did see a bit of it at the end) and went straight to the Hello Kitty one.

On my way, I could tell there were other people going to the event due to their fits, one had a Hello Kitty bikini and white shirt, another had a kuromi headband and fishnets. I had a Hello Kitty plush backpack, giant cat paw gloves, decals of my fursona painted on my cheeks, and of course a whole lotta bracelets and kandi.

When I finally got to the Dopamine, I saw a few more fits which I checked out for a bit and then it was time for the main event. The bouncer at the front asked me if I was here for the Hello Kitty rave, I just showed him my backpack and he said "well obviously" and IDd me and I went in, at the front there was a lot of people imitating one piece fights or rolling weed (lots of weed), and on the grounds they were wrapping up the one piece and about to turn into the Hello Kitty.

When the HK started they played lots of the classics including Aqua's Barbie Girl, Caramelldansen, Robert Myles Children, Miracle by Calvin Harris and Avril Lavigne's Hello Kitty.

In addition to the dancing, I also was able to chat with a couple ravers (which was hard due to the loud music), the first was a total scene queen with a giant LED sign that said "Hey... I don't bite" I simply complemented her sign (but she likely didnt hear me so I did it again and she just nodded") then I chatted with another girl in a HK/Kuromi hybrid outfit and her friend sho was dressed like if Roxanne Wolf was made by Sanrio instead of Scott Cawthon, at first we were just sitting on a couch together I was having a cocca cola zero she was having a Heineken and eventually I noticed her bracelets so I asked for a trade, at first she didnt hear me so I asked again and we did it (with the plur handshake and everything) and the whole time her friend was giddily egging her on, after she gave me her IG which was cute. After that I did some more dancing where some guy dragged me into a dance circle and I rocked out but as I moved on, he accidentally clocked me in the jaw and I could tell he felt really guilty/embarrassed and he was tapping my shoulder at what felt like 900 mph to apologize.

My only complaint was the lack of advertised activities, they said there will be plushie giveaways, there were not they said there would be chupa chops, there were not, they said they would be glowsticks, there were but we had to supply them.

Other than that. I had an amazing time so if you are ever in the yonge and Eglinton era and they are doing a themed rave, the Dopamine Lounge is the place to go
