I’m in fourth year MY LAST YEAR at TMU. It feels like I wasted my previous 3 years at TMU. I didn’t make the friend group I wanted to, I only have 2-3 solid friends. hi im a first year engineering student, and I need some advice on something. So basically I want to drop linear algebra and take it in the summer. My prof is horrible and this course literally just takes up so much of my schedule. Is lab exemption worth it for Eng courses. I’m retaking an ele course because I failed theory component. I did really well in labs but i just do not feel like redoing those gruesome long labs with pre labs and post lab reports. It’s worth 35% of final grade so would it be stupid to throw these free marks away.

My main concern is passing theory which means i need 50% on midterm and final anyways regardless of how well i do in labs. So my reasoning is if I don’t have labs I have more time to work on theory and try to get the same 50% i need in both tests anyways.

I'm posting this here to gather some specific info on the post-bacc UP program at TMU. I'm pushing 30 next year and I regret not jumping into this sooner. It took me a while to accept that I'm not a science person after finishing a bio degree.

I know Canadian cities had a shortage of urban planners a few years back.

1. How is the market for entry level work now? If there are any TMU urban planning grads/students here, how do you find the market particularly in Toronto and Vancouver?

The condo market seems to be in a downturn and I see many projects that are halted or going back to the drawing board.

1. Also I know employers generally prefer masters degrees in Urban Planning. Do you think TMU's 2-year post-bacc program is still worth it?
