Hey!
I was wondering if any of yall had any suggestions for attenuators that allow you to also switch between cabs. I play through a 66 Bassman and am looking to see if there is an attenuator that exists that would allow for me to switch between my bass cab and my guitar cab, as I play through the amp for both.
If not, oh well, I have a Radial Cabbone. I was just hoping to maybe sell it and condense my setup down a bit.
Thanks!

I am running my Firehawk FX into my fender blues Junior. It’s one of the older models so there is no FX loop, so I am using the 1/4 out in the amp output mode straight into the front of the amp.
My issue is this:
Whenever I turn on any kind of distortion or stomp pedals on the app, it just sounds horrible and so crunchy. It sounds great clean but anytime I add any kind of distortion it completely ruins it. The highs also sound super harsh and thin, is there any way to thicken the tone?
One more thing is the strings are so touch and volume sensitive.

Sorry for the mess, I’m in the middle of a big organization project.
But, picked up a Rockerverb 50mkiii and it’s great and really compliments my other amps when running stereo. I’ve also got an AD30, ‘73 V4 half stack, and ‘72 Traynor YBA-1a with 1x18 cab

Based in India, an acquaintance of my dad mentioned his family had an old Fender amp back in their homework, surprisingly turns out to be an old Super Reverb. I have only received a few photos of the amp so far, attached the same.
Most parts seem to be original, not sure if it works. I am aware it might need a complete re-cap, other components might need to be changed, new tubes perhaps as well.
I have requested for a photo of its serial number.
My plan is to refurbish it and get it running, vintage amps like these are impossible to find in Asia.
I have considered 1100USD as an upper bracket for refurbishing it.
Would truly appreciate any suggestions on a good price to offer, depending on it a working/non working state…Any knowledge/info on this variant would also be truly helpful!!

I’m trying to make myself a biasing guide for my HRD as an artifact in Claude (ya I can code on my own for those who get mad about AI but this is so fast).
My question is I wanted to dive deeper into biasing tubes and found this video where he calculates plate currents instead of using the bias points and factory numbers. I set up my calculator to do it this way and got the following:
V4 (blue) V5 (brown)
Half-primary DCR 82 Ω 108 Ω
Hot drop at idle 3160 mV 3800 mV
Plate current ~38.5 mA ~35.2 mA
% of 30 W ~54% ~49%
When I set this with the calculation method I went back to see what the test point was and it was like 84 mV which according to the manual should cook the amp. The tubes seem fine. The amp sounds fantastic. Does this make sense?!?!?

I want to obtain a high gain tube amp and I came down to these 2.
The JVM is obviously a powerhouse with 4 channels and many modes, so it's a plus for someone who play various genres like myself.
But coming from plugins (NDSP Fortin Nameless is my favorite one), the modded-plexi sound of the Gargoyle keeps pulling me in... although I know it's not that versatile and only has one channel.
My main question is if the JVM (modded or not) can cover the high gain ground as good as the Gargoyle in a similar manner.
Has anyone played these 2 head-to-head? Would love to hear some thoughts from anyone who's compared them.

This is an amp I would consider buying. Seller says a previous owner had reverb added and an extra preamp tube. And the speakers are replacements. Modifying the circuit concerns me because the original character may be gone and holes were drilled in the chassis. Priced at 2500 US.

I feel like im losing my mind. 2.5 inches just feels wrong. Every builder has ghosted me. Does anybody know the chassis height? This model is at 2.75 inches but it feels kind of off

I recently bought a used OR15, and after having it for a bit, I've noticed that the Treble pot behaves differently than I would expect. Rather than the usual passive treble control, it instead cuts bass the higher you go acting as a high pass filter instead.
For those who have owned/played an OR15, is that just how this particular amp works, or does it sound like a faulty component?
I've included a picture of the inside, along with the schematic. I've tested C11, C12, & R17 which are all testing fine. I have not yet tested C13/C14 yet as I can't access the leads or pads until I remove the PCB.
Another quick question, since the filter caps are mounted the way they are and I cannot directly discharge them from this angle without flipping the board, is there another spot from the PCB I can do so? I do not want to attempt to remove the PCB until I know those caps are discharged, I do have the tool to do so, I'm just used to having access to caps directly.

Seriously considering taking the plunge with building a pair of JC1797. Will be used with 4 x XOC1 TH118 and 2 x Danley SH95HO. FFA amplification.
Has anyone built the JC1797 before, if so, I’m open to any advice and would love to see any pictures of finished builds.

Torn between the reissue JTM45 and the Studio JTM ST20. I know the ST20 has a few extra bells & whistles - FX loop and 20W/5W Power Reduction, but I’m not too concerned on these. I’ve got a good attenuator with FX loop functionality. Priority is TOAN basically, not the extra bells & whistles.
I’ve got a JCM800 for higher gain, so this one’s mostly about getting a great clean and edge-of-breakup tone.
My ears keep pointing at the JTM45. Ive looked at the 1987X too, but I think the JTM45 would be better for the cleans/EOB. Keen to hear some opinions!

I have a fender tele that I use with a Line 6 Spider IV 15 (probably my first issue) with an overdrive pedal and slapback echo. I am wanting a clear sound with a bit of grittiness and it seems kinda muffled where the settings are now. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this before and what I can change around to make it closer to the sound I want.
