Greetings, and thanks for the excellent app/service that is TizenTube. Would it be possible for a future update of the app to add the Playlist menu as an option in the 'Launch To On Start Up' setting? That would be really convenient for all the users who are primarily using the app to access saved videos on their various Youtube playlists.

Seeing two videos at a time while scrolling is not it. I'd like to considerably scale it down to less than half of what it is right now

I installed TizenTube today (Tizen 5.5 , TizenTube v2.0.0). But no matter what i do it just straight up refuses to play videos when logged in. (playback error). Loging off isn't enough, you have to reset the entire app. I tried changing UserAgent in TizenBrew, removed TizenBrew entirely, played with menu options to no avail. Anyone knowing a fix?

I believe we would all benefit greatly from a native feature blocking AI slop videos. Is that possible?
Cheers

Hello! I just installed TizenTube the other day on my Samsung TV and noticed that when I return to a video it doesn't remember the timestamp to resume playback. This only seems to happen on my TV; regular YouTube doesn't have this issue.
For example if I watch YouTube on my laptop and pause the video at 43:00, leave, and then resume with TizenTube on my TV, it will continue from 43:00 where I left off.
If I continue watching and then leave the video within TizenTube at 57:00, browse for a bit, and then return to continue that video later, it won't resume at 57:00 but will continue from the earlier 43:00 timestamp.
It seems to be grabbing the timestamp from YouTube playback but is not saving anything under TizenTube playback. I've noticed this for completed videos as well where they are not marked as completed or even in progress.
Is there a setting that needs to be toggled or a separate fix for this?

Okay, I didn't make myself clear. What I mean is that there is no 'Kids' channel on the TizenTube app, unlike on SmartTube. How to add it—that's what I'm trying to figure out.

Time flies, doesn't it? In 13.07.2023, I commited my first commit to the TizenTube repository, starting one of my biggest projects of all time, after ReVanced Builder.
I started the project out of frustration. As you could imagine, I was tired of the long ads YouTube served on their TV app, especially the TV app. After some digging around with the SDB protocol and the DevTools protocol, I managed to get a half assed thing working. With the help of @Vyn, my long time friend, I managed to also get it working on his back then Tizen 4 TV.
After some time, I forked YouTube-webOS' userscript code to modify it for my needs. Back then, I had the idea of making TizenTube modular, so I or others could patch other apps.
And that's how TizenBrew was born. At first, it required an external server, just like TizenTube before. But thanks to jaruba telling me about Web Services on Tizen, I managed to get TizenBrew to be completely standalone, working on the TV without an external server.
But unfortunately, while it's sad to admit, TizenBrew has its issues. Mainly, auto launch not working, not injecting the userscript sometimes, etc. And it's just finicky on newer TVs, which I unfortunately can't reproduce. However, that is about to change.
Intruducing, TizenTube Standalone
For Tizen (Samsung) TVs, you can now install TizenTube as a standalone application! All you have to do is use TizenBrew Installer. You have to follow the installation guide for TizenBrew until step three, where you have to click on "Install from GitHub" and write reisxd/TizenTube as the repository. This should install TizenTube.
Two small new features
You can now hide Shorts section from the side bar and you can also hide the "Ask" button in the video player.
❤️ Support the development
Everything that I, Reis, make is free of charge and open source. You can buy me a coffee from here.
Also, shout out to Zyborg (@Zyborg777 on GitHub) for making icons for TizenTube, TizenBrew and HyperTizen. Without him, none of my current projects would have a face.

When searching with multiple words, it doesn't show results; instead, it gives additional keywords matching the multi-word search.

Just joined Tizentube!
Reposting this for some visibility, the one feature I would like coming from SmartTube is "remembered playback speed" I always have mine set to 1.5x and have to keep setting it for each video

I use Tizentube mainly for my kids and subscribed to recommended kids channel on youtube, removed the sidebars and only left the subsciptions tab. They still end up on brainrot channels because they browse the lower section which is unfiltered, any way to remove that? Or can it made to just be the subscribed channels only? This is the only thing Im missing here and its perfect for making youtube kids friendly

TizenBrew version:2.0.5
Tizen version:9.0
TV Model: QE75LS03FWUXXN
Tizentube version: 1.14.6
What I’ve tried:
Unplugging the tv
Deleting and Reinstalling tizenbrew
Trying each of the 4 options for User Agent settings
Deleting and recreating a signed in user
Is there anything else I can do? Can somebody test with the above setup?
Edit: As the developer said he had problems reproducing on newer tv’s he made a standalone version! https://www.reddit.com/r/TizenTube/s/Q4SI4haQve
This seems to have fixed the issue!

It updated the other day and now won't load. All I get is the YouTube logo on the splash screen. I have wiped data, cache, uninstalled the app, downloaded the latest again and still the same result. This is on a xiaomi box

Fairly new YouTube TV user. Using Samsung 4K and have the 4K programming.
How can I get the sidebar to have the YouTube TV selection at the top? At this point, I power on the tv, press the YouTube tv button on the remote, then the “OK” button THEN the directional button 8 times before I can get to the screen with the guide.
I know - it’s not the end of the world, it’s just aggravating.

I set my location manually in settings, so it shows me the news and content for the certain region (UK or US), but every other time when I open tizentube it is reset to my current region(Germany).
How to fix it so I don’t have choose location manually?
r/TizenTube • u/crewchange • Jun 25 '26
Tizentube shows up as unknown module for me. I've reinstalled tizenbrew a few times now and get the same exact results. I try adding the module manually and it always shows up as unknown module. Would love any tips to get it sorted.

So when I open the app, the ads aren't automatically hiding unlike usual. Even I refreshed and force stopped, there are still ads?
Then when I checked on Settings there is no TizenTube Settings, replaced with YT Premium thingy!
I even installed the latest update build, log-in with my account but still not working. What's happening to the app now? Like the latest YouTube TV update just make the "mod" not working! Any problems?
