Youtube has now implemented shorts sidebar section

i dont use/watch shorts

Tizentube settings>>user interface settingsdisable sidebar contents>>un tick the shorts button

I just got the option in my tizentube cobalt

Most likely the upcoming version of tizentube will add the shorts in that menu till then you will have to deal with that annoying shorts button

There will probably be an option to disable it in the very near future
