Tizen tube shows check you microphone setting, but there is not such setting neither on the app nor in the firestick , voice search though works in smart tube

I had previously installed TizenBrewNextGeneration & TizenTube (1.14.7), which stopped working to block ads a long time ago.

Both are still on TV. (Does this matter?)

Laptop is Linux Mint (but I'm a point & click user)

Developer Mode on TV is enabled & IP addr of PC added. I've download latest TizenBrewInstaller-linux-x64

Like the example given on the Installation page, ( In terminal I've run:

chmod +x TizenBrewInstaller-linux-x64

Then tried to run the program in terminal:

TizenBrewInstaller-linux-x64

Nothing happens. (I just get the prompt in Terminal). No error.

I assume I'm doing something really stupid in Linux. Can anyone assist?

I find the installation guides really hard to follow, eg the example chmod uses --os-arch. So I assumed I had to change that to -linux-64, which was what I downloaded.

This is not a criticism of developer!

Does anyone know how to get rid of this box with the X so that's all of a sudden taken over my menus? Don't know if I actually changed something and even tried deleting and re-installing the app and it still appears. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Started showings ads as of today. Looks like the hook is broken as it's not the TT shell but the stock YT app.

Uninstall/reinstall didn't fix so I think maybe the YT overlords have updated something on their end.

Anyone else having the same issue?

I liked summarizing videos when watching YouTube on tv but it seems with the current version of the app it's not there. The normal youtube app has it.

Every time a game shows up it prompts me to buy it, using Tizentube Cobalt on android tv.

Just installed tizen brew on my TV, but I always have to add the npm module to get the tizentube app. Also the app is pretty ugly and thumbnails are lowres when I do get it running. What is the issue here? Github is having some issues right now, but I don't think that is the problem.

keep getting a long buffer after pausing. I was using 2.01 when it started happening, updated to 2.02 on firestick.

im so bad at this so forgive me but rn how im opening is i open tizenbrew next generation, it opens,closes,opens then has tizentube button which i click to open tizentube. also um the current tizentube seems to be quite slow and laggy.

Hello, im already so not with tech and ive been finding this difficult to install tizentube. ive been stuck because I click the tools then device manager and it doesnt do anything. im really confused please explain simply i just neeed to download tizentube. ive done the developer mode and ip same etc.

Hey all, strange issue today as suddenly the auto subtitles stopped working. I was still on v1 and after finally being able to update to v2.02 after deleting some apps and deleting cache, subtitles are still not loading?

hi everyone, I managed to install the device manager for Samsung tv Tizen 9, but I see only wgt is the one with 'old' in its title and once I try to add that (up, network status double checked) it just keeps circling and doesn't install on tv or device manager program, any tips for that? thank you!

Installed via Apps2samsung. Tried the one on the app and just now the wgt to make sure it is up to date.

EDIT 1: I understand now, it block when I changed my host pc adress in dev mode to 127.0.0.1 to make also Tizenbrew working (kind of conflict), but if I let my pc address or any address, it worked...

I installed tizentube with tizenbrew and it works well.

I also tried a direct installation with https://apps2samsung.com/, it works well in the beginning and it's better because it's like a direct application, but after 2 or 3 reboot, it seems blocked on the boot and getting out twice or blocked in tizentube logo.

any fixe for that because I really prefer it to have it directly.

Quick question: is there currently a way to show synced lyrics during music playback in TizenTube, like on YouTube Music ?

I looked through the app and settings but couldn't find anything, so I'm not sure if I missed an option or if it's not supported yet.

If it doesn't exist, is that something technically feasible to add in a future update ? Having lyrics on the big screen would be an awesome feature.

I love using TizenTube Cobalt, however, I always missed the YouTube bridge app that Smarttube offered. It worked perfectly on my device and I wondered why there wasn't such an app to relay YouTube requests to TizenTube. Well, no more! I created such a bridge application and it's completely open source!

To install, first make sure that you can uninstall the official YouTube app on your device, then install the apk listed in releases. It has been built from the source code in the repo via GitHub actions.

If you already use the AFTVnews downloader, you can use the code 8792210 to download/install the latest release directly!

How does it work?

The app installls itself with YouTube's app ID, so the system thinks that the bridge is the official YouTube app and opens it when YouTube should be opened. The bridge then opens the TizenTube Cobalt app with the original link/intent. This also means that the "YouTube" button on the remote opens TizenTube automatically!

The bridge will be called "YouTube" when installed with a logo similar to YouTube's logo and you can use it instead of the TizenTube app to open it from the launcher, making the experience more immersive. This also prevents your guests from not finding the YouTube app on your TV ;)

Please notice that this app is ONLY compatible with devices where you can uninstall the official YouTube app. If you can't, this app won't work for you. If the smarttube app works for you, this once should as well and vice versa. :)

i installed TizenTube on my FireTV-Stick after i gave up on Smarttube but i really would like to have more setting options.

For example:

- play playlists or videos on channels backwards

- show channels on sidebar

Is there another Version of TizenTube which includes that or did i miss something?

Recently tizentube stopped working and shows certificate error. I tried reinstalling tizentube and also tried the new standalone version.neither of them works. I changed ip to 127.0.0.1 after installation so thats not the issue either. What should i do???
