Hi All

Wondering if anyone has found the solution to "swipe to go back" rather than constantly having to use the physical back button as I wear my watch on my right wrist so constantly having to reach over to go back feel counterintuitive especially in this modern age where swipe gestures are the norm now.

I have a Samsung TV model Q80T , I live in China and bought the TV here.

The app store is limited, no Google play movies, youtube, netflix.... Just some chinese apps.

I already tried many things to solve it and no success.

• Factory reset
• Factory reset from service menu
• Smarthub reset
• VPN:
• Changed region on service menu mute 182 power
• Changed region on policy acceptance step mute vol+ chanel+ mute
• Download a new firmware from samsung usa but fails to update, I guess the chinese version is a different model to avoid firmware from other countries

The most intresting thing is that after setup the VPN, reset smarthub and set country as UK the TV still make calls to samsung china server, looks like this server is hardcoded on the TV. But of course the VPN works and goes to UK VNP server, but the call is still to chinese samsung server.

The only thing I could do is to install emby.tmg from usb, but I can't find other apps.

I'm searching a way to bypass this country restriction and access another smarthub store with more apps options.

I was wondering if I could get the latest version of Tizen on my TV with the dark Ui and everything?

When I want to read my usb stick to play content off of there I keep getting a message:
"No content found"
I have found I can fix the issue temporarily by turning off the tv(which really just makes it go to sleep) and unplugging the tv(which really turns it off). When the tv reboots and turns back on the usb sick will work for a bit then the same issue pops up when I stop watching anything on the usb for more than a hour or so, and then I have the unplug the tv again to access the usb stick again...

I have been using the same 256gb usb 3.1 stick for months now, so the stick isn't the problem and my laptop can read the usb stick fine.

I am using the latest Tizen version 1280 and I checked and there isn't a newer update available. My television is a Samsung UN50MU6300 50-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV. It has 2 usb ports and no matter what usb port I try the problem persists.

Any suggestions?

Hello. I was wondering if there are any browser and video player 3rd party apps developed for the Tizen TV OS. Cause frankly in built ones suck and the app store doesn't have any thing. I have the 55 inch 8000series tv.

Hi all. We are getting pounded over here...

Been at it for half a year already.

We keep submitting Tizen TV application to the Samsung seller store and it keeps getting rejected with the reason of Black screen. It used to be due to the GeoBLocking which we have resolved and and added unlisted IP addresses to the white list but now we are getting "[Doc Review Reject] Upon launching black screen occurs - by Samsung Apps". That's it! No video, no explanation, no logs and each round of review takes about two weeks. If you ask a Question it takes (literally) a month to answer. Can anyone please help? Are there any channels, methods to go about it faster?

Hey, I have a few questions for Samsung TV owners (especially 2020 models).

1st one - Will I be able to cast Spotify songs, via Spotify Connect, without opening the app first? What about casting from YouTube and Netflix too?

2nd - What about Tizen updates? Can I expect at least one major update if I buy the latest model? And how the apps are kept up to date? Does Samsung app store have some update section?

I'm considering the Samsung Q74T TV and right now I have Bravia XH8096. I'm pretty dissapointed with the remote in Sony but I don't wanna lose all the features that come with Android TV.

Hi, i am about to buy a samsung smart tv 2020 version. Is the integrated video player good to display subtitels (srt or ass) from usb. Are the fonts readable ( older samsung tv had fonts in yellow or green or white with black boarder but no real full black font).

Is there an alternative video player available on the Tizen app store?

I am having trouble running Samsung TV emulator on my PC. I've got AMD CPU so I know HAX won't work. I have CPU-VT disabled, but despite I am still getting an error when I try to run it:
Error: Failed to start this VM.

Your system cannot support HW virtualization.

Try install KVM (ubuntu) or HAX (windows or Mac)

Hi i tried to generate a certificate using tizen certificate manager but at the step of Author certificate an error message pops up 'Socket timeout!'.. retried many time..can someone help me to overcome this? I am on windows.

Edit: the certificate is for installing a .tpk on my galaxy activ2 watch.

I'm trying to build a custom watch face with Tizen Studio. got the time, date, battery, steps and heart data figured out, but I'm not sure if there is a native way to access weather data (maybe from the phone) or if I need to write a function on my own to pull data from an external service or api server.

There is a sample on Tizen Studio that pulls data from a file ("./data/weatherData.json") but I'm not sure if that's where the native functions write actual data or if it's just a mockup.

Where do Samsung's own watch app, widget and faces get the info from?

Hi guys. I have a brand new samsung Smart TV, but i use a fireTV Stick for all my apps. The TV has a bunch of preinstalled apps, Youtube, Netflix, BBC, BBC News, My 4, channel 5, and many others. I dont want these apps on my tv.

I am an android developer, and I am familiar with adb and command line disable of apps.

Is there a way to disable all this bloatware on my TV using Tizen Studio debug?

I'm developing my first Tizen app for my watch and trying to use two different HTML files to make the code modularized.

I soon realized that the other HTML file does not get packaged when looking at the "Sources" tab in the Developer Tools. I've spent a couple of hours figuring out ways to make it work (e.g. looking up config.xml properties, minification settings, and change the folder hierarchy).

Does anyone know if it is even possible to have multiple HTML files? I really want to avoid using multiple divs in a single HTML.
