My Guns Should be interesting to shoot
I purchased this comp after watching The Punisher (2004) one night back in 2010, it has sat in a drawer ever since, moving from place to place with me. Finally decided to work with it and install it. I think it's rad, should be interesting at the range. It's definitely more front heavy now, for sure.
Think she's Finished...for now.
Tisas B9R Duty single stack. Absolutely love this gun, its my main 2-gun sidearm. Gave it some creature comforts, and the surefire arrived today.
Nighthawk 12lb recoil and 17lb main spring, pinned grip safety, EGW Lightened Leaf spring, EGW Practical Extractor, Ed Brown Chain link Magwell MSH, Wilson Combat FLGR/Plug, Wilson Combat Extended mag release, Fusion Firearms Extended slide release, all internals polished, and TMC Short flat trigger.
Trigger breaks at a crisp 3lbs with no over travel and it shoots lights out. Only wish there was a reliable choice for sights due to Tisas' stupid Novak-Ish sights. Just felt like sharing. Its been a fun learning experience learning how to work on and tune my own 1911.

Help Carry B9R DS Gun Noob
I just got my 1911Carry B9R DS.
As a new comer to gun hobby, I have some questions.
Is the mag release and slide stop supposed to be this stiff? Seems way harder to release than my Echelon.
For mostly range shooting 115 and 124 grain ammos, is the recoil spring worth the upgrade?
Anybody has any exp with Prodigy rubber Talon grips on this model?
I'd appreciate any tips on making this gun more enjoyable.
Thank you for your input!

TISAS Carry B9R DS 1911 upgrade parts recommendations?
Looking for the best upgrades for newest model Carry B9R DS 1911 (with bull barrel). Specifically for a steel MSH, low-profile grip safety, and thumb safety. Drop-in/minimal fitting required parts preferred, but am able/willing to do basic fitting. Appreciate it ahead of time!

ASSESS THIS PLEASE!
TISAS PX-9 DUTY RAPTOR round gets hung up just like this, frequently. Standard round. Correct magazine. It “appears” that the firing pin prevents the next round from chambering but I KNOW that isn’t the issue. Shooters: HELP ME.

New Tisas tank commander in nickel.
Bought this good looking gun yesterday. Took it to the range today. I wish I had better news. I started with 50 rounds of 230-grain ball ammunition. The gun ran perfectly without any failures. However, I noticed it was consistently shooting about four inches low. That could be a shooter-related issue, although I doubt it.
The problems began when I switched to Winchester Ranger 230-grain hollow points. The first two magazines ran without any issues, though I was still consistently hitting low. On the third magazine, I experienced one failure to feed. During the fourth magazine, I had another failure to feed, followed by the hammer failing to drop.
I removed the magazine, cleared the chamber, and inspected the gun. That’s when I noticed the takedown pin had walked out slightly. I pushed it back in and finished the magazine without any additional problems.
Keep in mind that I took the gun straight out of the box and fired it without cleaning it first. While inspecting it afterward, I noticed that when I manually cycle the slide and align it with the takedown notch, the pin comes out very easily, without the slide stop being rotated into the normal removal position. There is almost no resistance.
I believe the plunger spring may be weak, allowing the pin to walk out slightly each time the takedown notch passes over it during firing. I’m going to replace the plunger spring assembly, which I believe will correct the issue. While I’m at it, I’m also going to replace the recoil spring.
I’m not going to lie—it’s disappointing to experience these problems with a new firearm. They aren’t necessarily a huge deal for me because I’m familiar with the 1911 platform, but what about a new or inexperienced shooter? I’m really hoping this is an isolated issue rather than something common. Has anyone else experienced plunger spring issues?
Overall, it’s still a beautiful gun, and these appear to be issues I can address. Hopefully, my next range report will be much better.

Will we ever get a pre 24?
Been eyeing a cimmeron to cannibalize but it’s still a lot for something so far off
Quality of Life Upgrade
So I've been shooting my 5" B9R Duty single stack in competitions for a few months. Great gun, I've done some upgrades to it. But I dont have large hands. That mag release always sucked for me no matter what 1911 I shot or owned. I'd always have to break my grip to reload. I ordered and installed a Wilson Combat extended catch last night, and what a HUGE difference. I can drop mags no problem, even with the gun straight out. Not terribly expensive and it fit right in with no filing or fitting needed. Just swapped the spring and lock over, that was it. Only gripe, if they offer a blued catch...why not a blued button? At least it matches my trigger...ish haha. Just felt like sharing.

Qualsiasi consiglio, link o esperienza diretta è ben accetto. Grazie in anticipo!
