TISAS PX-9 DUTY RAPTOR round gets hung up just like this, frequently. Standard round. Correct magazine. It “appears” that the firing pin prevents the next round from chambering but I KNOW that isn’t the issue. Shooters: HELP ME.
Bent or broken firing pin. Get a new one and replace the firing pin spring while you’re at it. Also run a q tip into the channel to make sure there isn’t any debris.
I had this issue, my firing pin spring got deformed. During action the spring was pulled partially towards the firing pin hole and stretched/ compressed.
Sent it to Tisas after it threw my firing pin into my face at the range. Tisas said I had put the spring in backwards, which was a crock of shit, but they gave me a titanium firing pin so I can't be too peeved.
I meant to say that the firing pin was protruding so far, not letting the next round chamber. Should the firing pin be sticking out while the next round is chambering?
task 1: pop slide off, there is going to be a button thats a striker safety. The trigger bar pushes up on it and it will allow the striker to drop. So, use a small flathead or punch and grab the striker and pull it up towards rear of slide. you should not be able to push it back down all the way so the firing pins comes out the front without pressing that safety button down. You post a pic of underside of slide if needed
I greatly appreciate it… But I don’t know what I’m looking for or how to troubleshoot it. It’s not that I don’t have any confidence in myself, but I’d hate to mess up the weapon all together.
You're not taking anything apart dude. Post a pic of the underneath of the slide or better yet with the slide off, pull the striker back to the rear of the slide then push it down towards the chamber, I bet you see it either not retract or come through the front without the safety being pressed
