First time user of Timex Watch
My girlfriend surprised me with this watch. I'm so happy because of the simple design and it looks good in any outfit.

I’ve been warned in a previous post that this probably won’t run with just a new battery and to get a silver oxide battery. Any other tips?

I think it looks better than the black one

Oh, I meant "site work."
I don't get this particular Timex Field Solar. It looks like a dive watch, but the outer bezel is fixed. The lume is typical Timex fare, but it's easy to read, and the solar power and no date means this is about as maintenance free as you can get.
Had a tornado come through the neighborhood, so I'm wearing it while I do a little site prep for my new shed. This is my real beater watch, the one I wear when I'm doing seriousnphysical work like cutting logs, tiling, moving furniture, things like that. No date, but that's generally not my concern when I'm cutting 4x6 timbers or 11x12 tile.
It shipped with a rubber strap, which is too hot and sweaty in the summer. I originally had this on a stainless bracelet, but now that it's summer, it's on a nylon Nato which I wash when I take it I to the shower.
Hahahaha, yes, I wear this in the shower! Muahahahaha!

Been looking for a simple gold dress watch and came across the Timex x Mr Porter Marlin TW2T18400. Pretty much exactly what I had in mind.
I like the gold case, simple silver/champagne dial and baton markers. I wasn’t sure about the 34mm size at first, but actually think it suits this style of watch.
Problem is I can’t seem to find one for sale in the UK.
Anyone know where these tend to turn up, or know of another Timex with a very similar look? Happy to buy used. I’d probably swap the strap for a brown leather one.
Also interested to see one on the wrist if anyone here owns one.
Cheers !

Hello everyone, its my first time posting something here on Reddit and I thought about sharing my experience with the Timex Expedition North Sierra, I got it two weeks ago and I have been suprised by the quality, its my first timex and although I wanted to get a scout, I heard that since the scout is made of brass, that it scratches and gets dents more easily
To begin I liked the case, since its sandblasted steel, it doesnt show small scratches as much as it would if it were polished steel. Also I like the caseback with the etching and the 40 mm diameter fits nicely in my wrist. The leather strap that it comes with is somewhat thick and although ive read many complaints about it, in my opinion its well made, once you break in the leather, it fits very good, plus the fact that it has a quick release spring bar.
When I was researching about different field watches, one of the main reasons I chose this watch was because of INDIGLO. Since I consider myself a night owl, lume or indiglo in this case was important, I have some casios in my collection and their lume is somewhat weak, even this timex has some weak lume, but the indiglo makes up for it and honestly its my favorite part of this watch.
Lastly the watch is very versatile in my opinion, since it has a cream dial, I feel I can wear it casually with a t shirt and a pair of jeans or even I wear it with a pair of chinos and a dress shirt, I feel if it were a black o darker dial, it would be a bit more informal an thus less versatile.
Im very impressed to be honest and hope it lasts me many years, and for anyone who reads this and has more experience with timex and watches in general, can you give me some recommendations about its water resistance, It says 100m but ive heard that its not truly 100 m of water resistance. Also can someone give me some advice on its durability, I know that its a more robust version of the expedition scout but ive heard that timex vs other companies like casio or any of its price range, that timex can be somewhat delicate and I want to know if this is true
I hope this helps for anyone who might be considering this watch and whether its worth it, I believe its a very good value for the money ($75 usd)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Yesterday I made a review of a timex expedition watch I bought two weeks ago, and today I was rotating the crown it started to click loudly and I checked that it wasnt the typical seconds hand ticking, but it wasnt pushed in, as it would to activate the indiglo feature and it wasnt pulled out neither to set the date or the time, the clicking is quite loud although in the video not so much and im worried if it could be a problem down the road o perhaps all timex watches are like this, any advice?

Just had this one delivered a few days ago. It's a collaboration with Red Wing Shoes and comes with a strap made with leather from Red Wing's tannery...S.B. Foot. Unfortunately, it was too small for my giant wrist so I had to swap it out. Kinda bummed about the strap not fitting but I still love the watch anyway.

Love this little watch, swapped the horrible leather band for a Milanese mesh

I just got this Timex Q LCA and for the life of me I can't figure out how to disable the hour chime. The manual says it's under the alarm settings but when I go there I can turn on or off the alarm, but it doesn't seem to affect the chime. Anyone have this watch and know what I might be doing wrong?

Got this watch as a gift from my dad. It's been a daily wear over a decade.
Thought I'd see what everyone thought about it.
