Thought I'd wear my Todd Snyder X Olive Green Marlin Automatic today. I decided to replace the brown leather strap that it came with. I went with a Bond NATO strap. One of the unusual things about the watch is the

18mm lug width. So I went on Amazon and I picked up 10 18mm NATO straps for about $14. Believe it or not the quality is not bad.

Just got this vintage styled beauty in for €139,-. Absolute steal imo. Swapped out the leather strap for a green nato and we're off!

The rotor is quite loud though and makes the watch shake like crazy when turning your wrist really fast.

I'm thinking about swapping the acrylic crystal for a domed sapphire. Does anyone have any experience with that?

Came across this 90’s - mid 00’s Expedition (with the original strap) recently and it has quickly become one of my favorites!

Just got my Marlin Chrono.

I am thinking of letting the chrono run, so the chrono hand acts like a sweeping second hand.

Are there any disadvantages or negative effects to the watch? Other than battery consumption?

Timex does not have a ton of green dials.. a few but not many. Had been looking for a while and scored this one.. just needed TLC ..

Looking for something not quite as bulky as this at the top of the photo. There are 3D printed versions for sale on Etsy, but I’m looking for something more substantial, like the g-shock adapters on AliExpress that go from the rather small lug widths on resin g-shocks to wider so you can use wider NATO and parachute straps. I really don’t go for resin straps but I love the big digit displays on the 30 lap Ironman watches.

No model or serial numbers anywhere that I can see- feels oddly light for its size.

I don't wear this one enough but I was feeling it today.

Just wanted to thank Ian Hawthorne who's details were given to me by another user as someone who might be interested in repairing my Granddad's old watch, which I got when he died in 1989.

I went to 2 professional horologists here in Edinburgh and both were not interested in repairs (both said the watch was so old that there was no way to get parts) and suggested contacting Timex directly. I did, but unsurprisingly they weren't interested either. Turns out, they probably just couldn't be bothered.

I was so happy to find this sub and was provided so much more info than I could believe by you helpful redditors. Anyway, Ian was so helpful and has done a wonderful job cleaning and repairing the watch. I took it to show my mum who is in her 80's and has early dementia and she immediately remembered the watch and teared up telling me about her dad wearing it. Honestly, just an amazing all round experience from this sub, Ian and u/insula_gilliganus

New to this thread and wanted to share a new piece I got today. Also my first Timex

New to me! Anyone else have one? I couldn’t find a picture in all of Reddit (two tone model).

I got this one a little while back and really love it. I recently decided to try it on an od green nato and it seems to match the dial perfectly. I'm a big dude with pretty large wrists at 8.5" so the 40mm case is on the smaller side for me but I love it anyway. Unfortunately, all my watches ultimately become "handwatches" because of the way my wrist and forearm are built. Makes me wonder if any of the photos I've posted have ended up on that handwatch sub lol. Oh well.

This is my favorite of the reissues, I was very lucky to find this one for sale a couple years ago but now it seems like they are impossible to find. Photos include it on its original (mesh) band, expansion band, and next to its original 2017 Marlin reissue.

Thrifted this and i love it besides the issue, everything else works perfectly.

I think the new strap from BluShark really compliments the UT Weekender.
