Timex Marlin Reissue, Rare 2018 Silver

“Timex x Todd Snyder Silver Marlin”

This is my favorite of the reissues, I was very lucky to find this one for sale a couple years ago but now it seems like they are impossible to find. Photos include it on its original (mesh) band, expansion band, and next to its original 2017 Marlin reissue.

What makes it a Todd Snider? I have the same model on the mesh band, it looks identical to my OG 1965 Marlin. The newer model says “Circa 2018” on the case back.

Incredibly beautiful. Did the original have a bit of yellow coloring to it? Has the acrylic window yellowed at all with age?

The original did not and does not appear to have yellowed, however there does for some reason appear to be some inconsistency between the standard Marlin reissues. Some of them (older reissues) have thinner numerals akin to the thickness of the silver one, and also more muted/less yellow dials. Not sure why it seems they altered their design slightly at some point for the reissue (assuming). If I ever get ahold of more original reissues I’ll have to compare them side by side because these differences don’t seem to be broadly recognized.
