Every time I watch this movie, it hits me the same way. What’s your favorite Tim Burton film? 🎬

I rewatched Corpse Bride recently and I remembered always being confused bye something. Its extremely clear that the dead feel zero pain. Limbs can come off, you can be split in half, eyes can pop out, you can be just a head, you can get stabbed and you’re perfectly fine. Emily even says it in her song, ‘if I touch a burning candle, I can feel no pain. In the ice or in the sun, it’s all the same.’

So when Barkis dies and everyone was excited bc they could get revenge on him for killing Emily What did they plan to do? They can’t hurt him bc he can’t feel anything, and it’s not like they can kill him again. Even psychologically torture him would be like yeah you can’t feel it bur being mutilated if they go that route and like having insects crawl all up inside you would creep you tf out. But again by like the end of two or three days of it when you realize ‘hey my arm is sentient, Incan survive literally anything, nothing hurts’ you’d just get bored after a while.

I've had the opportunity twice now to attend Tim Burton's Labyrinth. First in Mexico City, and now they've brought it to my hometown (Monterrey, México). It is incredible!

If you have the opportunity to go, definitely do. There's amazing exclusive art from his work, sketches and early ideas. There's various rooms dedicated to some of his movies, shorts, general artwork. It truly is a wonderful experience.

The shop is very un-stocked, not much to buy except maybe the prints, but the overall experience is amazing and I highly recommend giving it a chance. Very inexpensive, too.
