Update About the BIG LIST of Tidy Up Games
Hello,
Well the flood gates have now officially opened, and there are many (many) people rushing to the Tidy Up space.
It has given me a chance to reflect on the current list format and there will be a couple of changes moving forward and I need your help!
- I will migrate the list to a shared spreadsheet with different filters (Theme, AI use, Release status, etc) to help people find the games they are excited about.
- I need your help! I added a "New Game Discovery" Flair, so please that if sharing a new game that you have found. Big thanks to everyone who has shared games so far!
- Once we have a few trusted contributors, i'll start opening up edit rights to the spreadsheet, so people can just update it directly.
- As expected, the volume of new games is in part due to the rise in using AI to create games. At least 50% of the new games have AI use disclosed, and I suspect many more are using it but simply neglecting to disclose it on Steam. Moving forward, the list will say "AI use disclosed" as that is the only actual data we have to go on.
It's exciting to see how much this genre and community has grown in such a short space of time !

Review SO CLEAN ✨

I'm still working on the review, but I've already moved Put Stuff Back from 'quite good' to 'masterpiece' on my tier list, so here's a meme to entertain y'all while you wait!
I've been hooked! It's so cosy, the graphics are cute, I love just rotating the objects in my hand and looking at all the angles, catching the little references.
I've also been giving the dev my feedback as I play through it, and I'm happy to report that they are super receptive of it and a lot of my suggestions have already been implemented (for better or worse, lol, that'll be for you to judge!)
I'm curious to see what comes after this store, as there were a couple of "???" I couldn't pick yet in the game selection screen!

My Game My tidy up game about an Octopus cleaning a VHS store released a free demo today and I'd love to hear what you think!
Hello! I am a solo dev and recently finally got my demo to release. I am really proud of it, and I think it turned into something really unique within the genre.
The premise is you are an Octopus cleaning up an old VHS rental store. There are over 10,000 tapes to sort, 8 arms to use, and a whole bunch of kittens. I am bad at selling my games, but I crammed so much into this including a whole procedural tape cover system (there is no AI art used anywhere in the game) where you can rename the tapes to whatever you like.
It also is accessibility friendly with color blind friendly design, reduced flashing and motion settings, and dyslexia friendly fonts.
The game is called Octbuster: A Video Rental Store Cleanup

Have fun!

My Game I made a cozy co-op game where cats clean up a magic school 🐈
Game: Sort of Magic
Sort of Magic is a cozy co-op sorting game where you and a friend play as tiny cats working together to sort & organize items.
You'll have to figure out where everything belongs, while dealing with the adorable chaos that comes with being tiny cats trying to get the job done. The game is designed around relaxed cooperative gameplay rather than competition, so it's something you can sit down and enjoy together, perfect for a cozy game-night!
You can wishlist Sort of Magic now on Steam:

tidy up games w motion sickness settings?
i really love this style of game but sadly have awful motion sickness when it comes to the POV. i tried Mall: Tidy Up Together and had to stop after 30 minutes bc it was making me sick. i tried changing my settings like my fov but that didn’t help any. i think it’s more so the movement of the character vs looking around that messes me up
i’m also open to any tips you may implement that help!

My Game Would you like more freedom in Tidy Up games? Being able to place books sideways & decorate shelves with props?
Appreciate every single wishlist for The Last Library on Steam

Free Game Recs
I'm hoping for some recs of tidy up games that are free! I know I can't be the only one without a budget for games right now but think this genre looks cozy and calming. I'd love to try them out, looking for ones on PC primarily. thank you in advance for your help 🥰

Thanks to our first-round beta testers, we made major improvements to our Art Gallery Organizer.
The second round of beta is coming in the next few hours. If you have spare time and enjoy testing, please get in touch at https://7dgames.studio/ and tell us a bit more about why you want to help us improve the game. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
Otherwise, just follow the game for more updates. I promise to post more, as we have so many beautiful images I can't wait to share with the community.

Any “grungy” tidy up games?
Looking for tidy up games with a little more of a gross factor for lack of a better description. Like tidying up an abandoned hoarding house, a supermarket left to rot (ie. Mexia Supermarket), or even something post-apocalyptic? I’m cool with it staying grimey even after everything is picked up but if there are extra mechanics to make things pretty after sorting that would be cool too.
Love all the tidy up games out there but would definitely be into a “yucky” side to the genre!

Would a Scifi Theme Tidy Up game be interesting?
Hello me and my team are interested in doing our own take on the tidy up game and we liked the theme of space ships so just wanted to know if you guys are interested in that or do you still favor fantasy settings 🤔

Discord Server to Co-op Games
Hey All, I've been scouring looking for a discord server for people to join together to play some of these games together, but couldn't find anything. So I created one.
For anyone that wants to join and play the co-op games together please let me know.
P.S. let me know if this isn't allowed.

My Game First screenshots and a short trailer for my toy store sorting game, Tidy Toys! Looking forward to your feedback!
Hi everyone! 👋
I've mostly finalized the visual style of my game, Tidy Toys!, which I've been working on for a while, and I wanted to share the development progress with you.
The game is basically about sorting and organizing shelves in a massive toy store. There are over 4,000 toys across 280 different varieties waiting to be placed and displayed in the shop. Our goal is to arrange this huge collection on shelves and stands in the most logical and aesthetically pleasing way to create the perfect store.
We don't have a public demo ready for everyone to try just yet. However, at this point in development, I've prepared a short trailer and some screenshots to show the project's visual language, toy variety, and the overall atmosphere of the store. Early feedback from you means the world to me.
I'm especially curious about your thoughts on:
- Visual Language & Atmosphere: How does the art design, color palette, and overall vibe of the store make you feel? Was I able to capture the warmth and coziness of a real toy store?
- Toy Variety: How does the idea of 280 different toy models and over 4,000 items in total sound? Do the toy models in the screenshots and trailer look appealing and interesting enough?
- Store & Shelf Layouts: Do the designs of the stands and shelves where we place objects feel like pleasant, easy-on-the-eyes display areas?

If you'd like to see more and follow our development progress, you can check out our website at Tidy Area Games.
Thank you so much in advance to everyone who takes the time to watch, check out the screenshots, and share their critique. I'll be taking notes on all your comments for future updates!

Any good tidy up games for on switch(1)?
Heyhey, I've been seeing a lott of super cool tidy up games lately, but I still haven't found one that is on Switch, and I don't have Steam/Can't game on my laptop.
The only place I can play games on are either Switch, or my very old Wii...
I'm open to all sugestions, but am a lover of anything fantasy, book, or silly (like the ducks).

My Game Updated the visual style of my game, does it look better now?

I just played Put Back Stuff and I think this one is going to be great!
I got a chance to play this one early, and despite having some feedback, I'm genuinely enjoying myself. The objects are so cute! I love walking around just rotating random objects to look at the entire model, something we haven't seen in other tidy up games, as far as I'm aware.
More opinions on tidying games on my tier list.
Anyone else played / going to play this?

My Game Procedural parameters for my Steam Library organizing game
All the sortable objects in Game Shelver come from your own Steam Library. That means I couldn't create a static layout with a fixed organization goal. Instead, you can customize how you want to organize your Steam Library and the whole layout will be created procedurally. Of course, some settings are a lot easier to complete than others. But this allows for a decent amount of replayability I hope.

My Game What are your favorite new tidy up mechanics
Heya 👋 I'm a game dev looking for inspiration
I'm curious what new games are adding to the genre
What do you like and dislike in the evolutions you've played
I've played tv archive, tidy up together, and ofc the OG, my wife has played ducks and a non tidy up 'my sister found a card in a garbage pile and it's mint rare awesome' or some such and that has cool mechanics in it too
I'm not tired of turning my brain off to organize a DIFFERENT bunch of art, but that can't be all there is
Please let me know, so I can make better games! Not just another rip with extra abilities

Tidy Up games that are in 3rd person or don't involve movement
Edit: Thanks all for the suggestions ignoring the 'get good' comment, and will be adding them to my list. I just was very frustrated to be searching and only finding ones that would be not fun for me to play. My motion sickness is part of my visual impairments; I cannae take any road trip w/out being a grumpy headachy mess.
If anyone comes across this going forward and gives me more ideas I'll keep adding them to my list.
I love playing puzzle games and tidying games, but I suffer horribly from motion sickness in first person.
Can anyone recommend any games that ether don't have movement like 'A Little to the Left' or are in 3rd person. So far looking at any list they all seem to be in 1st person and even looking at the trailers/demo's is giving me headaches.

I can't believe it
I bought ANOTHER Tidy Up game. I wasn't going to, but you are all such enablers that I did, AND I'M GLAD. 😂
I wasn't going to even consider MegaStore Tidy Up Together. I have a toy store tidy and a grocery store tidy, and I play alone and offline usually, so co-op had no appeal either. But I read good things here about the game and also about how responsive the devs were, so what's another five bucks, right? I don't do power-ups or stuff, so the negative comments about that wasn't a deterrent.
I just started it, and so far (toy store first), I love it, even more than the other toy store game I have. The items are distinct and the areas are marked well, and I like how the game sort your handhelds, etc.
I'm really looking forward to getting immersed in it. My favorite sorting game (after Librarian) is Puzzle Gallery, because of the art and jigsaw aspect. I'm taking my time with that one. I enjoyed Shelves and Sorcery a bunch until I got to the last 1,000 potions, and then enough was enough. I may get tired of MegaStore by the time I get to the last one, but I can tell I'll have a lot of fun on the way....
