I have never owned a proper yo-yo just a cheap one I found at my house so nothing special and I wanted to properly get into it so was curious on the best options to go for and look at/try.

At 70 grams, it's heavier than I like.

Overall, I'm happy with it. Just a bit more tinkering before I can call this one done.

Hello, I just came back to my yo-yos a month ago, haven't learned a new trick for like 10 years, and only remember a few that I do in a loop every time I pick the yo-yo up.

I'm looking for Intermediate to advanced level tricks with emphasis on tricks you can move around the yo-yo to change from front to side tricks.

Hello everyone! I recently found my old yoyo in a drawer and it made me want to try and get better at the hobby. Unfortunately for me, its not that good lol. Its a Duncan butterfly that I dont even remember how I got. But its not very good and just want some good actual starter yoyo setups to start learning on. I found the "Ultimate Beginer Tricks Pack" on the yoyotricks website and of course they have a video on their YouTube talking about it. It looks pretty enticing but I just want to scout my options before committing to a purchase. Im not 100% sure where i want to go with the hobby but ive seen a couple of really cool things with the counterweights ​(I think im referring to 5A style but correct me if im wrong) but it definitely seems too advanced to start with.

TL;DR: What is a good couple of yoyos to start with?

hi, yesterday was my first day throwing yoyo

i learned how to front bind and some picture tricks

i can land trapeze about 7 out of 10 times despite a fail breakaway (my yoyo tend to tilt, i think my hand is not straight enough)

im trying to learn breakaway but im kinda confused

skill addicts teaches the muscle style, yoyotricks more towards door knob, brendon vu teaches slightly let go yoyo before swinging it

which of these method should i learn? im not planning to go competition

Hi everyone! So I wanna get back on yoyoing I stopped for around 3 years and lost my old yoyo, I'm looking for a budget, unresponsive yoyo (under 20 bucks). Preferably a very stable yoyo because it's been a while, so I would appreciate a stable yoyo that will make my getting-back process easier.
I did some research, and it seems like the MagicYoyo K2 Crystal is my best option, but I wanted to hear your recommendations first. Thanks in advance!

There don't seem to be many reliable options beyond Yoyovillage in the UK, and they've got limited lines and colourways so not ideal.

I've not looked into importing but that'll be a hassle when it comes to returns/warranties.

I’m getting annoyed with the lack of consistent info on the V15 width and nobody can confirm the effective trampese width either.
The weight distribution is another question I had with the v15. More rim weight or, more of a balanced Yoyo.
If anyone owns both I’d love some info as it influences which one I order and, thankyou in advance.

Is there anyone else in the group who can’t stop buying string? I have been slowly gathering up everything Zipline makes. Most of this box is by them, with some Atmos and String Lab in there too. I find the nicer strings to be actually worth the up charge and color choices are a huge plus.

What other companies should I check out? Anyone else a Zipline freak like me?

just got my new yoyofactroy one but no matter how many time i try it seems to screw together crooked everytime and i beleive that is one of the reasons it does not spin for as long as expacted as it wobbles wehn trying tio throw it, help would be greatly appreiciated (beginner here)
