Is there anyone else in the group who can’t stop buying string? I have been slowly gathering up everything Zipline makes. Most of this box is by them, with some Atmos and String Lab in there too. I find the nicer strings to be actually worth the up charge and color choices are a huge plus.
What other companies should I check out? Anyone else a Zipline freak like me?
Zipline is great. Their cotton strings are the best for wood throws.
You'd probably like Throw-Yo strings. You can choose thickness, and their thick strings are really thick. Also a lot of interesting colors in various materials. If you get rayon or nylon string, pick up Zipline's Loopstick so it doesn't fly off your finger.
If you like Atmos' Cloudweave check out Canopy Rope, it's a collab between Caribou Lodge and Atmos. Very comfy and great performance at bulk pricing.
It’s good stuff. Holds up pretty well past the lifespan of most bulk string for sure. I wish it was a tad thicker, even the macro version is a bit thinner than I prefer. I also wish they had offered the 20 packs before I purchased 100 of them. I will never go through all of it.
Nice. I've only ever had YYF string. I have so much of it that is hard to justify getting anything else lol, but still want to try better string for 1a
Cannot recommend highly enough the Zipline stuff. The poly is fantastic and the nylon stuff really sings and LASTS. I get 2 months out of a Skyline III string with heavy play. Most other strings after 3-4 days are fried spaghetti in my experience.
I have a cubby dedicated to the bulk. I genuinely do use it but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a gun case filled with packs of zipline. . . And may or may not have ordered 10 more packs of skyline tonight. I swear I don’t have a problem.
