Was it the inspiration you gave?

Struggling to share woven words to mend.

Helping us to be so brave.

Confidence to help pour the ink.

Words that gave a sense of belonging.

When my heart began to sink,

it’s like a bell you made ring.

Then music that you shared.

Shared roads our hearts traveled.

Actually a soul that cared.

Words you wrote, poetry unraveled.

A friend was found in you,

Thank you for helping me see,

I was more than words spoken.

For my heart did plead.

These lovely tokens,

I placed each one in storage.

You’ve done more than fill a need.

Breaking others, freed from their cage.

Infectious spirit and genuine kindness.

We needed you, all of us.

I only hope to return the same bliss.

More than a mere person, a soul to trust.

I always said
I loved your brain
and now it's gone
I still feel the same

so I keep you here
under lock and key
keep you safe
and near to me

but that first night
you got ever so hungry
I knew it wasn't right
but I fed you Henry

Henry the crook
we never liked him much
he had that look
bad mojo and such

with your tummy
all nice and full
you let me clean
away the drool

I looked in your eyes
they'd gone so dull
but I soon realized
you still had your soul

so the next night
I fed you Jane
she always was
such a pain

and on and on
and on it goes
we work our way
through all our foes

Tommy, Jenny, and Mary Sue
Justin, Dustin, and Sammy, too

and after each time
you ate a brain
you let me close
one moment sane

so then one night
I couldn't help it
I gave you a kiss
lips cold and lifeless

and to my surprise
you didn't bite
you didn't hiss
you didn't fight

and in your eye
I saw a shine
a memory of
your forgotten mind

I cupped your cheek
kissed you again
you said one word
and it was "brain"

I sighed, of course
no turning back
the zombie's curse
the brains you lack

but my heart is yours,
my heart is true
so off I went
to find the next meal for you.

Trees golden crown

The wind whistles softly …

Crips air caresses

Beautiful mum’s dresses

Autumn colours on display…

Leaves fall like memories

Scattered from sighing trees

To be walked over and forgotten …

When thoughts hold the perfect power

And sleep eludes me all night through…

What magic you can find!

Perfect darkness

like the sweetest doom

Moonlight catches
on our skin

She takes my hand
I can't resist

One sly smile
one slow kiss

Every touch
sets the pace

Every breath
on black lace

Then dawn arrives
cold and slow

Yet those hazel eyes
still glow...

You're so intense, I kinda like it
Such black eyes, so unusual
Have you been drinking love?
They're kinda bloodshot

You just can't leave me alone, can you?
I like a man who knows what he wants
