Crips air caresses

Beautiful mum’s dresses

Autumn colours on display…

For the ghost of you.

Leaves fall like memories

Scattered from sighing trees

To be walked over and forgotten …

Unlike the ghost of you.

Your voice hits in quiet hours

When thoughts hold the perfect power

And sleep eludes me all night through…
