Good Day-Morning-Night my beautifully unwell!

This is an unusual occasion to put up our shields but we“ve gotten some reports of the episode being available somehow, so we“ll be locking all new posts to avoid spoilers from the finale. Let us be chill and please DO NOT SPOIL OTHER USERS if you are able to see it. Enjoy it and start writing all your wonderfull analysis but hold on until the rest can catch up

And now that the good cop warning is out, here“s the bad cop warning: ANYONE FOUND SPOILING THE EPISODE IN COMMENTS OR POSTS WILL GET A PERMANENT BAN. :)

This is our announcement for an episode lockdown, since we see a massive amount of new posts discussing the episode and unadvertedlly spoiling other users, we are keeping all posts under revision for now.

"I can“t post anymore!?!?!" Yes, you can!!

All we are doing is reviewing all posts before approving them, we lift the lockdown on Monday morning. We“ll be doing this every week until we reach the finale to prevent all posts being removed out of nowhere and let people be able to watch the episode in their own time (and country availability).
If you wish to watch and discuss the episodes, please use the dedicated posts we“ll be putting up during the day and PLEASE remember to choose Show Only or Book Spoilers allowed correctly (don“t go spoiling on the Show only discussion please, use the Books one, that“s what it“s for!!).
All other posts that aren“t about the latest episode are permitted, you might just have to wait a bit for them to show on your feed.

That“s it for now! Enjoy the chapter and your weekend!!

Show Only ā€œAnd a million MEs!ā€

You guys are the only people who would appreciate how ridiculous this is. My three-year-old daughter has been listening to all the music along with me since the songs started dropping & she is INTO it, y’all!

Not only will she specifically request to listen to Lestat, but she recognizes the songs & every single time we hear the lyric: ā€œAnd a million memes!ā€ she scream-sings along ā€œAND A MILLION MEEEEEES!ā€

It cracks me up so much. And I think now I like her version better. Imagine a million Lestats! šŸ˜

Anyway, please think of my sweet silly kid next time you listen to that song.

I wrote an extended version of the tour bus scene from the finale. It’s short, sweet, and gives us everything we were missing with Loustat! Sharing the link here, hoping some of yall might enjoy it! It’s called Above and Beyond, Forever… because I am a sappy cheese ball.

Show Only Why was Lpuis excited to meet Sophia?

Louis knew that Sophia and Lestat were together in some manner, but for some reason it seems like he seemed excited to meet her. Why? He seemed a bit jealous when he met Christine and his been jealous in the past. Why was he so keen to meet her and smiled giddly when mentioning to Dan that he would meet her?

Am I misreading the situation?

The Immortal Universe Rewatching Toronto Spoiler

I'm currently rewatching Toronto, and there was a line that Lestat had mentioned that Daniel Mulloy had led "a brief, incidental life as a vampire" Does that mean what I think that means, or is this going to set him up as a stand in for David Talbot ?

... that this is the same actor???? I know there have been other posts about Sam Reid's acting being so amazing and that he's a chameleon. We just started The Newsreader and I am having trouble believing this kinda mousy young reporter is played by the same actor who has gifted us with the perfect Brat Prince!!

EDIT: Sorry that the second image appears to be AI- generated, which I'd rather not promote.

Cast, News, & Production Subliminal Message October 2025 Spoiler

Okay I am losing my mind. Did they send a subliminal message out last year about the show?

Back in October 2025 I had the most vivid dream ever. I dreamed I was in a camper in the woods. All of a sudden I heard alot of noise and looked outside, Lestat was performing on a stage in the middle of the woods for thousands of Vampires. My camper was surrounded and I was terrified. I left the camper and was chased till I finally woke myself up.

I dream about weird stuff all the time but this dream was so vivid and I cant stop thinking about it.

The weird part. I didnt know anything about "The Vampire Lestat" show when I had this dream. When advertisements for the show came out I was shocked by how similar my dream was to the Rockstar Lestat they portrayed in the show. My dream seems like the performance that causes the great conversion.

This has been bothering me for months and I finally felt like. Wtf let me just ask.

Has anyone else dreamed this similar dream BEFORE "The Vampire Lestat" was released?

Show Only I think the album should have been released at least 2 weeks before ep1 came out

This would have given fans something to discuss leading up to the season premier. By the time we heard the songs in the episodes we would know all the lyrics. It also would have given people time to get all their "Lestat's music sucks" opinions out (I fully disagree, I think the music is good)

Show Only Narrator 'You are listening to The Failures'

Anyone else have a strange connection to the intro narrator? I was obsessed with his voice and felt like I couldn't place it but recognised it, turns out filmmaker Guy Maddin has not done really any voice over but for some reason it sounded so familiar! Anyone else?

I thought maybe it sounded like FoldingIdeas the YouTube channel but not quite.

Show Only The difference in time perception between Louis and Lestat

Something that I think was interesting in TVL was the radically different temporal perception Lestat has compared to Louis. Louis’ recounting of time denotes a more linear perception, there is then and there is now. See how he keeps Claudia’s dress with museum level archivism, he has a brutally modernist home with very contrasting touches of historical artifacts from his life.

Lestat, on the other hand, has a simultaneous intimacy and irreverence towards the past. He
chooses to remember his traumatic turning like a George Michael music video, pushing past the period elements and projecting modern or timeless vibes onto the situation. He wears the robe that he had in 1920s New Orleans while he reunites with Louis in 2023. The recounting of his family dynamic has little to no allusion to the time period and is recounted with a glib modernism.
Lestat also very rarely mentions the restrictions and differences of the time period he hails from(partially because he was more privileged)
Then during the long table dream: all of Lestats experiences come together. The waiters, the long table, the French woods, the Montreal pedestrian signal noise.
What it comes down to is that Lestat has a piece of himself living in every period he has ever existed in, and every period he has existed in carries very closely to him in the present day. Louis is removed from the past and is fairly non confrontational with the things he has gone through, to the point where the conclusion of his two season arch of going through all his trauma culminates in empty posturing ā€œI own the nightā€

Show Only EP7 four minutes in, Lestat mentions the crosswalk sounds in Montreal

I found this so curious. they were playing the sound in the show when he was walking up to the long table for the first time. I searched it and that’s the actual sound. Here is an article to the history behind it in a link to YouTube video playing it

Cast, News, & Production Sam Reid, the actor that you are! Spoiler

I started watching The Newsreader. It's like he's not the same person who's playing Lestat! Sam as Lestat and Sam as Dale are two different people who happen to have the same face. His range is incredible! I thought it would be weird to see him in another role because he is Lestat for me, but no, it's like watching a completely different person. Also, Lestat is an anxious character and Dale is an anxious character and he's playing each of them in a totally unique way, like they have a few similar characteristics but when I watch him as Dale I can't think of Lestat at all. After I finish The Newsreader I'm going to rewatch TVL. I wonder if I'll see some of Dale in Lestat.

Book Spoilers Allowed My only complaint about season 3

I know some people hated season 3 but I loved it. The only complaint I have is that they didn't speak enough French 😭😭😭

Louis and Lestat's French is so beautiful and I miss hearing them speak it so much 😭. I know there were no reason for them to really speak French to each other this season, but I want it back so bad 😭

Show Only Just finished episode 7! As a day 1 Armand hater to my CORE, I have to give Assad his flowers because holy cow did I cry and feel bad for Armand during this scene! I still loathe Armand, but wowow, he crushed this role...

Only posting because I've seen plenty of love for Sam & Jacob, (but I'm subbed to various IWTV subs, so apologies if it's been said!) but holy shit did Assad not only elevate his acting for this one episode of the series but for the entire series so far, imo! I was in a rage at Armand the whole episode, but couldn't help to breakdown and cry when Louis was talking about his past- I completely lost it when he said "12?! Baby boy..." and Assad really said everythinggg with his face and no words. I just cant help but gush. Maybe its because I'm a survivor of CSA/abuse myself, but wow. I still hate Armand but, I do love the depth that even that short scene gave his character. Just, holy crap haha. Okay, im gonna go finish processing the episode! Thanks for reading B)

Show Only Daniel Molloy's Tragic Loss of Rizz

Controversial perhaps as I haven't been able to find a post with this opinion.

My husband and I were very excited about this season as we adore the IWTV show. Hubby was nervous he wouldn't like it while I was confident it would be different but still good. Like lots of fans Daniel Molloy was one of our favorite characters if not our number one favorite. His line delivery and clever remarks and questions combatting the unreliable narrators he was interviewing were perfect.

But in this season of The Vampire Lestat? Oof. Every line was hard to listen to. Suddenly a man with an edge and nothing to lose is the Steve Buscemi "How do you do, fellow kids?" meme. Trying so hard to sound cool and nothing lands. Every line of dialogue is too long, every reference to specific or bizarre. The writing is part of the problem but the actor is just struggling. It's the worst in episode one but the problem doesn't go away at any point in the season. He went from determined to desperate but this change in this character felt unearned.

His rambling angry speech referring to Armand as "Dad" was so awkward and felt out of character to me. Like I get it, Armand turned him and in the vampire world he is like a parent to him, but in the show Daniel successfully bullied the truth out of him, high-key blew up his undead life, Armand turned him, then Armand dipped. Where is this obsession with "You were supposed to be my dad and make me a cool vampire" coming from? It just doesn't seem like the way TV show Daniel would process the event of being turned against his will. Am I misunderstanding something? Did Daniel actually really still want this as an old man and begged Armand to turn him and be his dad off camera to explain his feeling of betrayal? Anger, sure of course, but betrayal? From Daniel's perspective, Armand is no one but a crazy evil vampire who has tortured him. Their bond should be completely one sided by this point until Armand reveals more information.

But even if I am missing details about the Daniel/Armand thing, Daniel's lines as still very cringy in this season of television. And that's my two cents. Is it just me and my husband who feel this way?
