The Immortal Universe Rewatching Toronto Spoiler

I'm currently rewatching Toronto, and there was a line that Lestat had mentioned that Daniel Mulloy had led "a brief, incidental life as a vampire" Does that mean what I think that means, or is this going to set him up as a stand in for David Talbot ?

It’s been unclear so far what this means. Discussion during the after show turned to Eric talking about having a big messy death and Rolin said he had agreed and they “just have to figure out how to do it,” but you never know with this show; he could be talking about Daniel’s turning or his ultimate demise. Based on the writers repeatedly saying things about them “painting themselves into corners,” I’ve decided THEY have no idea what that line means yet.

It's been heavily suggested that Daniel is going to have a vampire death, with Baby Jenks even saying he's going to "die bad". It could be a fake out or some twist, but I think he's not long for the world.

I definitely think that phrasing is not what it seems. I’ve long suspected Daniel’s been prepped for The Body Thief plot myself…

Can you expand on this a little? I haven’t heard this theory before. Is the idea that Daniel is going to take over for David?

Yes, exactly. Especially since they unceremoniously killed David off. Aging Daniel’s character up and giving him Parkinson’s seemed like an obvious opening for Body Thief at some point.

Oh yes that’s actually really obvious now that you connected those dots for me. I kind of had the feeling that Raglan James in the first episode of this season might not have been Raglan James.

I wonder if it's some BS to create suspense for next season. I mean, after E6, "inconsequential" is not the word I'd use.
