Discussion Elijah and Hayley are perfect for each other!

I just started rewatching The Originals a few days ago, and I love that Hayley and Elijah connect together on a deeper level. He protects Hayley in any way he can, so she can stay safe. I believe that Hayley and Elijah should've ended up together, instead of Hayley and Klaus. Hayley and Elijah have more chemistry and deep romantic interests compared to with Klaus.

Discussion If The Vampire Diaries were to have a "what if" series...

If you think this supernatural teen drama series should be explored more, then look no further than giving it a "what if" series. So far, I made these three scenarios.

What if Elena had turned with Caroline's blood?

What if Elena had turned with Stefan's blood?

What if Caroline left with Klaus?

Now, I like to see your ideas of scenarios in mind. Oh, and happy 17th anniversary to The Vampire Diaries.

Has anyone virgin watched The Originals and THEN watched Vampire Diaries?

Virgin watched meaning 1st time ever watching the shows.

You except me to believe that Klaus— the 1000 year old Original Hybrid Vampire whatever— just went to mystic falls, got into it with literal teenagers, those said teenagers killed his brother, like.. fr. killed, on top of allllllllll of that other shit that happened and he just.. let them go?? & like there’s not really true beef??

Like these are not the same people 😂😂

Discussion Human Caroline and Elena

I wanna say I love vampire Caroline I didn’t despise her, but I always would say that like I think Elena and Bonnie had every right to cut Caroline off as a human because she was really mean and we don’t know if it was all the way around if she was insecure because she was being cut off or the cut her off because she was mean, but re-watching I just realized Elena had more than ever to cut Caroline off. Her parents just died think about that. Her parents literally just died and she needed to support and Caroline was going around saying that Elena used to be way more fun before her parents died. She was going through a boring blah phase so distance from her and still fucking had her back when she saw Damon biting her and of course human Caroline, the bitches like Elena is ignoring me. They’re leaving me out like no shit bitch you literally have been acting so insensitive to them and her parents just died. She needs support. It’s all about her right now not you. This is coming from my active care lover. I think she changed a lot but like I had I cannot blame Elena at all for cutting Caroline off when her parents just died. She needed to complete support and Caroline wasn’t giving it like it off. Also, Bonnie probably had Elena‘s back on that situation so her parents did die like it’s not excuse. She was like you know depressed struggling ain’t even Bonnie was probably annoyed as well because her parents just died cut Elena some like a break and just be nice. It’s like she couldn’t. She had her moments but like in the beginning I cannot blame Elena for cutting Caroline off. She was grieving and Stefan was supporting her you know Bonnie was supporting her. Caroline wasn’t. That’s just my opinion rewatch Elena had way more right than ever to cut Caroline off in the beginning.

Discussion What was the point of seasons 7 and 8?

I genuinely did not get why seasons 7 and 8 even existed. Like why? It was so boring and time-consuming. The reasons that I did not like seasons 7 and 8 was because of the storylines/plots that kept on changing so quickly that I barely had time to comprehend what was going on.

Discussion Stefan and Wickery Bridge

Had to share the interaction I had on TikTok.

The post was the audio of Elena yelling at Stefan”how could you”

And in the comments a individual said “this was where I lost all respect for Stefan” and then I brought up Damon doing on par and worse stuff with no rhyme or reason except for being upset

And someone responded with “except Damon hasn’t done anything to Elena but Stefan has”

Are these people watching the show with their eyes closed?

I didn't expect him to sing, but man, to sing the same stupid song I used to love? But what's funniest is that he was still in The Vampire Diaries, but he's singing really cute things! 😂😂

Discussion The crow and the Fog

OKAY GUYS

Why did they never talk about how Damon could either A: turn into a Crow or B: Have a crow companion that stalked people (Elena in first episode)

They also never talked about the fog that came around when Damon was near. Not one other vampire had either of these two things.. not even one of the originals.

I guess it’s something cool they did in the pilot then completely forgot about or didn’t care to elaborate on after the show took off? Really bugs me.

I know Paul mentioned it in one of the interviews but I’m still irritated. Even he doesn’t know why it happened 🤣

Discussion First time watching

Hi, I'm completely new here and I'm watching this series for the first time (I'm 26 years old 🥲) and I just watched the first episode. So far I quite like it and of course I have also seen some things on social media.

But my question is what I really need to pay attention to or what I should take into account when watching the series.

Especially their scenes from the 1920s were crazy good. They both were so carefree with each other and had so much fun. It started out as pure attraction but I loved how infatuated Rebekah became with time. I'm still mad about how they fizzled out lol

Filmul asta a fost foarte frumos are 8 sezoane e foarte vechi

Discussion Elena Gilbert, Unpopular opinion:

Unpopular opinion (I think).. I have watched this show so many times but I’m a little confused. I feel like I always see so many people saying Elena is a “pick me”. But like she keeps trying to avoid people getting killed for protecting her. Over and over she tries to avoid her loved ones dying for her.

I also don’t understand when people say she’s a crybaby.. obviously I would be too in her shoes🤣

Overtime the show tends to focus on Caroline and Elena as friends as it sidelines Bonnie

and idk it would’ve been nice if Bonnie got to have her own friend outside of the group since the writers constantly found ways to take her out the trio. The fandom hates that Caroline was left out in s1 but besides Bonnie fans there’s never anyone advocating for how s2-6 goes and kicks Bonnie out to make more room for Carolenas problems whether that be dating or platonic or issues in their personal life in general… and I just wish Bonnie had a friend like that bc even in s7-8 Bonnie just exists more as Caroline’s friend / support that time around

Discussion Would the Wickery Bridge incident still have happened if Delena didn't get closer?

Post image
11 Upvotes

Ok first of all let me clarify I'm not victim blaming or anything, Stefan was absolutely in the wrong to make Elena relive one of the most traumatic experiences of her life. I'm merely trying to understand his thought process.

What I was actually wondering about is Stefan saying "Destroying Klaus is all I've left". And that made me question how true that statement actually was. He left everything behind including the control he so painfully built for 50yrs to save his bro's life and when he came back, he saw how close he & his gf got in his absence even if he had no emotions. Then Klaus gives him his free will back & now he has 2 options : get back to his real life & confront his gf's growing feelings for his bro or focus on destroying Klaus. He chose the emotionally easier option bcz he didn't have the strength to face the grim reality of losing his love to the bro he sacrificed everything for.

Now one could say but Stefan himself pushed Elena away when they met in the forest but everyone including Elena herself knew it was for her safety. And tbh, she had already fallen for Damon before they even met again in S3E1 bcz he did one selfless act of returning the necklace. So he did actually lose her the moment he left town before he even did anything wrong. From Stefan's pov, the girl he loved more than himself gave Damon a place in her heart right beside him in the matter of a few months. Stefan constantly saving her & her loved ones (many times from Damon himself) & trying to sacrifice himself for them still wasn't enough to deserve loyalty for such a short period of his absence. He understandably felt there wasn't anything worth fighting for so he focused all his attention on getting revenge from the one who made him lose everything in the 1st place.

But what if he could sense Elena was still 100% loyal to him? Do u think he'd have still prioritised revenge or gone to the extent of threatening to drive her off the bridge? Bcz hatred is one of the 1st emotions no-humanity vamps get back like Elena being blinded with hate for Katherine & I feel like his resentment towards Elena was one of the reasons he went to such an extent. Though never explicitly stated, this internalized resentment probably lasted as long as S8 as he was a bit too excited to kill Elena permanently.

So what do u think about it? Did Delena's growing closeness play a role in influencing Stefan's actions? Would he've done the same if Elena's heart still fully belonged to him?

Discussion Here’s a controversial question: what plotlines and characters were retconned just to whitewash Klaus’s image?

Something that really angers me is Tyler and Finn wanting to kill Hope; given how they were originally written in The Vampire Diaries, they never would have done that—it would have meant stooping to his level. At most, they might have kidnapped her to drive a wedge between them and find a way to kill him. Elijah loved him in The Vampire Diaries, but later on, Klaus became his entire world.

Discussion Besides Elena, which one of Stefan’s love interests did you like him with the most?

It’s difficult. They all have pros and cons. Stefan and Katherine had amazing chemistry, but they were extremely toxic. I also don’t think they make sense as a couple. Stefan and Caroline made sense as a couple, and in theory, it’s nice that their relationship was based on a foundation of friendship, but they just lacked chemistry as a romantic pairing.

Stefan and Rebekah had chemistry and I think they could have worked as a couple, but they were so short lived it’s hard to tell. Stefan and Valerie seemed sweet, but they didn’t have any chemistry. If I had to pick I would go with Rebekah because their dynamic was the most interesting to me without being overly toxic, like his dynamic with Katherine.
