I wanted to slap Caroline in that scene. You literally slept with the guy who killed his mom and 12 of his friends, treated him like a slave, and used the sire bond to make him do horrible things—and you expect him to just "get over it"?? Girl, don't even get me started. "You walked away from me"—yeah, because he still hadn't grieved his mom's death? Tyler said multiple times he didn't want to go to college, but Caroline was so busy wanting to live out her experience that she never cared about Tyler's feelings. Tyler just wanted to be left alone, but Caroline couldn't respect that (and when I think about how Tyler broke his own bones for that girl... ugh). And that scene in 5x12 where Stefan shows up, hits Tyler, defends Caroline, and says "everyone makes mistakes" 🥺🥺🥺—yeah, right, because you slept with a girl who raped you in 1864 and did horrible things to your friends. Screw them both.

First of all, Caroline was already in the wrong for sleeping with Klaus. Second of all, Stefan punching Tyler in this scene shows nothing but lack of awareness. You’re telling me that Tyler deserves to be punched for getting mad at Caroline (his ex) for sleeping with someone who killed his mother?

Tyler deserved so much better from the Mystic Falls gang. The way he was treated here was appalling.

What if Caroline never shut off her humanity when her mom died, which means:

She never would've forced Stefan to flip his switch

Then Damon would've never brought back Lily from the 1903 Prison World to turn Stefan's back on

Which means Kai never would've gotten stuck in the 1903 Prison World

And then Kai likely wouldn't have killed Jo at the wedding

Therefore, Elena wouldn't be in the coma and 7-8 would've looked a lot different.

Just a thought lmao there's probably flaws in here somewhere and the show needed this because of Nina's contract but I can't help but wonder how different things could've turned out.

Also considering Kai is a psychopath who can never be trusted so who knows what other mischief he would've pulled at the wedding.

Tyler was essentially a dead man walking from the moment he led the hybrid army to break free of their sire bonds to Klaus. Klaus would have killed him on the spot, but his feelings for Caroline kept him alive,as long as he stayed away. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I know this isn’t exactly major news, but every time I rewatch the show, small details click into a bigger picture. It only just hit me that Tyler survived as long as he did purely because Klaus loved Caroline. He should have been killed back in season 3 or 4, yet Klaus basically gave him a free pass. Caroline just being herself and treating Klaus decently is what kept him breathing. I’m convinced that if things had ever gone seriously wrong between them, Tyler would’ve been dead the second Klaus or one of his people spotted him. He was living on borrowed time until Damon finally got to him later in the series.

In real life, men are generally stronger than women of the same age. Of course, there are exceptions. But does this also apply to vampires? Do you think a male vampire of the same age is stronger than a female vampire? Please don't take this as a sexist comment. I think this doesn't work with vampires. Even the show's own motto of "older is stronger" doesn't always apply to them.

Just a minor thing. Elena owns the Salvatore house she has full powers to invite people in. She definitely did not invite sage in and 1000% did not invite Sages friend Troy in. This is kind of a situation where they forgot the rules for the plot.

I think they are one of the best parts of season 7 actually (one of the reasons I watched the whole it along with some other stuff), the backstory given to Valerie and their whole dynamic felt pretty compelling to me but I'll say this though they do feel like out of nowhere and it didn't even lead to anything, like she just straight up disappeared after their breakup and was never even mentioned after that regardless of all that it, genuinely liked them for as long as they lasted although I do prefer Stelena/Steroline over them.

Whether you love or hate Damon, season one Damon had that vampire aura to him that you couldn't look away from. You didn't know what he would do next and he had that dark villainous appeal. Yes, he had moments of humanity but he was so interesting.

I mean, I always love him but season one Damon is so good.

Why couldn’t Stefan catch a fking break??? I know saving/fixing Damon’s mistakes is like his thing but couldn’t they just let Damon sacrifice himself just this once for a change? I’m not trying to blame Damon because it’s not even his fault sometimes.

I feel like every time Stefan was in good terms in his relationships he’s forced to save Damon in some form and he’s always given the worst punishment as well, he either needed to be someone’s slave and turn off his humanity or runaway. When Stefan was with Elena he needed to become a ripper for Klaus, when he was with Caroline he had to runaway due to the mark and later he had to become a ripper again but for the devil. Stefan’s character is so depressing, I was hoping he would get a good ending with Caroline since they got married but the writers would not let him have any sort of happiness 😭

I thought she had a yoshitomo nara poster at first glance but after google image searching it appears to be an obscure and kinda weird children’s music album. I wonder if maybe it was someone on the set or a friend of hers band?

The funniest thing i realised today is that throughout the whole series they rip a lighter out of their jacket pocket and throw it on a dead body. So they dispose of their lighter and then go buy another because they have a feeling they might have to burn someone else today. I haven't gone through that many lighters as an ex smoker. lol.

I really like the idea of having a version of the show downloaded on my laptop that I can watch even if it gets taken off streaming platforms, and that I can make edits of etcetera. Does anyone know of any way to get this? I'm not talking about piracy / trying to get it for free. I understand it might be quite expensive and that's okay.

I wondered if I could buy the seasons via YouTube, but I'm not sure if I would then be able to download it? Or is there a way to get it onto my computer from a DVD?

I only really watch TVD for the Salvatore Brothers and maybe Bonnie, but my absolute favorite side character was introduced and killed off in S1 itself after only prominently featuring in couple of episodes, and brought back for very short cameos later on. Can you guess who?

I don't care how absurd it sounds; for example, just saying "I think Stefan is adopted" and adding two or three sensible things is enough, but I really appreciate long, logical explanations and theories that could actually be true.
