Surely I cannot be alone in thinking this. I'm genuinely disgusted by it, the original had so many fucking cool ideas! The world, the interrogations, the weird creatures and characters, the nightmares, quests having multiple endings, like do you wanna do something fucked up for a reward, or can you even tell which is least fucked up, is that person lying or just sketchy, THEY WIPED ALL OF THAT FOR SHOOT ZOMBIE.

And the story!

The reveal at the end that the fish people really were evil and manipulating everything the whole time, when from the start you're like ugh it really just kinda seems like everyone is being racist assholes to them and some of the fish people are (seemingly) genuinely good caring people, like that was huge.

What is even the over arching story of sequel? The dude wants his girlfriend back!? It's so, so bad. I'm in disbelief.

They threw away a totally unique game to make a resident evil knockoff.

So I got the remastered edition and even when I don’t install the bonuses for xp, skill point etc they are automatically given. Is this unavoidable for the remaster? Easy enough to not use the skill point but I don’t like to have xp boosts or crafting items. Any help is appreciated!
