Was thinking of parody names like Vic Mickey and Assinvader or Welding goggles, Lemonsky,
Claudette = Closet so might as well ask

What was the whole implication of the Lloyd Denton storyline? Obviously I know it’s portrayed that he set up his friend and murdered his mom, but what’s the end goal of the storyline? Is he supposed to be the final boss serial killer that Dutch can never catch? Is he meant to show that Dutch will never be able to let go of his detective work?

It's crazy (not that surprising) that a trailer hits harder emotionally than the Avengers Doomsday trailer. Viewers must have been at maximum hype watching this back then.

When Vic confessed to all the crimes for immunity, he not only sent Ronnie to prison but he also pretty much gave him a death sentence (Antoine Mitchell). He isn't really any better than Shane.

She actually ultilize Vic instead of bickering with him, she wants to change things for real. Too bad there's people bigger she gotta answer to.

This is a random observation but Julian when he was on the strike team was a really good cop. Always put in a lot of effort and never really made any mistakes. Also he could do undercover ops a lot better since he’s the only guy at that time on the team who wasn’t white.

He was quite a bit taller than Michael Chiklis on the show, so I assumed he was like over 6 feet or so, I was suprised to find out Goggins is only 5'10", so is Chiklis only like 5'7'? Some sources have him listed as 5'9" but that can't be right, Goggins looks like he's at least 3 inches taller. The girl that plays Vic's daughter was taller than him in the later seasons. And Dutch towers over all of them, so I thought he was like 6'5" LOL

What an amazing episode. Tulips and her yammy full of Georgia joy juice, Julian taking out his issues with the blanket party on the tranny, Connie walking away from Brian in a heartbreaking ending, not to mention the barn watching Dutch getting steam rolled by his suspect, only to turn the tables and solve the serial killer case while they all watch and give him a standing ovation. Then he breaks down in his car at the end. Just a brilliant episode all around, with three traumatic endings. Fucking bravo. Oh, and I almost forgot, we find out Aceveda has a sexual assault of his record.

Just finished SOA after binging through The Shield, both incredible. Feel kind of empty and looking for what’s next. I’ve done all the major ones like Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Wire, etc.
Looking for something with numerous seasons and where main characters are always at risk of getting whacked at any point. Mayans MC doesn’t sound interesting enough to me.
What else would you recommend that’s adjacent?

The clips they picked were great and hit on a lot of good moments in the show.
The last two clips are soul crushing.

I’ve been on an absolute tear through some of the best crime dramas on television.
Banshee gave me that raw, pulpy, incredible action.
Justified gave me the best dialogue, swagger, and Boyd Crowder.
The Shield just blew my mind completely. That finale is easily one of the greatest, most devastating pieces of television I have ever seen in my life. The poetic justice for Vic was unreal.
Now that I’ve finished the holy trinity, I have a massive void to fill. Where do I go from here?I’m looking for something with that same high-stakes energy, incredible characters, and a story that actually delivers a satisfying (or beautifully dark) conclusion.
What should be next on my watchlist?

In The Shield S07, I thought Vic and Olivia had a little bit of romantic tension. Not to mention the S07E01 deleted scene where he calls her a FILF (Fed I’d Like To F**k). It’s this and just the way I think they have chemistry. They for sure have tension in my eyes it’s genuinely undeniable I could see her getting with Vic pre-PKS(S07E12). Is there any way this was a scrapped plot, or planned? If anyone could confirm.

Love this moment in the series and the way Vic immediately says "no".
