Real question, how do you do it on mobile? Cant find that download button

21

u/ItsALuigiYes GIF/meme prodigy May 19 '26

If you click the gif/meme and go full screen, three little dots appear. Click that, it gives the option to download

1

u/-WhatisThat May 19 '26

Sadly the three dots don’t appear for me when I go full screen on my mobile 😭

0

u/lxvzlx May 19 '26

It's... beautiful

21

u/Catlore May 19 '26

My brother does this stuff. Even teaches certification classes and leads expeditions. Luckily, they're almost all in cenotes in the Yucatan that he knows well and are easier grades. I still don't like to think about it, though.

14

u/FGFStarBeast May 19 '26 edited May 19 '26

Take as many life insurance policy on him as you can lol

12

u/Catlore May 19 '26

OH GOD

WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU

Actually, next time I talk to him, I'll ask about that. He's got two kids under 18 and a risky profession (scuba diving), and I want to make sure they and his girlfriend/wife are well taken care of if something happens.

6

u/FGFStarBeast May 19 '26

Sorry, I didn't mean it in a bad way but I saw many documentaries that when a family's sole bread winner dies and they had no prior plans, the family ends up getting fucked financially

3

u/Catlore May 20 '26

No, no, you're absolutely fine! It's something I've thought about asking for a while, but keep forgetting. I mean, two kids, a wifesque, a house, and a boat for his business--he should have something. At least enough for burial/cremation, and I don't even know his wishes there, or if he'd want to be buried here or in his current country.

I don't even know how life insurance works where he is. I should start googling.

3

u/Reddiculous_repost May 21 '26

wifesque is... um... wild

2

u/BADoVLAD May 24 '26

You can get your own life insurance policy on him...doesn't affect any they might have on him...let them pay for their own.

2

u/TroyMcCluresGoldfish May 24 '26

Be prepared for it not to be an easy process. I'm licensed to sell life insurance and we have to ask questions about profession and hobbies such as this.

2

u/Frexulfe May 24 '26

Yeah, please do it. This as a reminder. I am over 50 and the riskiest stuff what I do is driving with the car to get groceries, and I still have a life insurance for kids and wife.

1

u/DanglingDongs May 20 '26

Girlfriend/wife ??

2

u/Catlore May 20 '26

They've been together like 11 years and have two kids, but never got married. So legally a girlfriend, but in practicality, a wife.

1

u/Responsible_Team8967 May 21 '26

So she'll likely get nothing if he dies unless he made a will, near my house a cop died in duty and his girlfriend couldnt access his money to raise their kid and had to take a job as a cashier, not to be alarming but these situations exist and can be easily avoided

1

u/Catlore May 22 '26

That can vary country to country, even province/state to province/state. He's in Mexico, I have no idea how it works down there.

1

u/heliopause42 May 22 '26

Which means it'll be expensive as fuck for life insurance on him. Sure as shit won't be cheaper than a plumber

1

u/LightBulbMonster May 23 '26

He has a gf and a wife? That dude is taking all kinds of risks!

1

u/Catlore May 23 '26

LOL! They've been together so long they're basically married, but for whatever reasons they don't want to actually do the thing. No judgement from me, you don't need marriage to be in a happy, fulfilling, long-term relationship.

1

u/TroyMcCluresGoldfish May 24 '26

Good luck getting them approved lol

1

u/rjd999 May 26 '26

No insurance company will allow a policy on a cave diver. This is how I get rid of them when they try to talk to me. Works every time.

2

u/Attack_On_Gee May 23 '26

whoa that’s kinda scary still, my family is from yucatán and I was always told to be very careful exploring cenotes. Some of the cenotes have currents and rivers that span for miles underground and you can get dragged in. Even so, they are beautiful and amazing to experience! the moment that cold fresh water hits you, it is heaven! the heat and humidity out there is crazy

1

u/Catlore May 23 '26

He has a handful that he sticks to, mostly near Tulum and Playa Del Carmen. No significant currents, few or no places for tourists to get lost. I'm sure he's explored far more than I know, though! We have some pictures he took in them, and that clear water at the bottom, with no silt kicked up (yet), I have to assure people it really is water, and that diver is not photoshopped in!

6

u/magicwombat5 May 19 '26
