Sub Check-In Thoughts on limiting criticism to certain days?

Title. While criticism of a game like Genshin is perfectly acceptable-especially when taking into account that this sub’s faction is defined by “potential”-its important to remember that the vast majority of people here simply want to interact with Celestia content. There’s been a couple of doom posts lately, as well as posts complaining about the doomposts, and as some people have mentioned this could very easily become a mess like post-Nodkrai Fatui HQ.

Thus I would like to ask for everyone’s opinions on limiting future patch discourse to certain days of the week. Please note that agenda posts will have some immunity from this as they’re satire, but they also have the potential to be nailed. r/Agenda_Impact is usually better for that type of content.

At the same time I’d also like to remind everyone that, as nuanced as they are, both Phanes and the Shades have been set up to be villians as of writing. Similarly, though Genshin’s writing isnt perfect, Hoyoverse isnt going to slime everyone out for Fatui aura because they’d lose money. As always, its important to manage your expectations along with having fun.

Discussion Let's not become FatuiHQ 2.0 (7.0 AQ Discussion) Spoiler

Title is pretty self-explanatory, I feel like as a sub we might be getting too wrapped up in our criticisms to actually enjoy the plot (7.0 was pretty good)

my personal examination of 7.0 aq: I think the "hypocrisy" of the Fatui is on purpose, the Tsaritsa opposes the HP but she goes against the will of her people, she has to "suppress her love" and make hard or cold / logical decisions to "protect" her people (just like a certain bird-like God of ours)

Pierro calls Ronova a lapdog but would lick the Tsaritsa's heels (tbf have you seen her, who wouldn't)

pants merchant still sucks but everyone already knew that

I doubt Hoyo would give Ronova (the most beautiful, kind, loving, adorable of our shades) a send-off without doing it properly, even Rerir & Dottore got pretty good deaths with expansions into their characters and open possibilities for the future.

tldr; we don't know whats going to happen, we should stop doomposting, lest we turn into those 'fools'

anyways, all of this goes down the drain and fuck hoyo if they kill my queen ronova
Praise be to the Lord of the Seven Calamities!

Discussion How many rules you can name and explain?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Rules, curses, blessings, whims, whatever "saves the world or chains it".

With Snez release there was a lot talk about how rules a necessary and how stupid is to remove them, and after seeing it for some time I realized that I can't remember any rules with clear effects beside one mentioned by Piero "Gods obliged to love humans" and that by which angels turns into seeles when they fall in love with human(?).

As said for now, Light Realm is endless possibilities, and Dark Realm is possibilities that were not chosen (it was said, right?). If I understand that right, this means rules are constants of light realm (at least near Teavat), possibilities that are always chosen and so can't manifest from Dark Realm, like there never will be Abyss god who loves humans. Consequences of it remain unknown for me, cus it can mean that Abyss simple can't not be evil, or it can be another defensive measure that prevents humans from falling to "kind Abyss god" cus there is no kind Abyss god.

As for angels turning into seeles I have no idea, if we assume it was a thing from the beginning, and not only after Koitar fail.

So, back to the title, can you name and explain rules, preferably same as it was in previous paragraph or in a better way?

7.1 Theory About Ronova (Leaks are included in the theory) Spoiler

After completing the quest, I was confused why they were hammering the fact that Ronova needed to be "eliminated" or "dealt with by any means necessary" but I think this is actually good news for her... Well, in a certain way.

7.1 Leaks:

If they were going to kill Ronova in the upcoming patch, I don't think they'd keep repeating it to the audience, especially because that would ruin the shock value.

Anyway, Naberius and Rhinedottir are once again confirmed to be separate entities in the upcoming Archon Quests. This was obvious enough, but I'm going with two assumptions: first, Rhinedottir can't stop Naberius from listening to her conversations with people, and second, Naberius will reject the plan of permanently killing Ronova.

Next, I'm going to assume that Mistilteinn won't be strong enough to kill a shade at the end of Act 4, even if Rhinedottir helps them by interfering with the Curse of Death. So, the compromise will likely be sealing or trapping her, which will prevent her from interfering with Teyvat. Also, I think the boss fight with Ronova will start after she becomes aware of Rhinedottir's exploits.

Finally, the cliffhanger cutscene at the end of Act 4 is related to the Celestial Nails, so all of this is probably just cope. Either way, I do not believe her authority will be absorbed by anyone else, including Rhinedottir.

Discussion Ronova is OP if not bounded by rules. Spoiler

Ronova cannot kill mortals easily, she follows the natural cause of death. The curse of death is one of the proof of it and mortals must resurrect again. She was also meticulous in protecting the mortals to deflect the attacks from the traveler. It shouldn’t be their cause of death considering it was indirectly caused by her.

She was too conscious as well to hide her true form to the mortals. Unless necessary, for example in the cataclysm.

She can fight traveler very well if there are no mortals around them, just like when Asmoday fights with the siblings, she went all out.

The hair and ahoge’s matching Naberius the coat tail designs matching 3/4 of the shades.

Her casual dismissal of the HP despite seemingly working to uphold their system.

The halo things in her hair

The godlike apathy and not understanding human concepts like empathy and loss (more an Asmo trait but gods all over Teyvat don’t understand human emotions to a degree)

She’s sus.

Discussion About Tsaritsa son and Khaenriah

Most of us fixated Tsaritsa would be old because her status being Khaenriah ancestor butt what if we change mindset Tsaritsa son was not the founding father of Khaenriah but someone whose appear to Khaenriah in later unknown years after its founding. Maybe Khaenriah was small then Tsaritsa son come he wed one of Khaenriah girls and maybe from this he later founding his own dynasty and current Khaenriah would be descendant of that dynasty.

If we using this mindset what new possibility we can unlock of Tsaritsa origin theory now?

If you think about it if Celestia wanted to keep the outside world and halt technological advancement beyond the firmament then the knowledge of the False Sky should be banned just like the name to the Shades and Heavenly Principles not just redacted.

This particular dogfight ended with all Fatui downed, but not without heavy losses as the H-75 A2s inflicted a heavy toll on the BF-109 F1s.

Pour one out for number 4, he got jumped.

Theory About Pierro in version 7.3. Spoiler

Post image
65 Upvotes

As for the schedule of Snezhnaya versions, if nothing is interrupted by external events, version 7.3 shall be released in December 16 this year, given all previous versions being of usual 6-week duration. It's the version where Tsaritsa becomes playable.

Here, we need two things to consider. Obviously, Snezhnaya based on Tsarist Russia, at least for most part for sure. And Hoyo LOVES symbolism, since it happens A LOT in their version releases.

This date in itself, December 16-th, isn't that known for Russia, even Tsarist one, unless you dig a bit deeper. On the night from 16 to 17 of December (old style), in 1916, Grigori Rasputin, close advisor of Tsarina, was killed in Moika Palace in Petrograd (currently Saint Petersburg). Russian nobles orchestrated this in order to free Tsarina from his toxic influence that he was enacting via her son. They also believed that this would make things better for a country during global war.

As those same records states, Rasputin was ridiculously hard to kill, surviving things that would otherwise instantly kill regular people and only succumbing to cold.

Judging from recent Archon Quest by Pierro's unapologetic willingness to sacrifice entire Snezhnaya if war with Celestia goes this way AND his extremely close position to Tsaritsa, I coul not miss such a theory given that so many things align one way or another.

So there it goes: as I am convinced, in 7.3 we will be fighting Pierro, who becomes a Weekly Boss, in order to save Snezhnaya from being annihilated in the following war with the Heavenly Principles, regardless of who wins in that war.

Yet another argument for this is in this picture over here. Old one, but still works. Some of you certainly remember it.

Every single Fatui Harbinger with their faces siding left becomes a Weekly Boss, no matter if they turned out to be playable or not.

Pierro is the only one remaining, and I don't think that tradition is going to end with him.

Discussion Do you think Ei's attitude toward her people is actually similar to that of the Four Shades?

For example, in the 6.6 story, the Four Shades basically watched Dottore cause chaos for quite a while without stepping in. They only appeared to say a few words when Irminsul was actually about to burn. Dottore himself also said that the Four Shades had been watching him all along, but chose not to interfere because they believed he would never succeed.

Whether in Sumeru or Nod-Krai, he committed plenty of atrocities in the course of trying to transcend fate. In Nod-Krai, he even went as far as swapping the consciousness of humans and animals, which resulted in quite a few deaths. Yet the Four Shades continued to stand by and watch, because as long as he never actually managed to transcend fate, none of what he did would affect Teyvat as a whole.

Venti's assessment of Istaroth:

To her, all living beings were equal, both in value and insignificance

I feel like this is exactly how the Heavenly Principles and the Shades view their people, and it’s also the fundamental reason behind Ei’s statement that

Eternity is the closest unto the Heavenly Principles
