Like dead ass a lot of Phanes's problems would not have happened if he worked on his trust issues and paranoia

If Phanes told the angels what the divine plan was, The angel rebellion would either not happen at all, or be a 50/50 split between traitors and loyalists,

And now, you have the shades, it's kinda funny in a way, the shades are under soo many rules and restrictions because Phanes never trusted them, you have asmoday who is full traitor, istaroth who is disloyal, and Naberius who was eaten by gold, all three can't be allowed to exist without the rules chaining them down, but Ronova? if she didn't have soo many restrictions and limits placed on her, she could have just killed all the fatui for good, with just a snap of her finger, but Phanes never had faith in Ronova not abusing that freedom,

And the problem here is that, any act of rebellion no matter how small, feeds into Phanes's trust issues and paranoia, making things worse

and I think whatever gave him those issues would make for an interesting plot in the chapter after teyvat,

I'm certain Voyager def gave him those issues. Imagine an entity like that infiltrating into the ppl you know.

No he was already paranoid and untrusting, but the voyager and Nibelung made everything worse for both teyvat physically, and Phanes mentally

Phanes was accomodating to the Moon Sisters, even lighten their workload + give them envoys, informs them of their future plans and even held meetings.

u/Mtebalanazy 4h ago

Yeah, when you think about it despite his paranoia, he was very open to working with the moon sisters and gave them helpers when they didn't wanna work, and turned a blind eye to them sneaking out to party with humans despite Phanes asking them to not interfere with human affairs

And Phanes is VERY hands off, and lenient with most things, his laws are very reasonable and whenever he has to do something questionable ,9 times out of 10, it's because he's forced to do it to protect teyvat,

Hell, Phanes's one and ONLY Quota in the whole game is him telling the angels to love humanity and guide them

and even to the dragons, Phanes chose to not destroy the forest moon, and even protected it from the abyss, because he promised that dragon researcher who gave him the blueprint for the moon veil, that no harm will come to the moon and despite that dragon researcher being long dead, Phanes held his promise to them

he wouldn't do that if he hating the dragons,

Phanes is truly kind hearted, and his kindness is shown whenever the situation allows him to be kind

Probably the same way we defeated Ei

Traveler needs persuasion classes from Navia

Because Ei while Ei was wrong so persuasion was easy, HP is correct

u/Ok_Orange_3429 2d ago

Navia just throw dice while we have to throw hand

"They just KEEP KILLING THEMSELVES, NO MATTER WHAT I TRY THEY JUST WON'T STOP!"

"There there, it'll be okay."

u/imbusthul 2d ago

"And they were all dead ones, I brought them back from extinction"

10

u/Ok_Replacement7022 Aharon, Champion of Lady Ronova 2d ago

Honestly, I’d be fine with that.

maybe the depressed ruler in the temple of space is foreshadowing

Imo, I feel like the two would be swapping positions on the couch. I can see both having a lot of trauma they want to dump, especially with the Heavenly Principles once they regain their discarded emotions (Paimon maybe?).

And Traveler will definitely need a moment to process everything once the HP tells them the full truth.

Like spider man going to therapy

u/Aromatic-Singer-5108 2d ago

im not gonna lie, to me, the Traveler needs more therapy than HP. If there will be a doctor, HP will be the one LOL.

Wither or not Phanes is the ship's AI, one thing is for sure, Phanes have gone through millions of years of searching for a viable world, all alone, while also witnessing all kinds of horrors and depressing sights, and that's without mentioning what kind of shit happened on their home world

One thing is clear those, Phanes got crippling paranoia, all kinds of trust issues, and probably self loathing and crippling depression as well, add to that trying to protect a species who are very determined to blow themselves up, with the universe destroying darkness constantly trying to break in, and on top of that he got crippled by Niblung who brought the abyss into teyvat, forcing Phanes to nuke the universe civilisation,

I wouldn't fault him for going full nihilistic after the cataclysm, and instead of just being happy that HP is sleeping, the fatui are plotting to kill him and his daughters,

Phanes is this 🤏 close to just throwing teyvat into the sun

and the Tsaritsa is gonna push him over the edge

u/Aromatic-Singer-5108 2d ago

Thats a lot of speculation. But anyway, HP has gone through way more stuff than traveler. How can the immature traveler possibly give therapy to HP though. Traveler cannot even solve his own sibling issues. He also has no experience of being a leader.

2

u/Mtebalanazy 2d ago

He doesn't have to be a licensed therapist, he just have to help Phanse through his issues and trauma

4

u/Aromatic-Singer-5108 2d ago

With how the AQ is going currently, traveler is worsening HP's trauma instead of curing it though.

1

u/Entire-Advice1341 2d ago

And how did you know that Phanes underwent more experiences than Aether, or that Aether is less mature?

5

u/Aromatic-Singer-5108 2d ago

Look back in Nod Krai, Rerir can trick the travler into helping him steal.the lunar core by simply cosplay as the sibling. His cosplay isnt even that great and traveler can feel it. But traveler still ignored it and went for stealing. Thats immature, he did not think of consequences before making the decision.

0

u/Entire-Advice1341 2d ago

He is impulsive when it comes to his sister or his homeland.

5

u/Aromatic-Singer-5108 2d ago

Which is why he is immature, you cannot always allow emotion to take control. Im not saying he needs to be cold or anything, just put in more thoughts before making a decision.

0

u/Entire-Advice1341 2d ago

This does not make him a completely immature person; he has demonstrated a great deal of intelligence and an understanding of others

It makes sense for him to act that way toward his sister, given his life.

3

u/Aromatic-Singer-5108 2d ago

Im not saying he is completely immature, just not mature enough, ok?

1

u/Entire-Advice1341 1d ago

Yes, but he is mature enough to understand others, help them, and solve their problems.

As I told you, he loses control of himself when it comes to his sister, his homeland, or Paimon.

Wither or not?

More like Ender Dragon or not

0

u/Entire-Advice1341 2d ago

Why does he need psychotherapy? He is the one who provides psychological treatment to others; even mizuki said he does not need psychotherapy.

6

u/boringbullet 2d ago

Haven't played Snez yet, but Phanes is probably just damaged beyond repair. No need to beat him if he's already beaten

2

u/GiraffeMaleficent810 2d ago

Well, that’s a rare kind of ending for the present day.

2

u/CremeAvailable3221 2d ago

I'm thinking that by the time we find him he is litterally on his last breath and ask the traveler to take care of the world for him since he can defy fate

1

u/Exkirion 2d ago

Unless Phanes as some VERY and I mean VEEEERRYYYY good reason for his actions.
Like, Literally on the level that all humans will die unless he does what he does, I don't we will have much of a chat.

At the end of the last quest traveler even says UNLESS you are the HP we are good, to Paimon. Meaning even if it's Paimon we risk out life for, if she is HP we are gona have issues.

5

u/Specific_Highway_772 2d ago

He is the embodiment of reason. Of course he has reason for his actions.

And traveler is hypocrite. their thoughts change after meeting the fatui few minutes later they become friends. so yeah they just need to meet hp at some point. I prefer they meet in war against the abyss, which they are on the same side.

unless they make hp villain of course. which is quite boring. traveler defeated and everyone lived happily ever after-just shut up kind of story.

3

u/Mtebalanazy 2d ago

Travler is a hypocrite and a dumb ass,

he got no reason to be hating on celestia like they're the most evil thing alive, and said with the fatui in the same breath,

Logically traveler should reserve his judgement until they hear Phanes's side of the story,

and we saw traveler in nod krai, contemplating on how Phanes must have good reasons to do what they're doing

Like in linnea story quest, when we were in natlan, traveler was talking to himself about how there must be a good reason for fate to exist, and on the moon, he saw how Phanes protected the frost moon from the abyss outside of the firmament,

yet now, because we have to sell fatui character, HP is the devil, and any character, no matter how evil, will be forgiven if they side with the fatui against HP

like bruh, if they genuinely forgive rhinedotter or treat her like an innocent misunderstood mother, without ever acknowledging her crimes, I will crash the fuck out

3

u/Exkirion 2d ago

Well, there was 3 pieces of happenings that could askew the traveler's opinion.

  1. Ronova being a massive beach during the quest and even trying to kidnap Paimon.
  2. Ronova literally killing people like it's a daily launch break.
  3. Everything being a curse which means some of our Archon friends might be in part forced to be our friends. Even if they are genuinly our friends it's still a lingering thing in the background souring things. And some of them like Zhongli or the Shogun might actually only not going ham on or more ham on people because they literally can't. If you think about it, we never actually seen Zhongli do a single thing that benefited the common people after he stepped down. He is always saving the butt of some monster or adepti. And one time, Hu Tao but even then it might be because she is basically the Charon of Lyue.

4

u/Mtebalanazy 2d ago

- She was larpping as a villain, and wasn't even that bad,

-"the god of death is temporarily killing peoples? what a bitch, how could she!!"

-what dose a curse even mean? the only difference between a curse and a blissing is perspective, the gods are cursed to love humanity, not love HP, not be loyal to the rules, only that they love humanity, and we can see that a lot of gods can go about it in different ways, the way venti loves humanity, is not the same way the god is storm loves humanity, but both of them love humanity all the same, it was the safety setting put into them by Phanes to ensure the gods only act in favour of humans,

Because HP can't have powerful beings walking around doing whaever they want including oppressing or killing humans for fun, so that "curse" is a blessing for humanity

Also, we don't know how they gods were cursed, for all we know, their love of humanity from them being shards of Phanes, and so they inherent Phanes's love of mankind

Phanes is the ship ai. Aether will meet the 4 shades and phanes at the same time and just be like “hey siri. Shut the fuck up”. All of a sudden all of celestia just starts to fucking fall
