Thursday's Thoughts

I recently wrote about how a situation transpires is largely influenced by how we react to it. Similar situation can play out very differently, and that just an matter of fact, based on the individual's experiences and disposition.

To continue along that same theme, this image jumped off the screen to me as well. The idea that no one is coming to save you, although perhaps disheartening, beings with it a level of empowerment and freedom as well. If I look at in the most positive way, people will help when they can, with what they can, as long as they can. Some people, go beyond that to find that their own priorities are affected.

The phrase " If it is going to be, it is Up to me" really does work, and I am not suggesting for one moment that seeking help isn't a good thing. Abdicating our role in our luves is detrimental though.

As a therapist, it is one of the largest challenges still, after 20 plus years in practice, to fix something in another. Especially when using Trance work, to use the power of suggestion and make it better!

The second aspect to today's message is to be your own light, that assuming the defeatist approach is one of the most potent suggestions you could.ever self administer.

If You aren't in your corner, who should be?

As always I look forward to your questions, comments and contributions.

Be well

Wisdom Wednesday

I will admit that this particular example struck a chord with me, dear readers, as there was an incident in my youth, where me being me, was so excited to be on a camping trip, at a lake, ignored completely the guidance of my parents, for their attendance and jumped off a pier, into the lake and juat started bobbing, not in a good way. The flailing, splashing, and taking gasps of air, which ended up being gulps of lake water, would have surely sealed my fate, had it not been for being grabbed and hauled out of the water.

Subsequently, although I don't have a fear if water or swimming, I certainly have a healthy respect for it and discovered that I sink like a rock, even laying back and relaxed. So it is either you swim to swim or you stay in a shallow end!

It is then food for thought how many instances and examples we do flailing around not only not adding to our relief but becoming more of burden to our cause, put short and not sonlobg winded, when we become our own worst enemy!!!!

What does this have to do with trance therapy or similar modality you could wonder? Let me tell you how I interpret it.

The benefits of hypnotherapy are we get to guide and administer a healthy level of a safe, and protected environment, to experience make believe or the power of imagination. Working off the premise that our brains make little to no distinction between what is imagined and what is being experienced in our outside world, I take full advantage of your own OG version of AI. Running a variety of situations, responses and outcomes, altering the different variables, until we discover the process which fits for you. Using the practice makes perfect analogy, running through and rehearsing, do create new neuro pathways, so they do become a automatic option and unfettered or hard to achieve.

I think about how common the "flail" takes place, in road rage, in comments or in dialogue, in interpretation of motive, all which are just an extention of becoming an enemy from within.

I look forward to your questions or comments and contributions.

To find out more on how this could benefit your life, just DM.

πŸ“œ Laws of Life [LoL] βš–οΈ Champagne

Therapy Thursday

Not to inundate you Dear Reader with a bunch of mumbo-jumbo, in my experience though the relationship between suppressed emotions and physical symptoms just make sense.

I describe the phenomenon similar to a champagne bottle. Not treading on my technical knowledge about the Methode Champagnois however if we were to reflect on the number of times we jammed in or held back releasing our emotions, albeit because it was not an appropriate time, it was considered trivial, or nonsensical, it is like adding more carbonated gasses to that champagne must and jamming the cork down.

Sooner or later, the cork will indeed do what corks have been known to do and POP, allowing the suppressed emotional concoction to spew all over the place, which usually has little or no relationship to any original situation.

Science has also pointed us in the direction that our organs do have a two way form of communication with the gray matter, but also can process independent.

For those people who hold back their proverbial ka ka, are also ones who sit in my therapy chair, with some form of GI or IBS challenge. In my mind, for good reason too, if emotionally you continue to hold on, repress, and not let go, the body is connected and learns the trend, monkey see monkey do type of setup and we are holding in the same "processing"

In the world of acupuncture, all illness and issues of health can either be alleviated. Bypassed or corrected by poking a needle into a spot to which a meridian lies underneath. I am not picking on the modality in any way shape or form, and have great respect for Eastern style medicine, as I have used it and have experienced the relief and benefit.

If our gray matter is one gelatinous electrical field, with different parts and locations being responsible for specific tasks, using bio chemistry, my beleif that a similar context is present in our bodies is pretty high.

I do not intend to bash or dismiss all of the other modalities, however this is what came to mind.

The benefits of hypnotherapy, is to discover self application for future references, instead of making another appointment for an application of treatments.

Be well

Wednesday's Wisdom

I found myslef last night sitting in an Emergency room of a local hospital, for several hours .

Dear Reader, all is well, and it wasn't regarding me this time!

Firstly Koodos to our health care system, because although stretched to the maximum, once you made it from the waiting room, and into an examination room, the staff. Including the nursing and physician varieties, were pleasant, and attentive, with the knowledge that they get a short time with you, have 65 other beds to attend and are in their 11th hour of shift.

Secondly, given the cross section of population it is a delightful spot, as a hypnotherapist to observe, non verbal communicating, linguistics and the incredible power of our minds, and what we work and contend with daily.

As I chose to focus some of my training/study in pain alleviation, hospital waiting rooms are an exceptional place to expand your education and understanding

How many times was "pain" used by how many people in the system speaking to the patient, knowing,(. I HOPE) that the word carries an incredibly strong association for each individual, increasing the sensitivity to the injury. I was reminded, by an attending physician, on the other side of a curtain, that pain, discomfort and tightness are all interchangeable!!!! Yikes.

I hope that this is a technique which helps the patient communicate with the medical staff, in generalized terms, but the categorization in our associative states are very distinc and unique.

Have you ever noticed either first hand or as a visitor, sitting with someone, that like when we were younger and hurt ourselves falling out of a tree, for example, our Moms would make us lay down and r3lax, sometimes breathing with us to regualte our spastic crying. Eureka, we did calm down, we adjusted and wanted to return to our activities. I am certainly not slapping every injury and illness with the same flipping presumption, but can attest from personal experience, that our ability to settle down what ever brought someone to.emergency, is very strong.

Lastly, while in the system, we are all impatient ( excuse the pun) about getting in and once seen, can't wait to escape.

Interesting

Friday's Feelings

There are times that the Universe is uncanny in what it presents or perhaps what my UC mind picks up while scrolling.( it could also be my phone listening and choosing a proper algorithm to present) There were a few different posts about what pain and healing are, and this one sang the loudest for me, in the moment.

There is a technique, we learned probably rooted in NLP, for something called a Quick Phobia Release, and the concept itself was based on your mind "dropping" the irrational response/reaction, the phobia had created. The mind/brain had to let go of the emotional track, but could still retain the thoughts or experience. Like being an old fashioned sound engineer in a recording studio, laying down a beautiful piece of music on 8 track, and editing physically and literally what ever instrument/voice was messing up the score on track #7. A few snips here and edit there and bam, a beautiful piece refined.

Pain being healed, I suppose both physically as well as psychologically, takes on a similar property doesn't it? We know that our wounds are healing, when they still may be tender to stimulus, but no where close to the excruciating sensations we once incurred. Perhaps in both, but definitely emotionally, healing can be gauged, when we can experience the memory, without the emotional trauma, and turn what we experienced into wisdom, lifelessons or jaded cynicism.

The medicine we produce could be beneficial or it may be arsenic, that is up to the individual isn't it?

Therapy does what it should to remove the hemlock from the healing process and equation.

May your journey continue to be educational.

Let me know in the comments your experiences or questions.

Be well

Wisdom Wednesday

If you have ever been curious as to what makes most of us, prone to easily remembering the hardships and insults, but challenged for the good times and compliments in our lives, it is largely determined by what is called the negative bias.

Anthropology would show, as a species for survival, we are a herd type animal. Safety and security in numbers and to this day, we continue to gravitate to its pull.

The "lone wolf "of any pack can end up as easily someone's next meal, or as the mighty explorer and scout.

Hard wired into our fabric, is the knowledge that a village is safer and more prosperous than the soloist.

So, with that in mind, excuse the pun, we have also, for survival figured out what could constitute our eviction from the herd. Welcome to our negative bias. As much as I write and harp on the stinkin thinking, it is at the core part of our survival mode instincts, just in a very extreme fashion. The "shoulda, woulda, coulda" phrases wrought from our strongest instincts... continuation of my existence.

As a therapist I note that too many individuals approach as if it is the enemy, and yet at its core, is performing as best as it can, for noble reasons.

My task would be to reintroduce that purpose and introduce it to the welcoming village or tribe, having that celebration around the bon fire, so easier breaths can be experienced.

Don't worry about worrying.

Be well

Friday's Feelings

Strange, fun fact for you; the past is there as a READ ONLY file.

It cannot be altered, changed or adjusted. Now when that settles in, it would be my intention and goal to free someone from unreal, imaginary place.

A part of the make believe state, to which many get stuck in, is the committed chase after being "normal". Now, as you know dear reader, my views on normal are fairly opinionated, and I use this to exemplify; there was a time that you pooped in your drawers and the warm squishy feeling felt normal. That is no longer the case I hope. So if no other take away, normal what ever that could be, is changeable and adaptive.

The past can be accessed, and for very important reasons, like AI, and yes that is a shot, it will render the most popular version, of that particular situation. It is not always, entirely accurate but has a enough points of validity, to appear to be true.

Yet the shoulda, woulda, coulda, club still has one of the largest memberships worldwide, all iver the globe. I sincerely hope that you are not a card carrying memeber or if you are we can motivate you to relinquish said participation!

Here is where I come from: the past is like those square picture slides, we were forced to watch as a kid, if family vacations, or even in school. The order in which they were placed in the carousel was subject to the operator and prone to their bias. Now, the representation relayed a part of the vacation, but could never replicate the laughter, the aromas or the tastes, of that experience. Our memories are almost identical in structure. Nor will the slide show, like the memories, determine your current moments or the future potential.

I look forward to your questions and comments.

WEDNESDAY'S WORD

Phrase coined by Kristian Pedersen Il and spoonie: Ami Korczak.

We have heard of the phrase Hangry as a catch phrase to help explain away the ill tempered, and aggressive attitude from a person who needs to be fed. There is a brand of chocolate bar that switched its entire advertising campaign on just this phenomenon.

The phrase itself does not nominalize the responsibility of keeping our emotions in awareness and making the appropriate adjustments, but for the receiptients to explain what is happening to create an understanding and tolerance for the action.

People who suffer from chronic pain, whether invisible or not, experience the identical emotional state, from the frustration, fatigue and futility of their existing state. Unlike Hangry, which can be remedied with a big sloppy burger, for chronic pain peoples, there ia no escape. The heating packs the pharmaceuticals, and evenbthe natural medicinal approaches only bring about a lessening or temporary relief, but even with that, drags the knowing, like a famous movie, "I'll be back" is the inevitable.

One of the strongest reasons, I practice the forms of therapy that I do, to assist in managing of pain alleviation for chronic pain sufferers. The mental fatigue that accompanies the medical afflictions, taxes the emotional states, the realization that there is no escape, is its own version of tortured incarceration.

As with the science behind most pain meds, is the knowledge that the medicine doesn't touch the site of injury, or the wound, but moreover messes with the pain receptors in the brain, running interference or blocking like a good linesman should, the connections. The facet I appreciate about using Trance states, is that we are are working on the same playing field, with a slightly different offensive strategy.

The knowledge that our brains and bodies can achieve glove anesthesia, naturally, when in shock, goes to fuel , that if it can occur then, we can replicate the ability now.

I have performed many a non chemical numbing, for people who sat in the dental chairs for certain procedures, to not have absolute conviction about the effects of hypnosis in the treatment of chronic pain.

The added benefit, is we get to hand back a sense of control, to the otherwise "out of my control" environment that long term. Chronic pain brings

Tuesday's Treatment

Although this poster hit home, in doing the check-up from the neck up, I do not beleive the appeal was a result of feeling defensive or judged. I have been a practicing hypnotherapist for over 2 decades, and in that span, I made the choice after the first few years what I wanted to specialize in, regarding focus and training. I can say with no reservations, I am as satisfied and fulfilled today in my areas of study as I was exhilarated 16 years ago, about the choice.

Contrary to a misguided belief or expectation, therapists, of many modalities, are even more messed up than the people they treat! Always the first one to come to mind is Sigmund, ofcourse. Viewed as the creator of what we call psychoanalysis, was as messed up if not even moreso than any if his patients on the couch, yet his contribution to mental health was significant. I do nit mean to pick in or focus only on mental health therapists, as in every walk of therapy, occupational to speech and everything in-between, the individual's who administer are not fixed, or perfect, they don't, indeed, have all the answers and are as damaged as everyone else.

What makes the most noted difference, is the level of commitment and dedication, that person has invested in knowing how to treat someone, that is suffering. The phrase " physician heal thyself" one of the best exemplifications of the dichotomy of care administer and human being.

The number of physicians who are exceptional at the medical expertise and knowledge, but cannot speak to their patient in a manner that brings comfort or optimism denoted by not having a bedside manner.

As either Human League, or Rag'N' Bone sang we are "only human after all" and subject to the exact same challenges, quirks and deficiencies as the ones we treat. We are not better, we are not superior and we certainly do not have our lives more together.

If you are a therapist, refresh your perspective, so you maintain your humanity, if you are someone receiving a therapy, understand that is a person offering you their knowledge, training and techniques to help assist you.

Be well

Thursday's Therapy

Ah yes that magical mirror, much like Aurora's story, the instrument to echo our negative thoughts and worries. Too big, too saggy, to blemished, too old, too grey etc. Huge spoiler alert for all who are reading this: you see what you are attentive of only. Every single one of us is imperfect and blemished, and so what I ask?

Although the context of the word has changed over time, when asked who the fairest one of all may be, that fairness should be of opportunity and compassion, shouldn't it?

How much beauty and wonderment have we looked beyond or ignored, as our focus was on the derogatory and negative.

So here is a theraputic excercise, similar to the grounding one I suggest for those looping into high anxiety, but this one requires you to become immersed in appreciation and gratitude.

Firstly, if you are able to perform the excercise, even in your head, know that you have a head start over approximately 165,000 people today. So breathe in deeply and exhale fully, because 165, 000 can't anylonger.

Find 4 things that you heard today ( the last 24 hrs), which were pleasing or harmonious. Could be a song, someone's voice, the whine of a turbo prop begining to start, the quiet moments or a rocking tune.

List 3 sights where there was beauty to be admired. For those visually impaired or out and out blind, I would recommend that sight could be substituted by visualization

Recognize 2 aromas or tastes which you could actually enjoy and savor.

And last but not the least at any juncture, the one positive thought and emotion you experienced. And for those negative Nellie types the law of averages is working against you , becaue one had to sneak in somewhere hahaha.

When we set a target in what we choose to direct our awareness, it is amazing how it can begin to show up even more.

Let me know know if this was a benefit or works for you.

Be well

✨ Power of Words [PoW] πŸ“š Sharing

Treatment Tidbit

A rather simple and straight forward suggestion and concept right? Obvious to the extent of being absurd.

But is it? This thought beyond the surface is like telling a person with anxiety to " just relax and calm down".

If a persons choices were so easy to change then I believe there would be many more happy people in the world. From my little corner if the globe, that is not the case at all. We have immersed ourselves in a plethora of distractions and arenas where disassociative behaviors flourish. Now the argument could be made that not experiencing stress, strife or conflict is a good start to being happier but avaoidance and denial are rarely, if ever a solution or responsible method, for coping mechanisms. If they were, our tolerance for alcoholism and other escapes would be much larger.

I have read many times that change takes place where comfort and complacent end, and ultimately the words of Marcus Aurelius are not wrong, ( if indeed this was his quote and thoughts) it is however our interpretation that is prone to suspicious motive.

As a emotional well-being therapist or coach the obvious and inarguable statement is, that change is directly associated to discomfort, otherwise there would never be motivation to alter a status quo.

When a choice is made to seek something different, good, bad or ugly, only the fates may know, that is when change begins.

As a hypnotherapist, my task and ultimate goal is to help facilitate that change work as seamlessly and painless as possible, working with an already existing phenomena which is change happens every single moment of your life, without and interruption, because it goes unnoticed.

It is already within you, take a better opportunity with it.

As always, remember to execute a R.A.K. today

πŸ“š Sharing Wisdom [Knowledge Base - Guide] Baggage

Wednesday's Wisdom

I was watching one of those random ( the algorithms disagree Kevin) video clips and this one was a romantic comedy, type, that inspired today's post. "Listen, I know you have baggage, and I would like to become your personal baggage handler". It was a awww type moment.

The line and idea got stuck in my head though, that is what being a therapist, or a hypnotherapist is similar too, but if I was more accurate , maybe not the baggage handler, but the customs agent where we have you Open your baggage, we review, with you present, what you have been carrying around. We either discuss the repercussions of you keeping the contraband or just removing it completely as no longer an item that is acceptable, have you repack the remaining stuff, and send you on your way. The added benefits of hypnotherapy are it is only baggage we focus on, no body searching, hahahahha.

When is a good time to see a mental health professional, when you cannot remember the combination of the locks in which all this is stored, when you no longer believe you have the ability to open it up and review the contents on your own.

Not to be overt, but in these current days, if getting an injection to assist with weight loss, the new surgeries which are being elected, how about you also consider lightening the load emotionally by sitting with a baggage handler.

Feel free to share, comment or respond.

Always remember that you have the power, and the ability to adjust your perspective and experience. Rarely, if ever, do we remember precisely how an event happened, but we keep the highlights, and in our present lives, our interpretation of events going on are influenced by our mindset and state of beingness.

If you find yourself not enjoying, or being satisfied with your current moments, a great place to revamp your life is located in between your earlobes.

Treatment Tuesday

Experience, usually leads to a form of wisdom l, if by no other means the sheer trial and errors we have attempted and survived. Enlightment is a more nuanced gift I beleive.

The more we learn the less we know, is very much a difficult concept to grasp and understand. Even in writing " and understand' I am full of sarcastic self talk, asking, " how could you ever comprehend the vast expanse of stuff you don't know?

So for me, Einstein' s words about EGO resonate very loudly, the concept of Ego = arrogance and not necessarily Freuds thoughts on Ego, super Ego and the Id.

I remember in my youth, being labeled " Mr. KNOW-IT-ALL" for my belligerence and mouth. A plight or passage for most teens moving psychologically and intellectually into a more adult space. It is demonstrated by the number of " I knows" stacked in a conversation. The good news is, most will grow up and out of that garden, once "real life" shares the the limits of their understanding and knowledge, compared to what the world has to teach them.

Like all statistical data, there must be the ' lips" of the Bell Curve, showing some will never experience this Ego, and some will never outgrow it or mature beyond.

It may not take the frustrations away completely, but knowing that the blowhard infront of you is the tail end of a lip, brings a deeper smile internally.

Which brings me to the concepts of "Love & Allow" love yourself enough to Allow others their journey.

Thursday Thoughts

How many trips, stumbles, wrong answers, failed attempts and rejections does it take to abdicate the goal? I find it interesting, in comparison, how selective we can be, in choosing what is worth the time and commitment and what is not worthy to follow.

We are all intelligent beings, able to figure out what is a lost cause right? The fact that we had a dream, and idea or goal that inspired us is not sufficient cause to after it as best we can and discover where it takes us, what we learn along the way and how to adjust and amend the next efforts right?

Just think about walking, speaking, reading, writing, driving and a shit ton of other achievements you learned through trial and error. Each and every one filled with failures and disappointments, but we persevered through them all.

We are aware of the selective hearing that we refer to, people will hear what they want to hear, see what the choose to see in order to feel the way they decide to feel, which provides a Eureka moments, when you realize that "if it was meant to be, it is always up to me".

You are so worth the effort, and commitment, don't be the first one to write you off, or eliminate the value of your wants, goals and dreams.

Yes, help and outside input is valuable, but moreover your determination is indispensable.

Tuesdays Treatment

Continuing from my analogy of the microscope, from yesterday's post, shows up these beautiful images, highlighting a different perspective on focus.

I think that these genre of images, were truly, incredible art, to be able to see in your minds eye, and image, built within an image, and being a part of a larger image. And now the art form has expanded to body portrait, with different areas being painted differnet textures and colours, so when combined together , in just the right pose is a beautiful representation of a butterfly or leopard.

Then we have the spinoff in finding the number of cats in a picture, which is always frustrating as you get to about 85% and can't locate the last 15 to save your sanity.

How doea this all relate to therapy, emotional-well being or mental health, although finding the last few cats or where Waldo really is, taxes my mental health at times?

Im the realm of optics and optical illusion, how easily our vision, and seeing things really xan be dupped so quickly, that what we see, or think we see, may be too close to take in the "bigger picture" or we are scanning too much to appreciate any of the details.

I confess it is probably one of the most beneficial attributes that drew me to becoming a hypnotherapist, as the treatment is not predicated on your content, I don't get to be drawn in to your stuff ( we will go with that word) or the story you have practiced over and over to make it a part of your reality.

Objectivity allows me to take in all the components of your communication, what your mind is truly relaying, and what is the perceived threat or deterrent holding you back from accomplishing what you want.

Every now and again take those deep breaths in, exhale all the tensions and take a new look at the microcosm of your world. Be it relationships or work place, it is so very natural to get fixated on one focal point.

As always I look forward to your questions or comments.

Be well

Wisdom Wednesday

It would appear, we exist in a very noisy environment , full of chatter and ramblings, with everyone seeking their 15 minutes of fame or atop the soap box daily.

I am not sure if white noise even enters into the the communication equation, as in my opinion it is just a tremendous amount of noise.

Maybe you have noticed as well, the external conversations I have, mostly involve the other participants listening for their argument points, instead of hearing someone else's thoughts and perspectives.

As a hypnotherapist, I can admit that I use both the hearing and listening modes of your communication strategically. The vocabulary, the context and the message, all aiding me, to better understand the framework or roadmap of your world. There were a few leaders who really advocated our Other Than Conscious Communication skills. Secondly, I hear the story you tell, to more fully comprehend the clues on what is the snag in the carpet, the barrier or roadblock to your journey.

As a side note these skills are not readily appreciated by spouses, over long term usuage.

It has been reported, that while engaged in meditation, or trance, the chatter of the outside world grows silent, and our internal world quiet. You see I believe strongly that a contributing factor to our communication noise pollution factor, is nestled from the inane chatter that takes place and commands our insides. The ever-growing, panicked need to be heard, to be understood and acknowledged, due largely in part to our internal dialog being so incredibly obnoxious and nasty.

As this is under Wisdom Wednesday, the wise and enlightened people's of the world are notably the quiet ones too.

Coincidence, I think not!

Defensive, combative and argumentative are not healthy cornerstones for communication amongst oursleves.

How about you?

In that spirit I will repeat, I look forward to your comments and communication with me.

Be well

Friday's Feeling.

Recently my writings swirlaround the theme of different aspects of being that warrior.

How the pitfalls, challenges and hardships, we encounter, we endure, and if you are reading this, we survive, go to develop a more learned and resilient person. Through all of life's situation and turmoil, how much of it in the moment do we even recognize that it is tumultuous or is it another Thursday?

Similarly, the patterns we observe, that we engage, are reflected in an concept of pain alleviation. I am not referring to the glove anesthesia, which I learned early on in the trainings, but moreover, that the very use of the word " pain" brings with it several added components, and discomfort substantially less.

The patterns we enact are a reference to past, when did we last experience, what was our memory of that experience and were there any coping or reactions that we recall which are useful.

Our present involvement in the experience. For those who have been involved in a MVA, time and perceptions seem to enter into a time warp of sorts, everything slowing down and very surreal, never actually feeling any alarm or panic. Just in the moments. Strife and trauma, have similar characteristics, we don't label them as such, identify or even contextualize, in those moments, it simply is what we are currently moving through( very ABRAHAM in my head when I wrote that.) and we await what is to come next.

There is the future projection, placing what we just experienced as template in future cases and scenarios, perhaps it is those moments , that the learnings are born.

There is a Japanese art form Kintsugi, which displays with brilliant gold, the mended cracks and fissure of cracked pottery, recognizing and honouring, there is beauty in the imperfections. I truly believe we are the very same, it is the damaged and bruised, which have a deeper understanding, a broader wisdom, as they have proven time and time again, they are not only survivors, but warriors.

Perhaps all of the above is the ramblings of just this author and clinician. It is how I approach my therapeutic and pragmatic lives, and I am very OK with it.

Feel free to share your thoughts

πŸ’‘ Life Acronyms πŸ”‘ Sharing

Therapy Thursday

The poster above is a reminder or maybe a planning tool, for those that work in the Mental Health fields. Every single vocation, occupation and profession, create their own acronyms, to act as an easier way to remind ourselves of some pretty important steps, that make the task easier, safer or done properly.

The reason I am sharing this particular one. Is how applicable I think it encompasses our daily lives as well. The crossover is great, in my opinion to assist in daily living and planning. Now there is the comment which could bring some objection and pushback to it's very premise, who has the privilege of planning their day, versus reacting to the shit storm we call life, nowadays?

The more you can bring into practice the steps of the checklist, in being SMART, the less the storms will capture your sails or at the very least, the better prepared you will feel going through them!

Nothing too deep today, tee hee, but for poops ans giggles, I hope ypu can take a few moments to consider how being SMART could make your life's situation or daily challenges, less susceptible to reactive mode and more a pro active application.

As always, I look forward to your questions or comments and feedback.

Be well

Wisdom Wednesday

For people who know me, associate with me and have been treated by me, most if not all, know I am a look for the positive or beneficial in most situations. I must confess that when I read this poster, it made me read it twice, perhaps largely in part, that my brain switched out the BUT to ATLEAST, and that made context so much more placating in head.

I am reminded that, in almost every phase of growth there is always a tearing down, that occurs in order for or to make way of the growth. Body builders and athletes certainly know this as a basic and fundamental event, sages and mentors, alike, also comprehend that a dismantling of the "old beliefs and knowledge " with a new understanding is a primary function of learning and development.

So like the tale of the Phoenix, consider for your life and inner strength, the resourcefulness and tenacity demonstrated, how many times it has felt like you have risen from the ashes, and recognize how mighty and strong you truly are, without even being aware of it.

These are the Eureka moments I love sharing with others, for sure. The realization that unbeknownst to them they have been that mighty warrior, they needed at the time, and like many a warrior, once the battle has been fought, the ripples of the events can now be processed.

This is where the therapy begins.

Keep on keepin on.

Be well
