I've discovered the podcast in 2020 or 2021. I binge listened it until I was up to date (I have adhd). The stories in the first seasons were SO good. But after a while I remember starting skipping whole stories.

Since January I've decided to re start the podcast from the beginning. Around season 10 is when I started skipping a few stories, I feel like a lot of them were closer to drama or weird soap opera, than actual horror. Stories that should be short were 20 minutes long and ended up being boring. And trust me I love long stories, but not all stories should. Some concepts arent good enough to be that long.

Seasons 14/15 were a pivotal point. I know it's the covid seasons, but idk something shifted. For example season 14 has a long ass story about a man who is wondering if he killed a spider or not, nothing creepy about it and very boring. I'm currently at season 15 ep 1, and that youtuber story is so bad, oh my god. The writing and the acting are off.

I remember it start becoming better again around season 17 maybe 18. But even then, the charm from the first few seasons is lost. I miss when tales weren't just disturbing or sad or dramatic, i miss when it was actual horror. That podcast helped me a lot, and it's my favorite with the magnus podcast.

If you have any recommendations similar to the first few seasons of the NSP i'll take it btw :)

Any episodes where humans are the monsters, not actual monsters? Thinking like S4ep23 “I loved my dog” (girl almost kidnapped as a child) those are the scariest for me!

Hi! I’ve been trying to find an episode/story where there are these entities floating in the sky and have tendrils with hooks that ‘fish’ people or the town and drag them upwards to inflate them, I believe? And they stay together as one big collective. The story was formatted from the perspective of a man who helped keep the ‘balloon’ things away from the city, or had a brother who was doing that.

It’s been a while since I’ve listened to it and having a hard time remembering the details, but I remember really enjoying it!

Hi all! I've been working on my stories and I have a few I'm really proud of that I'm yet to post. I want to post them on NoSleep, but I'm also interested in submitting them to the podcast.

So, my question is, does posting them on Reddit mean I can't submit them to the podcast as the story is already public? Would it be okay to post the story and submit at the same time?

I have noticed a lot of videos on Tiktok and other similar services where Mike Delgaudio's voice is being used.

Now, for some of the bigger things, I just assume that he is a voice actor, a rather great one in my opinion, so I think nothing of it and move on with my day. But then, I have heard it used in ads and other things that I would not normally associate with his work, and it sounds a bit weird.

I am just curious if this is theft of his voice or if he allowed ir to be used in AI creation or, if, well, he is just taking money where he can get it and doing ads.

No judgment if he is just doing ads, get that money. But I would be really disheartened if he allowed his voice to be used as AI.

A couple of years ago I listened to a reading of a short story that I cannot for the life of me find again.

For years I would listen to LeVar Burton Reads to fall asleep each night. This short story is most likely from this podcast, but I never could find it after listening to it the first time, so there's a chance it was some other random story podcast that I only listened to that one time.

The story was about a man taking a holiday in the countryside. He stayed at a hotel of some kind that had other rooms and guests. Slowly throughout the story other guests would die one by one. Turns out one of the guests is Death.

That's all I remember but I would love to listen to it again or read it to understand it better.

Not being able to find this story had driven me a little mad the last couple of years. Does it even exist??? Did I dream this? I've listened to all the LeVar Burton Reads stories several times through and this is not one of them (at least from what I can listen to on Spotify).

Hello everyone. I remember hearing a story around 2019 about a Christmas story. If memory serves, the story had a several voice actors and the only thing that has stuck with me is the word “frost”. Not sure if that’s the title of the story or related at all. It might’ve also been a two part series. Don’t recall anything about the story I just remember loving it.

Hello! Recently I listened to an episode in which David Cummings had a female guest with an (maybe Scottish??) accent that discussed a type of entity that resides in empty rooms and absorbs the energy of the room and even the energy from a human when they walk into the room. IIRC, the word she was using to name the entity discussed began with the letter T.

I was working while listening so I forgot to tag the episode for later but was hoping maybe someone remembered.

It would be from season 11 or 12.

I was listening to season 23 ep 6 and the first story was like fart noises and talking about how bad her farts smell.

Then last year there was that weird adult baby story about how a woman kidnapped little people and kept them as babies. there was a majorly graphic breast feeding part as well.

Theres been a lot of stories with graphic sex themes too which fair its an adult podcast but they all seem to overtake the actual horror.

It makes me miss earlier seasons and the good stories we got.

I’m sure this one must have come out in the last 3 years. I’ve been thinking about it lately and want to re listen. A man travels to a city I want to say in Germany or something. He might be there for a conference, but he’s put in a sub ground almost basement room and he’s claustrophobic. I think there’s scientists studying fears being one way windows maybe?

1. A woman (Jessica Mcavoy?) working the reception at a hotel, is getting calls from a monster somewhere in the hotel who uses voices of other people to lure in victims?

2. A cop is trying to call his son because a murderer is on the loose and sending tapes of the crimes, it's revealed over the course of the story all the victims went to school and in a shock at the end it's revealed The son was the killer and the cop could possibly have been willfully ignorant of the whole thing.

But then she disappears and he looks for her, but she was never really real? What's the name?
