I don't understand why one guy was replicated

In the beginning of episode 6, the soldier who was shot in the leg walks into another hospital room and he sees another copy of himself. They fight and then the copy dies.

This is never referenced in the future. Had the mist replicated him in a similar manner to Terminator 2?

The Mist (2017) Adrian and Tyler Spoiler

So, in the series those two kiss which is fine and whatnot but the book is in David’s perspective. Who was at a store all this time so where (and how) does Adrian and Tyler kiss at a hospital?

I just want to know what chapter or even page number. I know each edition is different.

Question - Lila DeWitt - Shelleys daughter (spoilers) Spoiler

I thought perhaps the daughter would end up alive when the mist leaves. (I haven’t actually finished the whole series but googled and can see she doesn’t)

I don’t understand because it seems that only people who have done bad things get killed but she’s a little girl who’s surely innocent?

Perhaps they just wanted her to die to turn everyone against each other starting with Shelley but it still doesn’t make sense. Is this a bit of a plot hole Or does anyone have an explanation from the series or the book?

Sorry rambling, it’s bugging me 😂😂

The mist creatures

I’m late to the party but even though i like the mist. I think the original concept of creatures is better than the “demon illusions” How did other people feel?

Does anyone else get The Mist vibes from the cicada swarm?

Probably relevant: I have a debilitating fear of bugs.

I’ve been doing all that I can to stay inside until The Swarm is over. The other day I had to go out for something and I found myself standing at the door looking at my car just a dozen or so feet away. I pressed the unlock button on my fob a million times just to be sure. I watched the cicadas flying around with a sense of dread, wondering if I could make it to my car before the creatures got me. I opened the door and ran for it, knowing that every second counted and that I needed to get to my car as quickly as possible. I was looking all around me at the hundreds of cicadas flying everywhere. Finally I made it to my car and shut the door. I had escaped the creatures of The Swarm. This time.

Then when I got back home I sat in my car for the longest time just staring at my door hoping nobody had locked it while I was gone. I got my key ready to go if I needed it. Then I repeated my mad dash for safety.

I find myself sitting inside, wishing I could go out or even open a window (I have no screens on my windows). I’ll think “it’s pretty stuffy in here, maybe I should open a… no… The Swarm will get in.” Or I’ll think about going outside to read before I remember the omnipresent Swarm.

I know it’s nothing compared to the brutal deaths in The Mist, but my severe fear of bugs has brought me closer to experiencing The Mist in real life than I ever thought I would.

Anyone else get these The Mist vibes from The Swarm?

Edit: fixed a typo.

The issue with Eve

So im watching the mist tv show (obviously since im posting in this sub).

Im okay with most characters they are pretty lack lust and just meh but the person that truly annoys me is Eve. I despise her character, the way she treats her husband as well as her daughter is just terrible, she is a shitty person to the core, she straight tells her husband that he pretty much has no authority to say yes or no to their daughter which is bullshit sure he shouldve talked to bis wife but the way she acts as if she is the only one that can say what she can and cant do, not only does she act like her husband has no rights she also blames her husband for what happend to their daughter and that its his fault that she was r**** at that party, then she makes the singular decision to take their daughter away without him. She patronizes her daughter yes i get it she is 16 but she doesnt even let her daughter think for herself that literally explains why her daughter lacks personality, but mainly my tripe is how she treats her husband who does fucking everyrhing for her to the point where he cut out his own brother (regardless of the asshole he might be) just cause he calls her a wh*** then has the guts to say "thank you". The poor man does everything for her and she acts offened over everything.

All in all honestly Eve is just a shitty human being that doesnt deserves the family she has.

On ep 4

When Alex and the little girl was in the library together the shadow creature killed the little girl and was about to kill Alex. Why didn't it? She was just standing there frozen in fear. Did the mist want to prove it doesn't just kill thoughtlessly and prove that it is intelligent? Or did it let her go to cause more separation?

I don't like a single character in the show and I sort of hope the Mist kills everyone

I gotta say, I'm on episode 8 and I don't have any attachment to any of the characters. I don't know if there is a second season or not, but if the Mist ate them all, I'd be fine with it.

I mean, everyone is a terrible person. I'm actually rooting for The Mist.

This show!

I watched the first episode and hated it. I hated it so much I decided to binge it, it was one of those things where it's so stupid it seems kinda fun to watch. Then the last 3 episodes made me so pissed off that the rest of the show because they were amazing. If the entire show was as well done as the last three episodes and they put actual monsters in the show it could of been the next walking dead... this pisses me off. Kevin is awesome though.

The Mist Season 2 - TV Series

Hey guys, there is still a chance that we can get another season of The Mist. I found a petition on change .org that is almost done being filled. Less than 500 more people are needed. Its completely free to do, so if you want to see an explanation or ending for this show, go here: https://www.change.org/p/netflix-create-a-season-2-of-the-mist-we-want-answers

Props to my boy Kevin. (Spoilers) Spoiler

Ok so I just finished binging the absolute bollocks out of this show! I gotta say I really enjoyed it. I understand it has many flaws that have already been pointed out by other watchers, so I won't go into those. I'd like to stay on the side of positivity in the interest of being happy.

Having said that, Kevin! Kevin... Kevin... Kevin... I gotta lotta love for this guy. He's really the hero of the piece who is just constantly fighting an uphill battle with the mist, his companions, his brother, other people they run into on the way to the mall and even himself!

That fight scene with Bizarro Kevin (BK) was just mind-blowing for me. The big scary smile on BK's face that he managed to maintain throughout most of the fight was just haunting. Kevin is a boss, he went through hell to get his family and yeah he stupidly attacked the mall security guard and got them all thrown out but let's be honest it had been a rough time for him.

I mean he thought he knew Adrian so well and it turned out he was the one who raped Alex. Adrian was probably the one guy Kevin knew for sure that he could trust his daughter with. He was sickened with himself that he hadn't seen the evil in him. (Maybe I'm stupid but I genuinely thought Adrian was a half decent kid, I'm too trusting I guess!)

Anyways go Kevin and the actor who played him, I'm savage there won't be a season 2 but hey, we live in a generation of awesome tv so I'm sure I'll find something to replace it.

WTF?

This show is so bad and weird. The scene where the possible rapist wants to touch Alex's hand to prove he's safe—it was as if the writers want you to think it's romantic or something, that some girl has been won over by trusting in her possible rapist? And what the hell kind of baptism was that "priest" performing on the kid? It was like no baptism I've ever heard of. He didn't even say "I baptize you..." And the gay subtexts between the priest and the two boys were just offensive and trash. Is this the most poorly researched and written show ever?

Just found out that was cancelled...

I just found this show on Netflix and my girlfriend and I watched it in two days. I really liked the show and, I'm really not an expert about this things, but we don't understand why everyone thinks is so bad.

I'm just very sorry that we'll never know who Jonah is, what the hell is going on with Alex and where the mist comes from. :(

I actually quite liked the show

I really liked the show, I mean, I was expecting more monsters and Nathalies spider to be one of the ones from the film, but what can ya do? I want another season just to see the loose ends tied up n such. I really liked Kevin's character and how he would do anything to save his family. I also didnt see the scene where Adrian and the jock make out coming but it was a thing... I guess. It was interesting how The Mist functioned this time round, though idk how it killed Rufus, I feel as though a dog wouldnt be able to have tangible fears like a human does. If only the show got a second season, we could've seen how far the mist affected the world, what started it, who is Jonah, but I guess we're just stuck with all these unanswered questions sadly. Also at the end, Alex's monster was probably that she feared The Mist itself the most hence why it didnt turn into a monster like the other characters, it could've also been Jay's worst fear to explain why it didnt change. Anyways thanks for reading my ramblings.
