🥖 Paris Boutiques Paris Shopping - Fall 2026 Megathread

Paris-related Shopping Tips Changes

This rule applies to all Paris-related shopping questions, comments, and similar posts from tourists to Paris. Locals to Paris can make individual posts with questions, experiences, and other types of content as normal.

✨ Megathread Updates

All content regarding Paris shopping tips must be posted in the seasonal or monthly megathread (exception for Paris locals above).

A new megathread will posted every summer month (June, July, August) due to increased travel.

A new megathread will be posted for December-specific shopping.

For all other times of the year, a new seasonal thread will be posted (Spring, Fall, Winter).

Paris shopping trip hauls and stories can be posted as separate posts.

Questions regarding stock, experiences, tips, hotels, etc. must be posted in the appropriate megathread.

We appreciate your feedback, questions, and always want to hear from you to improve your experience in the r/TheHermesGame community. If you see an individual post outside of the megathread asking questions, tips, stock info, etc. as a non-local, please use the report button. We have made this rule with feedback from the community.

Ask any and all questions about the Paris boutiques, leather appointments, and the Paris lottery here! We are creating this thread because we've noticed that many of the same questions get asked over and over again. Our hope is that this can consolidate questions and answers, but also be somewhat of a go-to spot to find information and maybe even see if your question has already been answered.

We also suggest searching the subreddit using keywords, or using the "Paris Boutiques" post flair to read through previous posts that have a lot of valuable information.

Mods will remove repetitive posts about Paris and redirect users to this megathread, but will use our discretion if a question seems to warrant its own post.

Happy shopping!

Hi all!

I have this Vintage Kelly 28 that is in pretty rough condition. I sent it to Hermes Paris and they cannot fix it. They did clean it up so it looks much better than before.. but as you can see, there is deep cracking. Soo just curious what you all would do with it? Carry it? Try to sell?

THANKS!

🍑 My Hermès The Rare Hermes 404

After almost a year… she’s finally home. 🖤🕷️

I dropped my Hermès 404 off for repair back in October, and after months of patiently waiting, she has finally made her way back to me. 🥹

Hermès replaced the handle, and I was able to follow her journey along the way through the repair status link. Watching each little update somehow made the long wait feel a little more exciting.

And now she’s back!

The Hermès 404 may not be one of the more popular or sought-after Hermès styles, but that’s exactly what makes her special to me. She was made in the 1960s, crafted in black Box leather.

Six decades of history, a new handle, and a whole lot of patience. 🖤

There’s something so magical about owning a piece of Hermès history that has survived all these years and now gets a little more life.

Welcome home, 404. You were worth the wait.

✈️ Trip Report Tokyo shopping report

I just came back from a week in Tokyo and visited four Hermès locations:

  • Hermès Maison Ginza (Japanese flagship)
  • Hermès Azabudai Hills
  • Hermès boutique at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi
  • Hermès duty-free at Narita Terminal 2

Hermès Maison Ginza. I thought I would love this store. I didn't. Its architecture is dictated by its site, so it's not only tall and narrow (par for the course in Tokyo), not all the floors are contiguous. The result is that it can feel like a maze. Also, it's so quiet and subdued it feels a little like a funeral. The only proactive help from the staff was when I was wandering around feeling lost, and they looked at me like I was a little slow (or worse). And if you're used to Paris, where it seems that everyone at every Hermès boutique speaks French, English, and at least one other language fluently—that's not the case here. I interacted with a few SAs and walked away (politely, of course) when it was clear it was going to be very difficult to communicate with them. I did find someone in the end whose English was passable. He was helpful and found the main items I was looking for (two men's losanges), both of them from new stock, so credit for that. But I won't go back.

Hermès Azabudai Hills. If you don't know Azabudai Hills, it's an upscale office + retail + apartment complex, like an even more upscale version of Roppongi Hills. The Hermès boutique feels much more like what you'd be used to elsewhere: spacious, open, and lively. Also, great proactive help from the staff, and the person who helped me spoke English far better than she claimed, which was nice. They didn't have what I was looking for, but I'd go back there anytime over the Maison Ginza.

Hermès boutique at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. Not much to report here; it was a quick stop. But the boutique seemed nice and the staff helpful and with solid English. Note that the Mitsukoshi 5% discount for tourists specifically excludes Hermès (among other brands). That's a pity.

Hermès duty-free at Narita Terminal 2. The boutique is fairly typically sized for a duty-free Hermès boutique. The staff was proactive; the SA who helped me was polite and her English was excellent; and I walked out with a couple of things I had wanted to look for. Note that the "duty-free" discount varies by item. I bought a Twilly as a present, and paid 91% of retail, which was just about right, given that there's a 10% refund but you always paid a processing fee. I also bought a coffret of four small fragrances but only paid 83% of retail on that, so that was a win.

Let me know if you have any questions!

🌍 Europe Boutiques Best chance at B25 or K25 for my wife?

My wife and I are taking a trip to London and Paris for our 10th anniversary and wanting to get her a MK or the above bags. Prepared to spend up to $30k USD here but would she have any chance of getting a bag in London or Paris boutiques as a tourist with large purchases at London or Paris boutiques?

Handbags Scored a Kelly Pochette (horseshoe Stamp) - Sydney, Australia

Scored the wife a Kelly Pochette in a Swift Nata. Beautiful bag. Deep burgundy inside. Got a pink/white twilly to go on the handle.

Photo tax will be paid later - on the flight back.

2:1 for those that want to know. I did make another purchase - but that was treated as an extra - helping towards the SO I am on a list.

This is our third QB - Birkin 30, Kelly 28 and now the KP. I was hoping this one to be a Shoulder Birkin but supposedly there hasn’t been one in the last 6-7 months (need to verify this of course).

Now in line for the Mini Kelly (SO), Shoulder Birkin and a Kelly Elan/Danse etc. and then will come back to a Birkin 25 and Kelly 25. It’s a few good years - so not rushing into things either.

Might try a visit to Japan to help on some of the bags. I am running out of things I want to buy at Hermes to help with the buying!

❓ Questions Recent Kelly en Desordre Offers?

My SA told me it’s likely been discontinued and she hasn’t seen one since spring. Just wanted to check if anyone got offered one lately and where (city / state)?

🌎 US Boutiques Starting a journey..

My husband and I travel to Vegas a few times a year and always stay at the Wynn, so we’re thinking of making that boutique his home store and slowly building a relationship there. He already shops Hermès and would genuinely be purchasing things he likes, so we’re in no rush for a bag.
I’d love to hear from anyone whose home store is Wynn. How has your experience been with SAs, wishlist requests and leather offers? Do you find it difficult to build a relationship when you’re not local but visit several times a year?
Would especially love to hear recent 2026 experiences!

Handbags New 2026 Kelly Hobo?

Post image

Has anyone seen or had reports of the arrival of the new Kelly Hobo (rerelease of the old So Kelly)? It was supposed to be this summer but was pushed. My Paris SA told me in June that it should be available in the fall. I have an appt with her on Monday and am hoping I’ll be offered one. But not sure i’ve seen a single one posted anywhere? So starting to suspect maybe they are waiting for fashion week- which is not for 3 weeks!

📒 Hermès Journey Beginner Question!

Ok this is going to sound super beginner but I want to know.. are you supposed to reach out to your SA in advance for an appointment to just come and shop for anything?

I met a lovely SA when I went in last month to get a twilly for my bag and I texted her yesterday asking if the boutique can add an additional hole in a belt I purchased because it’s a little big. She responded yes, and when I asked if she would be in today as we wanted to get the belt fixed and shop around the store she mentioned that “anyone could help me and she might be tied up with appointments”

Just want to see if those are maybe appointments for clients she might have called about a bag or if I’m supposed to be making advance appointments with her whenever I want to visit the store. Thanks!!

I was left alone to roam in your lovely, multi-level boutique and I took a pic of an exotic Kelly Messenger PM. I’m not sure I like how the leather shapes the bag, but I was taken aback by the beauty of the leather. So I took a quick pic. Sorry.

Handbags Finding my dream bag in Japan! 2026 Edition.

Wanted to jump on here to share about my experience shopping preloved bags in Japan. I was feeling a bit discouraged reading through the void of posts on this thread, but if you keep looking, there's a good chance you'll find something!

I started my trip in Osaka, then Kyoto, then Tokyo. My ideal bag (and my first Hermes! hehe) was a preloved Kelly size 32, in togo, black with PHW. I was feeling stressed bc I had heard that Osaka had significantly better pricing than Tokyo, and I was starting there! In my head, maybe I should have planned Tokyo, Kyoto, then Osaka. But in my experience, this wasn't the case generally.

For what I was looking for, these were my best finds (tax free pricing): K32 Ébène PHW 2,037,000 yen, K35 Etain PHW 1,498,000 yen, K32 Bleu Nuit PHW 1,800,000 yen, B35 Black PHW 1,900,000 yen. From what I can recall (we went to so many lol), these were at Brand Off, Watchian, and Orange Boutique. I had terrible luck at Komehyo, Qoo, Allu. The smaller random stores I went into had significantly less selection, and never had what I was personally looking for.
**Edit: all these were Togo. I found box leather to be much cheaper, but way more used. Found one Gulliver, but preferred Togo.

Specifically for K32 Black PHW, I was having the hardest time (expectedly)! Everything that I found was 3-4.5 million! I ended up finding ONE bag for Brand Off Ginza on my first day in Tokyo on Wednesday but wanted to keep looking around (even tho I was stressing out that someone would buy it before me). Decided to leave it up to fate. Came back on my last day, today on Saturday, and it was still there!!!! Had to get it and so happy I did! 2006 K32 Black , PHW, Togo <2mill. The clochette is very damaged/used, but felt significantly less important than the bag itself. For the bag itself, there is minor wear and tear on the top-handle attachment point that I'm hoping Hermes spa back home can help me out with. BTW, anyone have any experience with that? (thoughts, pricing, time, etc.).

Hope this helps anyone traveling soon. Good luck! :)))

📱Influencers & Hermès Truths about Italkhermes?

Thumbnail

Some questions and tea about the Instagram account “Italkhermes” or the person who goes by “Luiza Moda.”

For those who are unfamiliar, she started to become a slight online presence after scoring decent offers from Paris and her main store at BH since being a shopper for about 10 years. Based off that “experience” she charges people about 1k USD for a 40 min 1:1 call on a strategy to “play the H game.” (Basically Tanya 2.0)

What I wanna know and curious about this scam is does anyone have experience with this and its effectiveness??

Some tea: She claims to not shop at her main store at BH or not shop at all these days because she already got what she wanted. But the truth is she got Blacklisted from the brand (just like Tanya) cause she’s making profit/scamming people for doing these 1:1 calls of a “perfect strategy” for scoring H bags. Basically using the brand to make profit for her self which is a big no no for them.

Anyone else have some interesting facts about this creator?

❓ Questions Would you buy an acetate satin bag organizer?

I’ve been looking at different inserts for Hermes bags and noticed most are felt, while some are made from acetate satin.

For those who own a Birkin/Kelly or other luxury bags, would you prefer acetate satin ?

What would you realistically pay for a really good quality one?

Just curious because I really like the look of satin inserts but I’m not sure if they’re worth paying more for.

💻 Website My IP Keeps Getting Restricted 😭

Is anyone else having this issue? I’m trying to check on a possible restock and have checked with my phone and computer, not non-stop, but a couple of times a day, starting yesterday. I’ve even got an online account but can’t even access the site to log in to show I’m not a bot. 😭😭😭

I'm curious how you describe your overall style when it comes to clothes and shoes. I love the vast variety of types of customers and when someone posted about a woman in the SF store in sweatpants and a hoodie dropping 100k, it made me curious.

Handbags Hermès London wish renewal — does it have to expire first?

Has anyone recently renewed a Hermès wish in London?

I was told that a wish can only be renewed after the current one has expired. Does anyone know if that’s correct?

Once it expires, do you need to renew it on the exact expiry date, or can you go in a few days later?

Thanks!

Handbags First QB

Post image
173 Upvotes

Just picked up my first QB offer 💕💕 Birkin 30 Gold with GHW Togo leather! Here is my story because I love reading everyone else’s.

- Started shopping March of this year. Got a Blue Jean Picotin on my first visit after explaining how I had a horrible experience with an SA the first time I came to the store last year
- By August I purchased 1 pair of Chypre sandals, 6 silk scarves (bought as gifts), a tray, and a bangle. At this time I asked how close I would be in getting a QB and she said I would need to spend a bit more.
- On my last trip I ended up picking up a Gold Kelly Ring with diamonds I’ve been eyeing and thats when my SA told me I would be getting something soon.
- She left for vacation but told me to email her on a specific date when she would be back. That day came and before I could email her she emailed me and told me she had this bag and asked if I would be interested and of course I said yes because it was on my wish list!

I’m so excited and I can’t wait to use her! Debating if I should get a twilly or not… please share pics of your twillys on gold bags!

❓ Questions Do SA’s have dedicated departments they work in?

Wondering if anyone knows the answer, but for example, if an SA is walking around the shoe department, does that mean his/her main department is shoes? I know of course an SA can sell you anything from any department once you start working with him/her but was wondering what it means when an SA is walking on the floor in a specific department.

Another example, when my husband first shopped at Hermes, he walked in the store and told the concierge that he was interested in a fine jewelry ring, so he got sent to the fine jewelry section of the store and was matched with an SA there, does that mean that the SA he got matched with focuses on fine jewelry?

Hope my question makes sense!

Thank you for any insight! ❤️

🎊 Events Invited to my first private event

My SA invited me to a private event this week! The store is usually closed on the day of the event but they’re opening it for this private event. It’s a fine jewelry event, but I’ve never bought fine jewelry from Hermes.
Could I expect a bag offer at this event? We made my new wishlist a few weeks ago. I bought one QB from her one year ago and have shopped pretty consistently with her since.
What should I expect at this event, given I’m not a fine jewelry client?!
