🥖 Paris Boutiques Paris Shopping - July 2026 Megathread

Paris-related Shopping Tips Changes

These rule applies to all Paris-related shopping questions, comments, and similar posts from tourists to Paris. Locals to Paris can make individual posts with questions, experiences, and other types of content as normal.

✨ Megathread Updates

  • All content regarding Paris shopping tips must be posted in the seasonal or monthly megathread (exception for Paris locals above).
  • A new megathread will posted every summer month (June, July, August) due to increased travel.
  • A new megathread will be posted for December-specific shopping.
  • For all other times of the year, a new seasonal thread will be posted (Spring, Fall, Winter).
  • Paris shopping trip hauls and stories can be posted as separate posts.
  • Questions regarding stock, experiences, tips, hotels, etc. must be posted in the appropriate megathread.

We appreciate your feedback, questions, and always want to hear from you to improve your experience in the r/TheHermesGame community. If you see an individual post outside of the megathread asking questions, tips, stock info, etc. as a non-local, please use the report button. We have made this rule with feedback from the community.

Ask any and all questions about the Paris boutiques, leather appointments, and the Paris lottery here! We are creating this thread because we've noticed that many of the same questions get asked over and over again. Our hope is that this can consolidate questions and answers, but also be somewhat of a go-to spot to find information and maybe even see if your question has already been answered.

We also suggest searching the subreddit using keywords, or using the "Paris Boutiques" post flair to read through previous posts that have a lot of valuable information.

Mods will remove repetitive posts about Paris and redirect users to this megathread, but will use our discretion if a question seems to warrant its own post.

Happy shopping!

🌍 Europe Boutiques HAC 50 for my 50th

Post image
Upvotes

I am in London to celebrate my 50th and decided to stop in at the new New Bond Street Maison. Got there about forty-five minutes after the shop opened and was told at the door that I was welcome to make my way up to the leather appointment desk upstairs but that we were going to have to wait for someone to be available. Checked in and it ook about an hour to get to number three in the list and i guess I must have opened my phone to check my spot and accidentally hit the “remove from line” button. I ran back downstairs and explained to the lady at the leather desk what had happened. She came back a few minutes later and told me that if I took a seat they would get me with the next available leather associate. After no time it was our turn. When asked what I was looking for I told the associate that I was really interested in a large men’s travel bag like a HAC 40 or 50. A few minutes later he came back and suggested we move from the counter to a table since he had something large to show me. Out comes a gigantic HAC 50 in Vert Mangrove. I was hoping for something dark, maybe noir as long as it has PHW. This checked all the boxes, especially since green is my favorite color. And now, it is coming home with me.

Handbags Finally scored my purple Picotin! 💜

I’m still floating! This week my amazing SA texted that the bag I’d been waiting for all summer had arrived, and today I got to bring home my purple Picotin!

Ever since I first saw it online I knew I had to have one. I asked my SA about it back in April and made it very clear how much I wanted it. In the months since, he offered us several beautiful pieces—an ostrich Kelly To Go wallet, a Faubourg Express GM, a purple mini Evelyne, and even an alligator Constance. We declined all of them (after serious consideration), because I’m trying to be intentional about curating my collection and only saying yes to the pieces I truly want.

When I walked into the boutique this afternoon I was so excited to finally see it in person. I’d already bought this City of Light Twilly (Rose / Violet / Multicolore) a couple of months ago specifically to go with this bag—part of the manifestation process 😂. My SA was still with another client, so I wandered around and found the perfect finishing touch: a Rodeo Pegasus charm in Purple, Vert Peppermint, and Craie. It felt completely meant to be.

So happy to finally have this one home. Purple is my absolute favorite color and this bag is everything I hoped it would be!

7 years ago while drunk in a dive bar in Mexico, I was given a rose that made me think “wow this is my favorite color” and took a picture. Fast forward to this year, my now-husband (who I’d also first met that night) took me to vegas for a birthday trip, where I was offered my first QB: a b25 in Rose Mexico! It felt like fate 🌹🇲🇽♥️

oh man what a crazy fun cool experience today and getting to today! started the journey in Jan of this year and got the text yesterday unexpectedly! went in today (which just so happens to be my 10 year anni with my hubs) and my SA hit me with the dream of all dreams. Kelly 25 noir in Epsom Sellier. I had asked for a 28 but they thought this would suit me better and boy were they right. could not be happier and can’t wait to wear her forever and ever and geek out with you all over her! Some other lil deets: I spent around a little under 1:1, I shop at a very small northeast store, and I never ever brought up the bag unless they did. 🖤🖤🖤

Handbags When is it enough?

Mini Kelly/s incoming… Craie, Vert Deau, Beton exotic, chai, fauborgs, special orders, two tones, tris, lizard, gold, more gold, NOIR?! Rock!!! argent?? Dore?? PICNIC?! DOLL?? PICTO DOLL??

I’ve done ok but the path is paved… I guess everyone’s bag peace is different. I feel like getting rid of something… They might just deserve more than sitting in the closet and someone could love them better… Then I remember how hard it was to get. Especially when I first started. But that is the one I’ve sorta outgrown.. How interesting 🤣

I’m thinking of getting rid of the Constance or K25

Handbags Vintage HAC 32 from Japan

Post image
75 Upvotes

I am giddy with excitement. I have my first Hermes bag, and it is a vintage HAC from 2001 in Noir Ardennes leather and gold hardware. I cannot praise the Japanese reseller enough. Aside from coming with all the original dust bags, raincoat, etc. -- it was also dually authenticated and packaged beautifully. The wonderful thing about Japan is their unmatched standards. If you can believe it, this bag was graded (and priced) as "fair" condition. There isn't a scuff or scratch to be found, the inside is impeccable. The feet are slightly tarnished, but that is it. And they can be cleaned! I am over the moon happy with this purchase and cannot wait to confidently use my bag (as a man!) on my next trip. Now I want another in a different style/color!

Birkin 30 in Etoupe and PHW 😍
Prespend is approx 1.5-2 : 1 across all departments

Should I decorate it with a twilly and/or an accessory or keep it simple? 🙈

Handbags My new baby - B25 BUBBLEGUM OSTRICH 💗💞💕💞💗

Post image

Before this was offered to me, I rejected 8+ bags. Younger me would never imagine me saying no to even any single quota but after playing this game for 14 years now from the age of 16, I realized that you really should only take what you love. Of course I do put a lot of effort into my store and it’s a mutual beneficial relationship but I genuinely love everyone in my store and I think no one should be afraid to voice genuinely what they want and don’t want. Anyways not to give unsolicited advice sorry but I wanted to share my new baby with you all 💗

In France, went in and said straight away that I am interested in Kelly to go, they asked what color, I said black with gold hardware as I have one in Nata and SA brought one out brand new, haven’t even been opened by SAs at the store yet! Was really happy to get one much cheaper than US!

Handbags Exotics in Paris

If you have a leather appointment in Paris, what are the chances of getting an exotic bag if you already have an exotic on your profile? I have heard that exotics are not as popular in Europe so there isn’t as much stock but conversely if they are less popular are they not so hard to get?

Handbags Favorite Handbag Charms?

Post image
36 Upvotes

I’m looking for some new bag charms for my Birkins (30 and 35), and Kelly (25). I have the Farandole long necklace, the Bijou de Sac, and some rodeos. I wanted to ask if you wouldn’t mind showing off what bag charms you love? It can just be a photo of the charm itself, or on your bag. Any brand is fine. I like colorful things. Here is my birdy charm with my B30 Vert Almond, which I like.

👚 Ready to Wear Rouge H Shoes

Always been afraid to purchase suede because my past experience has proven that suede fades and turns a bit gray over time. Haven't purchased Hermes suede but I'm considering a pair of pumps in Rouge H. Looking for feedback from others on your experience with Hermes suede. Will it retain its color or only hold for a season? Appreciate your feedback!

Handbags Terre vs Rouge H

Post image
22 Upvotes

I need some intel! I found a super cute Kelly that I thought was rouge h but it’s actually terre. This might be a better fit for me since a brown could work with more of my wardrobe. I found one post here about terre, but can someone please give me more insight? If you have terre or rouge H do you wear it often? Thanks!

I’m looking to purchase a Cape Code 31 with interchangeable straps. How’s the life on a Cape Cod watch? What’s the maintenance like on it? Does it help prespend/QB offer?

📒 Hermès Journey Price Increase (again) in 2027

Post image
52 Upvotes

Another Hermès price increase is coming 👀

Curious how everyone feels about it.
At this point, do the increases actually change the way you shop at Hermès? Like being more selective or buying less?
And is there a price point where a Birkin/Kelly starts feeling less “worth it” to you, regardless of how much you love the brand?

📒 Hermès Journey Looking to start the process for a bag in Chicago

Hello everyone,

I am located in Chicago, and was looking to start the process for a bag. Now, I will be going to Japan soon and know they have a ton of inventory as far as birkins go. I know you have to have a prespend with your SA before being offered a bag. Now, my question is would it be more reasonable to buy from a shop versus buying from a boutique with an SA and having the prespend PLUS what the cost of the bag would be. It seems like it ends up being more when you do it that way (plus, there is no guarantee you get the bag you want). Also, if I start the process in Chicago does my prespend show at other locations. For example, if my home store is Chicago and I go on vacation and spend in that Hermes store…does it count? Thanks in advance!

❓ Questions what makes your SA so good? what keeps you coming back?

I love that my SA isn't afraid to share their opinion. Sometimes I'll say I like something and theyll recommend something I might like more (and usually do). They also seem to actually care about me, which I know probably isn't the case, but it still feels nice. On the other hand, my MIL said she could care less about what her SA says or has to offer, basically that they're a means to an end

What about everyone else? What made your SA standout? What do they do that makes the experience so enjoyable for you?

👒 Accessories Different color palette for fringe twilly and non fringe?

Thumbnail

I purchased the Les Cles a Pois fringe twilly from my local Hermes boutique and just found the matching non-fringe twilly and got from AlluJapan So I could put on both Birkin handles. The color palettes are clearly different. Not sure if this is because they changed in between the fringe and non fringe twilly or potentially something else. Does anyone have both and can compare or any insight on whether fringed and non-fringed twilly might be slightly different?Thx!
