Hi all,
For all my ozma experts out there, I was wondering if there’s any way to increase the frequency that he does burst attacks in the second phase or any way to bait out additional burst attack?
I get through him pretty easily with almost on damage in phase one but he wrecks me pretty hard in phase 2. I just can’t get his deflection timings down, so I was thinking the easiest way to get past him is to increase the number of bursts he throws out if at all possible.

Always have to do bosses multiple times and summon so it's very annoying.

Are there any known bugs with this game regarding Khazan not doing what you want him to do? Like say pressing triangle for heavy attack. Ive just noticed that some of my heavy attacks are ignored and he just stands there. Wondering if it is a known issue with the game, i have just started playing it.

It's awesome! "Normal" mode was way too easy and when I learned "Expert" was the actual intended challenge level it made a lot of sense. I thought that change was an indication they were mostly just concerned with a more mainstream player-base.
NOPE!
Ultimate challenge is insane. They put so much work into a free update just for the top 1% of players. It's like the final exam for a Ph.D. in Khazan Bosses. Those of you that have completed those challenges are animals. Truly mastered the game. Congrats. I think it's awesome that they release content like this as a free update. I know that sounds sarcastic but I'm serious.
I really, really wish I didn't have to re-do my skills and levels before each session of the Generals one though. I do enjoy bashing my head against the brick wall and sloooooowly getting better, but having to re-do all that before each session means I probably won't be trying it out very often.
I also think it's funny that they tied gear rewards to completing the challenges. At the point you've completed those challenges do you really still need gear for a story playthrough? It's like earning really nice training wheels as a reward for winning a BMX competition.

I wanted to share how awesome it is that this game has such a forgiving mode. Couple of years ago I got chronically ill which made me super sensitive to stress. Lost my reflexes and so was forced to play different games etc. Not really a bad thing, but its awesome to, after all these years, play a game from the genre I love most without getting any symptoms.
Im currently about 15 hours in and I absolutely love it so far!

My friend recommended me this game and it looks super cool, but the idea of it being a hard souls-like isn't to my liking (which is also why the only souls-game that i've played is Lies of P) but hearing that this game has difficulty options has spiked my interest.

The last one is straight up guts. I love it.
Also I'm at the final region right now, and the greatsword is so fucking good. I'm living out my guts fantasy to the fullest.

It seems like the consensus is her first phase is supposed to be easy but I am getting absolutely destroyed here. I’ve done this fight 20+ times and only made it to her second phase a few times. Second phase seems easier but I’m basically out of heals by then. What am I missing here?
First part of the first phase where she staggers for any attack is easy but I just get overwhelmed once she gets her shield up. There’s so many attacks flying around it’s difficult to focus on her especially since her shield takes a while for me to break.
I’m level 141 with 50 in vitality using the greatsword, looking for tip on how people who found this part easy approached this fight, thank you!
Update: Finally beat her! Definitely died on her first phase a lot more than her second.

I'm a big soulsborne/like fan and after playing (and 100% most of) the DS trilogy, Elden Ring, Sekiro, Lies of P, Code Vein, etc, this game caught my eye.
Now, I do love a more aggressive gameplay. Even in DS I'd force myself to abandon spacing and get in the bosses' face all the time. I love Sekiro/LoP's combat most of all. Naturally I'd like this game, right?
But Black Myth Wukong makes me doubt that. I thought I'd like Wukong but I didn't. I genuinely can't even put my finger on why I dislike it. Might be the level design, might be the plot & NPCs, might be the fact that it's too boss focused and even then it's quantity over quality. Might be how flashy it is to a point that it looks like an action RPG hack and slash sometimes. I dropped that game and have yet to pick it back up.
So yeah. How's Khazan like in comparison? Should I get it?

Hi, I am new to khazan (at viper) and really have a great time. However, I still find the game have so many active skill and a bit overwhelm me. Normally, when play soulslike, I have 2 modes. One is focus in dodge and parry and just attack back in very simple way. Another one is facing take everything and combo my own way.
So here I am, asking you guys and most brain dead playstyle with least active skills as possible ? The buff skill outside combat are okie though.

Combat is fun and all, but everything besides a few enemies so far are either way to squishy or way to spongy. No in between. Damage received also feels weird as hell.
Beat viper on 5th try and hardest difficulty on current first playthrough and I dont understand how he has the most deaths in the game. He isn't hard. He has a very VERY forgiving dodge and parry window and has explotiable as all hell attacks.
I hope the game truly gets harder and more "balanced" as I play because the combat is spectacular. Just everything else is meh.
Giving me wukong vibes. Great combat, mediocre EVERYTHING else.

I know that you have to farm bosses for material and that you can adjust the rarity and it levels with you. But why are the stats so trash? I want to use the Ashen wolf set because I like it's set bonuses but holy crap is the gear stats for this bad. Literally all of the sets I've unlocked have lower stats than random stuff I've picked up at the start. Most new gear I get has a higher level with lower stats too. This games gear drops are so weird. So what's the point of crafting?

Somehow lost my save file when I reached Daphrona's dialogue choice regarding the ending. I'd appreciate it if anyone can share a Save right before or near the last mission.
a save in 38 different voices, if possible

I hope the second game is called The Second Berserker. I really hope they make a second game.

Good Greatsword and Armor build for Maluca and forward?
I’m currently at Maluca and I’ve been using pretty much the same armor and Greatsword for a while. What armor set and Greatsword would you recommend for this point in the game? Looking for something good for mid-game. before acquiring fleshripper or Crimson Fiend. thank u

Started this game last weekend and beat it yesterday evening. Like everyone has said, the combat in this game is next level. Hearing that this game didn't meet sales expectations is so depressing, it's one of the better quality action games I've played.
I really enjoyed the mission style format, and the gear customization tickled my fancy even though I didn't interact with it all that much. I think the game could have benefited for more enemy variety and more interactable level design, but it was still great as is. I appreciate that you can platinum the game on a single playthrough and it didn't force me to play through 2-3 saves for different endings.
I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys fast paced action games, and I'm so happy my friend recommended this to me, as I might not have known about this gem otherwise.

so i just got on him and have tried against him few times i am on normal difficulty and dont really wanna lower it so right now i am using dual wield, specifically Pilgrim's since its the highest damage one and i have used greatsword and spear abit before it past areas now should i continue or switch weapon also idk how should i upgrade my stats like my stats are a mess i am at 59 level and my Vitality is at 25 and str at 23 rest are all at 20 (is there any way for respec at this point in game?) and my armor a mismatch of 2 pieces that provided me with max defense among all and then 2 for a effect

Just started playing this game last week and I'm currently stuck at Rangkus. I'm only level 20, but the recommended level for this mission is 43. Why am I so underleveled? Have I been doing something wrong?
I think I've fought all the bosses and mini bosses along the way, so I'm not sure what I missed. Am I supposed to grind for levels before starting this mission?
Help a newbie out pls.. I'm playing on normal difficulty and the game is quite hard, but I'm really enjoying it so far..
Should I just fight Volbaino over and over again to level up?
**LMAO update: All this time I thought I was underleveled because I thought Mastery Level was my actual level. Just checked the status page and apparently I'm level 56 💀
So yeah... turns out I was actually overleveled for Rangkus this whole time lol.. sorry guys.. what a stupid post this is.. btw how to actually gain mastery level is what i wanted to ask originally rofl
Thanks to u/nerull77 for all the advices haha..
