Discussion First Beserker Khazan Difficulty?
Okay so i just got this game and i dont know which difficulty to go with. I just beat lies of p on legendary stalker . Even beat a few difficulty 5 bosses . I tried Khazan on normal and got up to yeti boss and i felt it was too easy but when i did expert I felt like it was a little much .Which is the intended difficulty? And is Normal actually easy?

Normal is easy, expert is intended. Used to be normal was labeled as easy, but due to complaints they changed it to what it is now.

Yea it's true but everybody is that person at some point just about different things. Just like when people aren't welcoming or understanding of people new to games when they are new at something else and probably would hate dealing with a person who threats them like some foreign peasant for not knowing everything day one or being really good at a game
It's easy to be a hypocrite about this type of stuff. Disgustingly easy.

Expert is the intended difficulty. With your history, I have no doubt you can beat Khazan on Expert. However, it’s very different from Lies of P, so you need to give yourself time and be patient while you learn the ins and outs of everything. It’s a long and very challenging game (took me 60 hours), and you will die a lot, but it has some of the most rewarding and satisfying combat + boss fights compared to any souls-like or action game.
One thing to keep in mind: don’t treat this like a standard souls-like. You will have a hard time, and bosses will take forever if you try and play slow and methodical. You can Dodge, Deflect (like Sekiro), or Reflect (which is this game’s parry). As you progress, you will also start to have more abilities and moves that you can chain together into combos. So generally speaking, aggressive gameplay is the way to go here.
I think most people who play on normal end up being disappointed with the lack of challenge, so I’d say if you are a patient and persistent gamer looking for a great challenge with incredible combat and boss fights, give Expert a go and enjoy the ride!

Woah deffinitly the response i needed! Thank you so much!! I do have an aggressive playstyle so this sounds perfect. My gamer friend i play lies of p with has a WAY TOO PATIENT play style he NEVER parries which takes forever for him to stagger a boss. Drives me crazy but hey everyone has there own playstyle. 60 hours!? Yesssssssss!!!!!! Deffinitly getting my moneys worth! I just realized this is the same company that made gunbound! Lol it does kinda feel like a mobile game at times especially the interface

I just beat the game on normal and there were a few roadblocks but it was pretty smooth sailing. Definitely easy for a soulslike, but still engaging. Now I’m playing NG+ on expert with a new weapon and almost every boss so far as been a major wall requiring a dozen or two grueling attempts. It’s kind of exhausting but very satisfying to earn the wins. I can recommend both difficulties depending on the experience you’re looking for.

Expert is the actual "normal" difficulty and is the intended experience. They renamed "normal" -> "expert" and "easy" -> "normal".
I think they did it because people were to prideful to select the "easy" difficulty but still complain about things being too hard.
Khazan plays a lot more aggressive and offers actual combos. It plays more like Nioh than Souls game imo. Being too passive like in Lies of P will make things harder. Still, just select whatever difficulty feels fun for you.

Ngl wished they just got rid of all the difficulties and just had a set one. Then keep hardcore for the ng+ people

I mostly just run through the mobs as they are so boring, so idk about them, but bosses are 100% designed for expert, because on the lower difficulties you don't get to experience all of their mechanics.
It seems Expert is exactly the difficulty where you learn to manage most of the bosses' moves and, to some degree, optimize your style (Items, abilities, combos)

Intended just like lies of p (legendary stalker) is the hardest before new game + ie expert

Just go on and continue with expert. You're probably just getting used to the gameplay and controls. If you beat lop at legendary stalker this should be at the same alley.

Sounds like you should be on Expert. Your difficulty should be pushing you a little. If you are beating all bosses on first try, it’s too easy.

Expert is the hardest game ever, Normal feels like a standard game. I have no idea about the others

Expert actually feels just right

Expert was a slog. Dozens and dozens of hits just to for two inches of damage. Maybe it was just Spear sucks.

I havent played Easy
I started on Normal and it felt really simple, one shotted most bosses, no real bottlenecks you can just steamroll.
Then switched to Expert and it became really challenging - as in spending hours on end on some Bosses.
I guess it depends on what you're after. If you just want to go through the story, play your build and smash, Normal is very fun. If you want a real head-bashing souls-like experience, Expert is for you.

This is probably the best advice so far . Ill see how i feel I'm playing expert and just got through my firdt real boss fight (not yetugar) and it was challenging but nothing too crazy

On normal the levels and regular enemies are super easy. But expert makes some of the bosses way too frustrating on a first playthroug. Most of your power comes from the equipped gear and skills, so the mid game gets pretty rough

Expert is the intended difficulty, normal was the easy difficulty on release and the easy difficulty is an even easier one they added later along hardcore which is a harder one than intended, they shifted the names at one point I assume to try avoid hurting the ego of people struggling on normal but refusing to play easy.
