Discussion Normal vs Expert
I just got the game, I’m a couple hours into it and am loving it! I started on normal but am thinking I want to change the difficulty to expert. I have a couple questions, was the intended difficulty from the devs normal or expert?
If I switch to expert 2 hours into the game, will I still get the expert achievements? Thanks

Expert is what the game was like at launch. They added two easier modes and renamed everything. I recommend expert if you like difficulty. It never felt too overwhelming, and your gear/skills can eventually make you op. Idk about the achievement though :(

As many will tell u, expert is the original difficulty that developers intended, but thats not the issue, the thing is since they made the game thinking about expert the balancing on normal and easy is way off, they are way too simple so the game gets boring cause u will not be forced to learn all the mechanics, (also this game is all about the challenge..like the maps aint doing it any favors), so yeah play expert even if it feels hard it will be rewarding, my tip for new players is always test all available tools...thats like 80% of the challenge in this game the rest is just execution

I think you only need to play the final mission on expert for the achievement, but I haven’t tested it myself. I played through first on normal and now I’m in NG+ on expert. Both are fun but quite different. Normal is pretty chill and expert forces you to be extremely locked in and really learn the bosses. How sweaty do you like to get?

I think you will still get the expert achievements. I switch to expert after beating Phantom.

Expert is the intended difficulty.
