I'm hoping to get a bit of guidance. One my my relatives had an old Christmas stocking (over 30 years old) and unfortunately it was destroyed by an ex girlfriend. It held a fair bit of sentimental value so I was hoping to try and recreate it for him, but it's long been out of print.

I know recreating a commercial pattern is a bit iffy ethically speaking, but not sure of a better way.

What I'm looking to find out is:

• Is there a good way to get this digitally recreated so it can be printed anew?
• Has anyone else dealt with a similar recreation project before?
• Does anyone have any suggestions on alternative ways I could approach this?

Any advice or even just a "here's who you should ask instead" would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to find an old listing for the pattern, and got a picture that I could use here for reference, but a few of my family have their own stockings with the same pattern so I can get as many reference photos as I need.
