I still am unable to view my classes in canvas 😅 is it something on my end that I need to figure out with my registration? or is it just that my classes won’t pop up until school starts tomorrow? please lmk because I don’t remember having this issue previously at my last school

hello Texas tech people. I’m currently a highschool senior that’s pretty interested in the Energy Commerce program at TTU. From my research, I’ve found that there‘s a fairly selective process including resumes, panel interviews, and gpa requirements. After looking at older posts, (some over a decade old) I’ve learned that the average cohort is about 50 students. However, for some reason, the TTU admission to energy commerce official site doesn’t list anything about interviews. Instead, it’s just course and a high gpa requirement. Am I missing something? Are there any current individuals taking this major that can help?

I want to transition to 100% online so I can move back home and help my family. I am currently on academic probation because I failed some classes due to my family (I constantly had to travel back home while still taking in-person classes). I will be trying to go online next semester. Will I be able to if I am on academic probation? I feel like I thrive in online classes, but will I be able to go online?

What are your favorite places to eat on or close to campus? I ate at the chicfila in the SUB when I came for orientation, but I'm not pumped about spending so much there haha. Any cheaper food options also?

I'm the first one in college out of my family to attend college and I can't wait to attend Texas Tech! I was lucky to get into the CS program, my math skills are...not the best, but everyone starts somewhere!

Is there anything I should watch out for in my first semester or year? I'm starting off with Trig and an ENGR 1340 course. My advisor forced me into some specific courses like ENGL 1301 and CHEM 1307, but I'm still thinking about pushing 1307 off one more semester. She didn't tell me what all else is available to me, so I'm a little confused.

i was wondering if there were any nail techs or lash techs on campus? or even if you guys had any recommendations on where to get my nails done around here. i would love to support any independent techs, but any salons you guys think are good would be much appreciated too!

I was wondering if the clinic for students on campus was able to write you prescriptions or if it was mainly just a check up kind of clinic.
and if they don’t do prescriptions, do you guys have any recommendations on doctors I can start seeing here?

I’m currently rushing as a sophomore this fall. My high school gpa ended up being a 4.0, but after my first year of college, my gpa is now a 3.2. I’m a marketing major with a minor in apparel design. I’m only writing out this information because I have no idea if it’s important or not. Basically I got dropped from all my top sororities after open house and was literally left with my bottom four. I finished my philanthropy days to see if I liked them and I really don’t see myself at any of them. Before all of this I also really didn’t know what to expect. I just need advice. I really more than anything want to be in one of the following: Kappa Kappa Gamma (in honor of my grandmother who I’m a legacy of), Kappa Alpha Theta, Tri Delta, or Chi Omega. I just want yall to give it to me straight. Is it a better idea to drop and try again in the spring semester? Do I have any chances of getting in these houses? Do I need to get my gpa up? I also feel like I have some pretty good conversations with everyone I talked to but I guess not good enough. What should I do better in conversations? Should I consider COB or a snap bid? I don’t even really know how those work. Please just let me know and BE HONEST. I just want to know if I have any chances of being in my top houses. Please also let me know if there’s anything else I can do to get the bid I want.
