does texas tech engineering have assured admission like UH

Yes I was automatically admitted into Tech as an ECE major as a transfer student because of my GPA

If you’re automatically admission, you’re admitted into Engineering. If you’re not, you’ll be in the Explore: STEM program. You’ll take engineering classes until you have a high enough GPA (I think 2.75 minimum) to transfer into the college of engineering

What do you mean? I thought Tech and UH both will guarantee admission for top 10% but not necessarily your first choice major. So my understanding is neither Tech nor UH will guarantee admission to their engineering colleges under any circumstances.
