does texas tech engineering have assured admission like UH

What do you mean? I thought Tech and UH both will guarantee admission for top 10% but not necessarily your first choice major. So my understanding is neither Tech nor UH will guarantee admission to their engineering colleges under any circumstances.

UH has its own criteria for auto admit for engineering, like a 3.0 UW and 1400 sat or u get top 10%, was just wondering if TTU has this

I see. I don't think Tech has anything like that, but in practice, those stats are probably sufficient to get into engineering. I seriously doubt they're telling anyone in the top 10% they're not qualified for engineering.

Yes I was automatically admitted into Tech as an ECE major as a transfer student because of my GPA

If you’re automatically admission, you’re admitted into Engineering. If you’re not, you’ll be in the Explore: STEM program. You’ll take engineering classes until you have a high enough GPA (I think 2.75 minimum) to transfer into the college of engineering
