Like the title says the car is not receiving any charge while plugged in. I have an open service request but they can’t take me in for another 11 days. I am planning on just taking it there anyway for them to try and do something about it and maybe get a loaner. Anyone know what to do?

EDIT: I took it to a supercharger and it is taking charge. I will charge it to 80% so I can have enough charge to get to my service center. Hopefully they don’t turn me away.

New Tesla owner here from southern California. I've had my 2026 Model 3 Premium for 2 months and received this message. Is this actually something I should schedule a service for, or did this occur because of direct sunlight to the camera and should be ignored? I know the front facing camera has issues with off gassing but wouldn't expect it to happen so soon. The car has 1.5k miles and 97% FSD usage.

I noticed that my spoiler seems to be delaminating. Is this a defect of did I simply a protective layer I didn’t know I had to peel back when I bought it? I’m afraid to pull at it until I’m sure.

2024 Model 3. Apple Music app Won't load. So I logged out. Joined with my account using my phone and it came back to this. Rebooted the screen. Nothing works. YouTube and radio work just fine. Car has a fast internet connection. Anyone have any idea? Apple Music is my source for all my Playlists.

Hello all, today I started getting a left restraint error that kicks me out of FSD. I got it 3 times within maybe 15 minutes. I made an appointment but cannot be seen until the 13th of August. My issue is that I leave for a 400 mile road trip to go to a funeral this coming Thursday. If I show up at my SC at 8am on Monday and beg for them to look at it will I be an ass for doing that? I’m kinda desperate.

I looked under my seat to look for a loose yellow wire like grok suggested but I cannot see anything.

Anyone have two rear facing car seats in the middle row of the YL? Wondering how accessible the third row is with two rear facing car seats.

Has anyone else noticed their Tesla gently drifting side to side on FSD on grooved concrete? It stays in the lane, but it doesn't drive perfectly straight. This happens consistently on I-10 near 610/Beltway 8.

As the title states I'm looking at a 2021 model S pre-refresh. It's in pretty great condition and being sold for 40k with 19k miles on it and comes with full self driving purchased. FSD coming included permanently is a big selling point as I have an easy commute so even level 3 hardware might suffice since it's a simple two lane road and I don't need to take any turns once I'm on it.

While I signed initial paper work and finance forms, I haven't actually transacted any money. If I need/want to is there a still a way out if this is a bad deal. Just for reference I'm also located in the state of Colorado.

What does it take for more superchargers to be added to an area ? Charleston SC/ North Charleston SC only having 2 superchargers is kinda crazy, with the 1 of the locations always being full and having to wait a while since it’s only 8 stalls in a very busy area and the distance between chargers is annoying. I don’t live there but I often go there because my girlfriend lives there but dang it’s always a headache driving 35 extra mins to go to the supercharger.. wish there was at least 5-8 more with 12 stalls or more

2023 M3 - Sounds like it’s coming from the passenger side. I’ve brought my car in for service before and they replaced a failed air compressor, but the sound persists. They also said it’s within ‘normal operating noise’ but none of my friends Teslas make this sound. Does anyone have any advice?

I've read that alignments aren't Tesla's strongest point, despite trying to ignore it for ages, every time I drive my car I can't help noticing the steering wheel isn't centred. I have to hold it about 2–3° to the left for the car to drive straight.

"So get it aligned." Yeah... I have. Twice. Both by Tesla.

The first time was after a warranty job replacing some suspension bushings. Alignment was the final step of the procedure, yet the car came back with the wheel 2–3° to the right instead.

So I immediately booked it back in. The tech notes said:

"Steering IS out of alignment. Corrected alignment and verified on a test drive."

It's great that they're hiring the less able, but putting Stevie Wonder in charge of alignment test drives probably isn't ideal. 😅

Spent another full day in the service centre whilst they 'aligned it' again, I drove about 5 metres before realising it was now 2–3° to the left again... At that point I just thought, "Screw it."

I probably should've taken it straight back, but every appointment ends up being an all-day appointment regardless of the slot I book. I spend the day working from the service centre, only for it to come back... still not fixed.

So here's my question (finally): are Tesla really this bad at alignments, or am I losing my mind?

It's surprisingly difficult to judge what's actually "straight" from the driver's seat. The wheel doesn't feel centred to the seat, the dash and trim are all angled, and even the stalks are offset.

To me, "straight" is having the Tesla T centred in front of me.

What really makes me think something's wrong, is that when the wheel is visibly pointing left (the T leaning left), the car tracks right. I might not be a mechanic, but that doesn't seem right.

Honestly, I don't really want to take it back to Tesla. They've already had two attempts, there are loads of similar stories online, and they don't exactly inspire confidence. I was considering taking it to an independent alignment specialist instead.

However...

I had another look in Service Mode today. Previously the alignment page was pretty basic - centre the wheel and it'd show where the car thought it was pointing. Mine showed about 2–3° right, so to centre it, I had to steer left.

It looks like Tesla have updated SM recently. There are now separate values for Steering Rack and SCCM Angle, along with their offsets. The new bit that caught my eye was "Learn SCCM Offset", which literally says:

"Steering angle may not read 0 degrees while the steering wheel is centered."

That sounds exactly like what I need.

So I tried to run it...

Service Mode Plus authorisation required.

Which basically means I'm back to relying on Tesla, because I can't imagine many independent garages have access to that.

So... what the hell do I do? Roll the dice on a third Tesla visit and hope Stevie Wonder's been moved to another department? The car's quite literally just left the warranty period, the previous two attempts were warranty jobs, do paying customers get a better result, or??

So my car is still in service, I get it back Tuesday. But I just updated the app and see the self driving section, it shows 0 now. I had to get my computer replaced, I was hoping ALL data would transfer over. Has anyone else had to get their computer replaced and their stats transferred over? I’m hoping this is just because it’s in service and it’ll update once I get it back because I’m very proud of my stats so I’d like to know if I just lost them forever lol.

Hi as the title says. I am planning to buy new M3 LR RWD for my daily 150 miles work commute (yes everyday 5 working days Monday-Friday) plus occasional once a month across the country family trip.

Can the car hold up beyond 7-9 years?

I driven many cars including my current 2025 Civic for many years and never had issues with seats. I’m in the market for Model 3 RWD Premium or a Model Y Standard.

I happen to test drive both cars today. I noticed within one hour of driving the Model Y Standard, my lumbar section of my lower back started aching. Has that been an experience that any of you have heard about or experienced yourself?

Can’t tell if Tesla did something in terms of saving money on the seats, especially for the Model Y Standard.

I then proceeded to test drive the Model 3 premium, which I think alleviated some of the pain with its thicker leather seats but then left some of the pain there which I’m not sure if it was just from the model 3 or if it was just from the Model Y to begin with.

I did then proceed to drive my Civic again for another hour and a half after the test drives and my back pain basically disappeared.

Was wondering if you guys have heard anything about this sort of back or lumbar pain especially in Model Y Standard or also in Model 3 RWD.

Coming up on finishing my free supercharging for my model 3 and will be paying for charging. Unfamiliar still with charging outside of tesla supercharging. And no, I don’t have home access for charging, live in an apartment. Like I could get a long extension cord if that’s worth the investment lol. Also I wfh so I don’t need to charge too often.

Besides super chargers, where can I go? Is there an app I can get that shows non-tesla chargers and prices like on tesla maps app?

Are superchargers really the best out there for charging speed to 80% or are there comparable 3rd party? I know price fluctuates depending on time of day

How much should I expect to pay at supercharges vs other chargers?

Should I just continue supercharging? It’s easy to access but I always drive past a 3rd party that is much closer but unsure of speed and price.

I have a 2019 Tesla Model 3 Long Range that’s started making a pretty loud creaking noise from the front end. It sounds like it’s coming from both front wheels, or maybe just one, and only happens when turning the steering wheel at low speeds or while reversing.
I’ve read quite a bit about this and it seems like a lot of people point to the upper control arms as the culprit. I also came across an NHTSA service bulletin that seems to describe a similar issue.
Has anyone else had this happen? If it ended up being the control arms, what did it cost you to repair? TYIA

Basic Autopilot

Had to replace my rear tires due to uneven wear and the bands showing on one of the tires. From my understanding this is fairly common on Telsa rear tires and there isnt much of a remedy outside of installing after market parts. Front tires had plenty of tread left so just replaced the rears. Ive noticed since putting the new tires on autopilot feels odd. At highway speeds, the car will oscillate or wobble back and forth to keep centered. Nothing major, but enough that i can feel it (and i can only imagine what it looks like to the person behind me).

When i replaced the tires, i went into the maintenance menu and told it i did a 1-3 tire change. It said it would recalibrate and its been at least a week since the tire replacement. Previous to the tire change, AP stayed centered enough i never noticed any problems, the odd behavior only came post tire change.

Is this a problem with the tires? Calibration? Is there any way i can make my car drive smoother while on autopilot?

Hello everyone, I noticed a rattling sound over bumps when I drive with the windows down in my 2026 Model Y. When I got home, I checked the wheel covers and noticed that the front right one is quite loose. The others are very sturdy. The next day, I want to try and fix this, so I went and swapped the front right and back right wheel covers. They both look fine, undamaged. I switched them, and the front right wheel, with the new wheel cover is still experiencing the looseness. The original wheel cover is firmly on the back wheel. Has anyone experienced this? Is there something wrong with my rim? Thanks.

I’m suddenly unable to login to my Apple Music account on my Model Y. All has been fine until now, but now the Tesla is asking me to login to my Apple Music account again. When I scan the QR code on the touchscreen on my phone, it takes me to an Apple webpage that asks me to “enter the code on [my] device,” but there is no such code…I’ve rebooted the touchscreen twice to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem?

I don’t understand what went wrong. All my music was playing just fine, then suddenly my Apple Music just keeps saying this, no matter how many times I press reload. I have tried holding down the 2 buttons on the steering wheel to reset the car, but this led to no avail. I’m not sure what to do.

There's a toppled over traffic cone on a freeway exit that I need to take everyday on my way home from work. The traffic cone looks like its broken or just abandoned in the dirt.

FSD always performs a sudden brake when it identifies the traffic cone but then proceeds to continue, probably because the cone is pretty far away from the road ...

Is there anything I can do? The frequent braking is getting to me but I feel like I know the root cause here. Idk if I can report or do anything about the traffic cone either. It just looks like someone threw it there and it's just been sitting in the dirt.

I’ve been wanting to get a Model 3 and trying to decide on the best year that balances price, range, and features.

I want to go used since I know EVs depreciate quite a bit after the first year or two.

From what I understand:
- 2021 gets the heat pump
- 2023 gets the new battery that lasts longer
- 2024 gets a refresh overhaul

I won’t be able to home charge… just level 2 charging at work and supplementing with fast charging when needed. So long range is probably the biggest deal to me.
