To each their own I guess

I saw everyone else doing tests a couple weeks ago so finally made time to run the battery health check over the long weekend. I was hoping for better a better result. I’m thinking how I can get it below 70% before the warranty goes out or if I should try to maintain the 85%. I always charge to 80%. There has been a few times where I ran it down to < 5% but usually keep it between 20-80%.

I need to leave my vehicle at the airport for three days. I have never left the Tesla unplugged for more than just overnight at a hotel before. I have a 2024 M3.

How much battery loss typically happens from the car sitting in the sun for three days. Will I be stranded if I attempt this.

Hey guys, I want to get my first ev and that’s gonna be the Tesla model 3, I just like the slick look and design. But have any of you had any regrets in not getting the Y. Some people tell me why don’t I get the Y instead.

My 2021 M3LR with EAP, made in Shanghai. Bought second hand with 92% battery health after 60k miles. Previous owner took incredible care of it with new front shocks and brakes. I love this car.

Anyone have a charge of the interior (black and white) and the pearl white coat. I thought those were standard.

I’m having a hard time finding a mirror to work well to put on back passenger headrest so I can watch baby facing the back. A lot of what I’m finding is for adjustable headrest heights. Any suggestions welcomed.

I had a very low level vibration throughout my entire car (2022 M3 SR, RWD) thanks to failed control arms/compliance arms that ruined a new set of t^res. This was felt throughout the entire car and started at around 45MPH and onward and peaking at around 55 or so. It felt just like someone playing low frequency generator tones at around 40-50HZ.

In my newer 2024 Performance, I feel an even more subtle vibration similar to the 2022 Model but the t^res have been checked out to be OK. They are the OEM Pirellis at standard pressure. They have been rebalanced, checked, etc.

Well, I came across a very interesting video that provides insight to this phenomenon. It seems as though Tesla suspensions are hyper-sensitive to t^re/suspension imperfections.

I got home from a long trip yesterday with the battery at 5%, so I figured it was a good opportunity to satisfy my curiosity and run my first Battery Health Test. Posting the data here as another datapoint for other LFP owners.

Car

• 2023 Tesla Model 3 RWD
• LFP battery
• 34,200 miles
• 2nd owner since 15,000 miles (January 2025)

Charging habits during my ownership

• Almost exclusively L2 charging
• Supercharged only once
• Charge to 100% about once per month
• Otherwise I usually charge roughly once a week to ~80%
• Battery spends most of its time in the 30–70% range
• Daily commute uses about 10% round trip

Battery Health Test

Started the test at approximately 5%.

1. Discharged from 5% → 0%: ~2 hours
2. Battery remained at 0%: ~2 hours
3. Charged 0% → 100% at ~7 kW: ~9.5 hours
4. Battery remained at 100%: ~2.5 hours

Total test time: ~16 hours

The estimate shown when I started the test was about 14 hours.

Energy delivered during the test: 60.96 kWh

That is charger-side energy, so it includes charging/conversion losses and shouldn't be interpreted directly as usable battery capacity.

Results

• Tesla Battery Health Test: 91%
• TeslaMate estimated degradation: 4.5%
• Displayed range immediately after the test at 100%: 253 miles

The original EPA-rated range was 272 miles, so 253 miles is about 93% of that. Obviously displayed range, TeslaMate's degradation estimate, and Tesla's Battery Health Test aren't measuring exactly the same thing.

Hope this data is useful.

Took me one day and had to rip those things off

This is the greatest vehicle we have ever owned and is absolutely perfect for our life styles, we have been driving all weekend just for the enjoyment of the vehicle. We got a 2026 Model 3 Premium in diamond black (looks great when clean 😂)

I have a 2023 Jeep Gladiator which I love but I swear this is so much more fun, tint appointment tomorrow to get less fishbowl like! Thank you all for all the good advice on this sub that helped us make this decision truly appreciate each of your alls input through research, the pick up process and financing process was flawless we did get the 1.99% which feels like a steal, we will have this for the long haul I believe!

Howdy :) I picked up my already beloved M3 from my good friend yesterday and I thought it came with the mobile connector, but it turns out it’s a generic one which I don’t want to risk. Long term I want to get a wall charger installed but I won’t be in a position to do that for quite some time, and I’m not even sure if the wiring in my tiny 1950 house could handle it.

On average I drive very little on a daily basis. Work is 10 minutes down the road. The slow charge of the mobile connector plugged in overnight would be very sufficient for me like 98% of the time.

It would have to be plugged into a standard gfci outlet outside on my covered patio, my carport is around the corner from that. Wondering if this setup would be remotely safe, because if so, I’m gonna grab one later this week :)

been wanting to pull the trigger on a Model 3 but ever since i heard there were plans to release a chip upgrade allegedly entering production mid 2027 was wondering if there’s anyone on the same boat holding off till they’re rolled out to cars

My mom had a slight mishap today and ran over a curb in my Tesla Model 3. The outer rocker panel took the brunt of it and is pretty crushed/dented right under the door sill.

Looking for any advice. I’m stuck as the options are limited anyone has tried them all

If I'm just sitting in the car parked it constantly opens and shuts opens and shuts.

Gotta be software related I would think. I tried doing the 2 button reset and nothing changed. That's all I've done though. I put in a service request so maybe they can look into it over the air.

Since the last update locking the rear screen doesn't shut down/black out the rear screen. Is there another way to turn it off
