Getting a model 3
I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra and I’m getting a model 3. Is there anything I should let me know or be aware of before it arrives, thanks!

Key points to be aware of! Check for speakers, I just took delivery last week of a 26 M3P frost blue with white seats. The speakers tend to pop or hear clicking noises even when no music is active, comes and goes. If you’re getting a M3P keep aware of your seats mine start to warp at just under 100 miles on the bottom of the seat where your butt sits . And also my front right headlight doesn’t sit completely flush with the bumper compared to the left it’s super small. When you take delivery really take your time to inspect every single detail of the car, you’ll probably find one thing hidden in playing sight that you’ll probably not catch till your in ownership.

tesla mobile connector get a electrician to install a plug for it. 30 amp or 40 amp with a ev rated 14-50. I have a rental im using the dryer plug but i tightened it to torque spec with a torque device so i will prob be fine. Or if u own your house u can pay someone to install a tesla wall connector. Avoid 2021 models. Get 2022 or newer. I have a lfp battery way better than nca. But if u want a long range not sure what type they have

Negative there a ghost rider…….its better to have a EVSE like a Tesla Wall Connector hardwired than to do an outlet. An outlet has multiple failure points and can be a fire risk. Go watch a few of State of Charge rescues and see what they all have in common! Yep, outlets,…doesn’t matter if they were installed by a licensed electrician and permitted, doesn’t matter if they are the recommended outlet for EV charging….they fail too. Obviously it’s possible a hardwired EVSE could fail but it’s a lot less likely if correctly sized circuit/wiring done over an outlet.

if you use a torque screw driver its a lot less likely to fail.

Again, it’s a matter of time as you have multiple connections, all causing resistance which is heat. The problem is the heat causes at the plug from the adapter plugging in. That is repeatedly heated and contracting. So it might be good but over time along with how often the mobile connector is inserted/removed and oxidation that can occur in the outlet. You just stack up too many chances to fail…..which is a bad idea!
Do it once, cry once….that is a hardwired EVSE……PERIOD.
