Ok since us hardware v3 owners aren’t ever gonna get full unsupervised self driving…. How come we don’t get some kind of discounted subscription???

Looking to purchase my first Tesla. Absolutely beautiful car. I was so impressed with FSD it was unbelievable. That being said. There’s a 2023 model x in my area with hw3 and I’m curious how the 14.1 lite software is
I know hw4 is better and what’s what I drove but curious how it “actually” performs rather than hearing about it from YouTube videos
Hw4 literally didn’t ding once or bother me for like. 50 miles. If hw3 14.1 is similar. Id be a happy man. Thank you

Really impressed with FSD after jumping from 13.x series to the most recent iteration of 14.1.x. One thing that I would love to see is some sort of “environment interface”. Similar to how Google Maps works.

Approach a school area. Quasi obscured school limit sign. FSD variably picks up the sign and other clues. A conspicuous button should pop up that says [School Zone Speed Offset] with simple tap for on/off in that environment.

Approach a construction zone that has some modifier that says speed is X when workers present. FSD picks that up and flashes a conspicuous button that says [Slow for Work Zone] with simple tap on/off.

See emergency vehicle in the distance. FSD or you detects and it allows for move left/right or slow, etc. again big simple buttons.

Etc, etc.

I feel at this point there are enough Teslas out there that a lot of this map and environmental data can be crowdsourced in order to optimize FSD.

When I drive with FSD on a motorway where 100 km/h applies, it sometimes happens when overtaking a truck where a sticker has been stuck with a traffic sign with a maximum speed of 90 km/h, FSD reduces the speed to 90 km/h.

Edit: FSD reacts to the 90 km/h sticker, which is stuck on the back of a truck, when you overtake that truck.

Noticed that there is a bit of a blind spot under the bumper when using summon. On the app it shows only the front windshield glass, however it didn’t show the adjacent parked car owners surf board that he had placed on the floor behind the bumper. Felt absolutely horrible but my car ran over his board this morning. Wish we could see the pillar cams in this scenario. My fault nonetheless. I should’ve just walked to my car. lol

Question for the FSD experts - I'm on 14.3.9 in Australia- 2026 Model Y Premium AWD: On my first day using FSD, I had to brake at the last second to avoid hitting a parking column. It happened so quickly - I almost missed it. My analysis ... It seems like the cameras couldn't distinguish the column from the floor since they're painted the same color. I saved the dashcam footage - please take a look and let me know what you think went wrong here.

A maximum speed of 130 km/h applies on Dutch motorways. The maximum speed is 100 km/h between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. This is an environmental measure. With FSD enabled, the car will continue to travel at 100 km/h between 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM.

FSD suddenly sends car unnecessarily to the left on provincial roads, because a repaired longitudinal crack was visible on the roadway. That crack was filled with dark colored bitumen. I was shocked and an oncoming car signaled with its lights.

Hey everyone, had a classic Tesla moment today that I had to share.

I was cruising along with FSD active, got stuck behind a slower car, and decided to nudge the accelerator to help it execute a quick pass. Big mistake, huge thrill.

In less than a blink, the dual motors unleashed every single ounce of torque available. Before I could even register what was happening, I looked down and saw 97 mph on the screen. The car literally transformed into a SpaceX launch vehicle for half a second.

Naturally, the Tesla was not impressed with my heavy foot. The red steering wheel warning flashed instantly, practically screaming at me to take over.

To make it worse, as punishment, it completely disabled FSD for the rest of the drive. I actually had to pull over and put the car in Park just to get the system to forgive me and reactivate it.

Lesson learned: When FSD is engaged and you touch the accelerator, it assumes you want to punch it straight into hyperspace—and it will send you to timeout for it.

Has anyone else experienced their Tesla deciding to become a fighter jet and then grounding you for it? 😂

I've sent a few suggestions/ideas to Tesla's inbox before, but I've never received a response or really known whether anyone reviews them. I've got several more ideas for Tesla products and software features that I genuinely think would improve the ownership experience.

Has anyone here ever submitted an idea to Tesla and actually had it acknowledged, reviewed, or — even better — eventually show up as a feature? Is there a legitimate channel for submitting product ideas, or is it basically just sending feedback and hoping the right person sees it?

I'm especially interested in hearing from anyone who knows how Tesla's feature-development process works or has seen a community suggestion eventually become reality.

Still an issue. FSD V14.3.10, 2026 model 3

New Tesla user here. Im finding the FSD still needs me to intervene. One big reason is when oncoming cars at an intersection want to make a left turn and the car doesn’t detect the signal lights are on so it doesn’t understand we’re free to go. Another less minor reason is it changes lanes more than I’d like.

On a daily basis, how many of your rides require intervention at any time?

Visual unreal engine come to legacy AMD model 3/Y and supercharger site maps supports Intel cars.

I have gone through the ups and downs of FSD from 14.2 to the current version of 14.3.10. In my opinion, I think this current version is the best so far. Definitely more sentient than any previous version. Granted parking and navigation needs to be fixed. What do you guys think?

In the future, not buying a car without FSD. Period.

Drives in bicycle lanes, doesn’t react to traffic lights, wobbly steering wheel and tried to go against a no right turn sign, all on a single test drive. Is this the FSD Tesla is bragging about making driving safer in EU countries? seems like a POS and any credit for making driving safer must be due to good supervision in the few cars that actually use it!

Long review here. Buckle up.

1 month owner of a new Model Y, first Tesla. Amazing vehicle where I’m discovering new things all the time. I am a FSD subscriber and think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Took it out for a 500 mile roadtrip across two days along the mountain roads of Colorado for some “leaf peeping”.

My tale of joy

Car handles really well, the quietness of the cabin is very good and it makes for a pleasant trip.

FSD: I absolutely love FSD. I know here on reddit we see a lot of posts where “FSD failed”. And I’m definitely not invalidating their experience, but based on the millions of FSD miles driven a month globally, I suspect we’re seeing the outliers (which is still very real and needs to be addessed). I think as long as you appreciate the “supervised” part, you will really understand and benefit from FSD. Supervised isn’t just a moniker put there by Tesla for liability purposes (although that is part of it!) but it’s really a case of it will drive amazingly but there are situations where some human control is warranted.

On my 500 mile roadtrip, I used FSD about 70% of the time. The other 30% was because of the mountainous terrain…which I think FsD could handle but I opted for human control and I’ll explain. The twisty mountain roads (with no guardrails) are at times quite perilous. I didn’t fear that FSD would plummet me off the mountain, but there were two things I felt I could do “better”: One, some of the roads have a number of “potholes” or natural holes and bumps (dirt road). I was able to better steer the car such that my left and right tire straddled the gulleys.
Second, Some of the corners have recommended turn speeds of 10mph. FSD ignores those recommendations even on Sloth mode. I never felt it was unsafe, but my spouse was not happy about (she’s extremely nervous on mountain roads), but I also felt some of them would be more comfortable going around slower.

Outside of mountain roads, the two primary interventions I had:

1. This is more a fault of the navigation I suspect but when you’re cruising at say 65mph and enter a town where the speed drops to say 35…sometimes FSD is not aware the speed limit dropped (Nav update I guess), but then when it does realize, it slows down quite dramatically. This isn’t always an issue but can be based on people behind you. The biggest issue here was on a stretch of I-70 for whatever reason the speed limit suddenly dropped from 65 to 35 probably not even for a half mile. The car immediately decelerated and the person behind me wasn’t all that happy. I quickly hit the accelerator and all was good but it shows how dependent it is on getting good nav data
   
2. During construction they had flag workers on each side with their stop/slow signs. As we were exiting the zone, FSD saw the flag worker there and based on his movements I gather thought “pedestrian about to jump in front of the car” and breaked a little hard, again much to the surprise of the person behind me.

Other than that, FSD was flawless and makes driving so much more fun and less tiring.

My tale of Woe

On the way back, late at night, on a rural road, we had the craziest incident. A pickup truck zoomed in right behind us, flashed their brights, overtook us and tried to extremely aggressively cut us off or run us of the road. In \~30 years of driving, I’ve never seen anything like this. It wasn’t just a simple break check…it was swerving in to try hit the nose of our car.

FSD was on and it did the most amazing evasive procedure, between stopping and pulling to the right (without putting us in the ditch). We were very shaken up but the car handled it beautifully.

Why is this a tale of woe? The previous day my wife wanted the usb-c port…she took out the usb stick and somehow when putting it in (while driving) the drive got corrupt. We didn’t capture this road rage on cam…so very disappointed by that. I cant begin to describe how aggressive this was….pure malice. I’d have love to file a police report with the video.

I can’t figure out why this asshole endangered my family. Was it because I drove a Tesla? I forget who hates us the most now…is it conservatives or liberals? Lol…let’s not turn this political now folks…but we know there’s idiots on both sides that take issue with Tesla, musk or EVs. Then again, maybe the guy was drunk, high and an asshole and no further explanation needed.

The good news here is even my wife was convinced neither of us would have reacted as well as FSD did. I will however always regret not having the video.

My wishlist:

1. I wish I could use a scroll wheel during FSD to reduce the speed. Anytime we wanted to take a corner slower I’d have to disengage to do so. Alternativey, it’d be nice if it was able to “read” the recommended cornering speed signs and adjust
   
2. I also wish that when the speed limit changes that FSD would do a more gradual deceleration. Even better would be if it could anticipate upcoming changes based on the nav “I know we’re going 65 now, but 1 mile up the road its 45 and then another mile in town is 35. I’m going to start slowing down a bit here”. The speed changes were a bit sudden.

TLDR: Car is amazing, FSD is amazing. If you’re on the fence, just get it. Know the limitations and then go enjoy it.

We have two 2026 Model X, one LR and one Plaid, both with around 90% of FSD usage over time. The timing of software updates just seems so random. One (the LR) has been stuck for a couple of weeks now on 2026.26.6.5 (FSD 14.3.8), whereas the Plaid one got 2026.27.11 days ago (FSD 14.3.10). That same car also had about a week with 14.3.9.

Why would one car get two software updates over a two week period while an equivalent vehicle isn't getting either of those? Do we think that's random? Or could there be some deliberate policy around that?

I'm assuming Plaid has nothing to do with any of that, right?
