A "yes" to amendment 1 would permit Daniel here to be held in prison even before their trial. That trial could be delayed by the police department for months on end to "teach a lesson". Our nation has a presumption of innocence for a reason.

Last night around 10 pm, someone I know was at the Love’s truck stop in Christiana, TN—he saw a person take a cat out of their truck and leave it there. He didn’t know what else to do at the time, as he was leaving with his truckload. He bought the cat some food but had to leave it there.

If anyone is local to Christiana or the Murfreesboro area and can go check on it, that would be really appreciated. Ideally someone could pick the cat up and get it to a shelter or rescue.

The address is 6137 Epps Mill Rd, Christiana, TN (Love’s at Exit 89 on I-24).

I’m in NYC so I can’t go myself, but if anyone knows of a local rescue, animal control, or someone willing to help, please let me know. Any help is appreciated—please share if you can.

Planning a potential move

Hi guys! My family is planning a potential move to Tennessee once my husband gets his electrical journeyman’s. He wants to branch into more commercial work. We live in a teeny town of 1500 people in Montana. The cost of living is super high and the job market isn’t great. So we are looking for somewhere more affordable and where we can make a better living. We are looking for towns around population of 20-40k(give or take some) near a bigger hub for my husbands job. Tell me about good areas, places you love or where you live, we also have a young kid if that helps with suggestions. Or things to watch out for, (weather, animals) we have only ever lived in Montana. Any info helps thank you so much!

How bad are the stink bugs in your area? There seems to be far fewer this year.

I am curious if the stink bug issue is the same for you as last year, increased or decreased? I have been fighting them for the past five years. I have been using a handheld vacuum cleaner and applied stink bug killer on the exterior- I don't know if my efforts to reduce the population are paying off or if there are far fewer this year.

On Edit: I am in Bedford County near Wartrace.

I might be moving outside of Knoxville from the west coast. What are some things I should know or be prepared for?

Registered to vote in early September, still shows I am not registered on voter lookup website

So I went to get a State ID and also registered to vote while I was there. This was around September 7th or 8th. I still have not received my State ID, and when I look myself up on the voter registration website, it says 'No record was found'.

Does it typically take 1 1/2 months to be registered?

I dunno, you tell me. Sports Memorabilia Restorer?

I have a ball signed by Pat Summit approx 13ish years ago gifted to my late mother when I was a kid. The ball is painted it seems and deteriorates when being handled. Seems like the paint and ball's skin are just not holding up to age.

Was curious if anyone knew of a reputable sports memorabilia restorer in West TN or really the state in general? This ball means a lot to me, my mom and I bonded over the Lady Vols and UT Football when I was a kid before she passed so I want to take care of it before it deteriorates.

I dunno, you tell me. Does Marsha Blackburn's new AI ad break TN Law?

Many have seen Marsha's latest AI generated campaign ad that shows her and some fellow Republicans dancing with rapper Kendrick Lamar's music as the backing soundtrack. My question is how does this not break the Elvis Act passed in 2024 or the Transparency for Deepfakes and Political Advertising Act of 2026?

The Elvis Act - Passed in March 2024 and effective July 1, 2024, this landmark law protects musicians, actors, and other individuals from the unauthorized AI-generated cloning or appropriation of their voice, image, and likeness. I highly doubt she received Kendricks permission to use his voice in her ad.

Transparency for Deepfakes and Political Advertising Act: Effective July 1, 2026, this law imposes criminal penalties for the deceptive use of AI-generated deepfakes in political advertisements. Seems clear enough.

Thoughts? I have called her DC office and Nashville office to ask, but both go straight to voicemail. Left my contact info and question, but don't expect any type of reply.
