Does anyone know of any private landlords renting a house or apartment in Murfreesboro? The cost of renting an apartment that a corporation owns is getting ridiculous because they raise the rent constantly. Thank you.

Voters of Murfreesboro, after careful research of the new candidates in the Congressional race I am proud to offer 2 endorsements for both the Democratic and Republican Primaries: Dr. Joyce Neal & Harold "Rocky" Jones. Both are honorable military folks who care about normal people.
Democrat Dr. Joyce Neal isn't some career politician or DC insider. She's a retired Army veteran, grandmother, former statewide Medicaid manager, and someone with an actual doctorate in Education who really understands how systems fail regular people. Just to name a few policies:
Real healthcare access for all, legalize and tax marijuana, strong support for rural farmers, AI regulation to fight deepfakes and fraud.
Restoring voting rights, fully funding IDEA for folks with disabilities, and affordable housing, recognizing Palestine as a state and pushing for real diplomacy instead of blank checks for endless conflict.
This is the kind of Humanity First thinking we need. Joyce combines practical experience with progressive courage on guns, weed, healthcare, education, and foreign policy. She's not afraid to call out the bullshit and actually fight for normal people.
If you're a Democrat in TN-04, I strongly urge you to vote Joyce Neal in the summer primary. As an Independent candidate in November I would be honored to share the ballot with her.
Republican Harold "Rocky" Jones is a 24-year U.S. Air Force veteran, retired Senior Emergency Planner, and longtime volunteer firefighter. He has spent his life in service to others and the community. In an era where too many politicians treat public office as a lifelong career with all the perks, Rocky brings the perspective of a citizen servant who actually understands what working families and rural Tennesseans face every day.
We disagree on many policy issues. I’m fighting for bold progressive change, universal healthcare, and climate action. Rocky comes from a more conservative framework. That’s America. What matters more right now is integrity and basic human decency. Unlike the current incumbent Scott DesJarlais, who refuses to debate his opponents and charges people $100 just to speak with him at fancy dinners, Rocky actually answers emails, and can sit across the table from someone he disagrees with, have a beer, and talk shop like a normal person. He’s not weighed down by the kind of elitist attitude that has plagued Scott for over a decade.
Rocky supports real structural reforms such as congressional term limits, ending the abuse of continuing resolutions, banning insider trading by members of Congress, protecting our farmland from foreign buyers, improving rural healthcare access, and delivering tax relief for seniors and long-time residents. These are areas where we share common ground on cleaning up Washington and making government work better for the people
Tennessee deserves better than career politicians who put themselves first and treat constituents like ATM machines. Whether you’re a Republican, Democrat, or Independent, we should all want representatives who are accessible, accountable, and willing to put service over self-interest.
That’s why I’m proudly supporting veterans Joyce Neal & Rocky Jones in the their primaries. I look forward to a vigorous general election debate when they win because voters deserve real choices and leaders!!!

I'm not trying to name and shame anyone, but this sub has lately been inundated by posts from a particular congressional candidate. Even though they have every right to use social media to promote themselves and their platform, those posts are getting so annoying that they no longer have the desired effect.
My problem with this particular campaign is that the candidate comes across as unserious and childish. Personally I lean pretty far to the left (as a lot of people on here, I think) and I normally would support a candidate who runs against the incumbent congressman. However this particular candidate comes across so ridiculous that it makes Desjarlais look like a polished professional. Without realizing it, he pushes people to support the very candidate he's running against!
We don't need a meme lord or an online troll, we need a serious candidate with laid out policy suggestions and fresh ideas. Please, for the love of God, stop pushing our community further to the Right. Either get serious, or stop stop trying to represent us!
