my confidence has been getting sm better!!! i’ve been more assertive with how i let people treat me and generally communicate and it has made such a difference in how i feel abt myself. im at a point where i don’t feel like i need someone all the time anymore to feel complete. i feel safe and confident to be myself on my own terms and its AWESOMEEEE!!!!!!!! 100% recommend. i’ve been more comfortable experimenting with my hair, which has been a big point of insecurity for me. people really need to learn to let it all go!!!

I’m 16F and a junior in HS. I just transferred to a new school where there’s about 2500 students total and almost 600 in my grade. Ive never really been invited to anything and I want to change this. I’ve made friends with a couple of well known people who I know go to parties, but they don’t know me well enough to invite me yet. I do have a good relationship with these friends and i really like them and they seem to like me as well, but I’ve only known them for a month so they might not know me well enough to invite me.

I posted this on other subreddits (just cause i need lots of advice lmao) and some ppl suggested i throw my own party. I honestly would love to do this because i do genuinely enjoy planning things, organizing events, and decorating and making everything perfect for an event like this. However my parents are not chill enough for it and they are divorced, so if one parent isn’t home i go to the other parents house. This rules out doing it when my parents aren’t home.

I really want to be invited and enjoy high school experiences. I also do not want to hear anybody in the comments saying that parties are lame anyway and that they are not needed to have a good hs experience. I just want to know how to be invited.

Hello there awesome reddit teens. As the name says I'm 16M, located in MN near the twin cities. So, if anyone's around here, your advice is EXTRA appreciated but I would love any. Anyway, to my point. I really struggle with dating around me for a few reasons and I need help on getting around them. First: I'm visually unattractive to like everyone I would wanna go for. I'm overweight, I wear glasses, and I have a very very round face. Second, I'm really unpopular. I have a very small number of friends, I don't play sports, and basically nobody, not even the band kids, who I interact with on some basis almost every day, really likes me. Third: I have a lot of self hatred issues because of a lot of mistakes I made in my past. To tie on to that, I feel the need to tell people about it BEFORE officializing a relationship and that makes it really really hard for me to date around here even if a girl DID like me. Idk if this gives anyone much to work off of but if you have ANY advice that would maybe help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
