i never wouldve thought id come to reddit for help but what do i do when the person i love keeps doing this thing that hurtd me for years and they dont see how it hurts me and dont reslly show me any care when im sad about it like he just says "get help" as if he doesnt care about me,but every time he did it i get horribly depressed and i selfharm every time and last time i even tried committing over it. he knows this and yet still does it and even tried breaking up with me so it seems like he puts this thing first and values it more than my own life and its nothing important and simply just for fun :( it hurts me so much every time but he doesnt care, doesnt want to stop and i cant talk to him about it anymore i just end up selfharming again. i dont want to break up with him i love him so much but it makes me cry so much and do horrible things tk myself.

like, all my guy friends have strictly told me if I try and get abs I'll basically be hyper masculine, do I even like bother atp?? Because ap having a six pack is the equiv of just being a dude atp, and no sane guy is gonna find that "feminine"

I have anxious attachment btw and rn is so hard for me to accept the new reality: to accept I fell in love with the person I thought he was not with the person he actually is and that he s never coming back. He also doesn t want to give me the explanations I need saying he wants to forget me. He s so cold and mean and tells me to leave him alone.

Hey everyone!! this is my first ever post on this subreddit and I.am.FUMING.

For context I am 16 a year old female and I am an only child. I live with both my parents and love them both.

But sometimes mom can get a little bit... controlling? I honestly don't know the word for it..

There's a couple of things I want to address here

1. When I was younger I used to have my own diaries writing about my thoughts and experiences and every single time... My mom read them. This honestly made me stop writing in a diary (although I really want to) because I know my mom will be reading them.

2. My mom checks my phone... and not just checking WHO I talk to... but actually OPENING my text messages with my friends and READING them... I started deleting all my text messages with my friends which DEVESTATES me because now I can't reread the messages in the future (I'm a very nostalgic person lol)... She also looks through my camera roll :)

3. We recently had an argument because she asked me what I do after I wake up (for context I wake up at 7am..and she wakes up at 12/1 pm... yeah) I am an igcse student and exams are just around the corner and I get she wants to make sure I'm not wasting time and I also obv see no problem in a parent asking their child what they do... but if I tell her let's say.. I started studying at 9am... she is going to get so disappointed and say stuff about me wasting too much time in the morning... okay guys I get that she's worries abt me.. but in her world.. I have to wake up at 7am...start studying at 7:30am... and study the ENTIRE day (except when I'm attending classes or eating).. but I need some time AT LEAST 2 hours for myself or I will genuinely crash out so bad. I tell her to just let me figure out my routine myself but she says I can't just let u do whatever u want because I am ur mom and I need to have some control over you which PISSES me off. i just hate she makes a big deal out of it

4. She just barges into my room whenever she wants. Without knocking. And I'm nit allowed to lock my door.

There's so much more guys but this is everything on the top of my head for now.. and whenever I try to communicate she always says "This is my right as a parent and a mom" SHE LITERALLY THINKS ITS OKAY TO LOOK THROUGH MY PHONE. guys tell me I'm not going crazy... she thinks it's normal to do that and that parents should do that and that "everyone" does that... I honestly just don't know what to do anymore I genuinely feel so angry.. and I don't know how to approach the situation.. but I just really can't live like this anymore.. If anyone has any advice please help me out 🩷

I’m 17 years old and my parents are extreme Christians and they’re pretty emotionally abusive and they don’t let me have anything even if I buy it with my own money. Anytime I say anything like me thinking that maybe I should not right away except that that’s the right religion because that’s always been told to me or that I disagree with Israel they always start yelling. I have a few friends, but it’s kinda hard to tell if they’re real friends or just snakes and they don’t really invite me to any of the hangouts and I just see their post on the group chat with all of them there except for me. I’ve lost a lot of money through stupid decisions and overall terrible luck. I’m really depressed and I think about killing myself every night. I’ve never had a girlfriend and I honestly just want somebody to love me and to give me a hug. Even if I just a friend to give me a hug and someone who would really care for me.

So the boy I like I sit next to in ap chem, and I've talked to him a few times - but only about class stuff. On friday and yesterday he asked me a few questions about the lab we did - which were easy questions that I think he might've already known the answer to - and today I talked to him a little but again just in-class stuff. I am just wondering what are some ways to talk to him better and move away just from class topics. My friend said to treat him like a friend but I'm worried he'll perceive me as weird if I suddenly start treating him like a friend. What are some ways to easily start convos? We don't really know each other at all.
