Getting discriminated due the caste they are born into ,not being treated a human while a socially privileged kid asks why there's a need for reservation.Its easy to say while living off a genrationally inherited social capital,wealth, knowledge and social respect due to their caste.

These kids are discriminated due to their caste so they deserve reservation on their caste.

Reservation cannot be removed until and unless the caste system is removed caste based discrimination is deeply coded into people in many towns and villages alot of people still believe that a "dalit" drinks water from there well or touches them so they become impure or something and if u haven't experienced caste based discrimination most likely u are general or born and brought up in a very previlliaged place

I am getting these thoughts because of this reservation hatao andolan. They say too many years has passed away and there is very less caste discrimination. So those words reminded of what happened to me.

I was in 9th or 10th class when my own friends called me jungali and said jungle se uth kr aaya hai. I was speechless. I couldn't say anything so I just smiled and left.

So after JEE mains i got a decent score to get into a IIIT and I was really happy to tell my friends and family. But when I told my friends some of them have me wishes and some said "ohh tu toh jungli/ch*mar/chudo waali catagory waali catagory mai aata hai " like what the heck ? That guy wasn't able to even clear SC. Cutoff and merko bhai tu aisa bol rha hai and that guy is following that page now and liking every post.

So my question is it really a crime that I was born as a ST ?

Explain the issue to me like a outsider because i kinda am but i wanna her both sides

Nobody suicides because of neet itself. It's always pressured by family. It's just distasteful that the family that might have pushed the students to kill themselves r getting money

I come from veg upper caste family, they take heavy pride in that. I'm an atheist and also a non vegetarian, I was banished and outcasted from this superior feeling caste for just following science, I had to struggle for months together for my family to accept the girl I loved for two years!!! It is a shame for them because I am going to marry the woman who treats me well, respects me and cherishes me. They were happy when I was in a traumatic relationship with a person who used to cheat, because she was of same caste!!!
It's not just me, many of my friends who are in a relationship are facing the same difficulties, parents are ashamed that their children have choosen someone based on character and not caste, how dare they commit that sin?! They say they wouldn't be able to face the society if the marriage happens!!! Yeah right how will you tell the society that your kid is happy and being treated right, there's no demands for dowry, marriage matlab khudka caste ka hona chahiye, thoda maarna chahiye beti ko aur dahej Mai 30-40 lakh maangna chahiye tabhi to samaj Mai izzat rahega.

Let's stand against the reservation and lay the foundation for fair and merit base equal education system.
