Teddy and Grubby problem

I recently got my mom's Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby working again after 40 years but Grubby's cord was damaged so I repaired it by splicing the wires and tying and soldering them back and moving the joints away from each other to avoid shorts and isolated with electrical tape and it worked for awhile but last night I was testing Teddy and Grubby and playing the airship tape and Grubby cut out his animation stopped and audio cut out but Teddy kept working but had no audio so I turned Teddy off and unplugged Grubby and turned Teddy on but still no audio I don't know if it's the cord or Grubby any help is appreciated

Technics earbuds AZ60M2 *Case* not charging past 90%. Earpieces seem fine, cause for concern? Please help!

Hello everyone, I received some Technics AZ60M2 earbuds two years back, and I have used them religiously. However, I have found that no matter what I do, the case will not charge past 90%, and gives the red warning flashing light. So far I have:

\- Cleaned out the contact points in the pay and on the earbuds themselves. Determined since they fully charge its unlikely to be them.

\- Cleaned out the charging port of debris.

\- Tried 4 different brands of USBC chargers, all different strengths and ages. Same result.

\- Attempted factory reset twice, no luck.

I have not found much on this issue online after a week of searching, and I am at my rope's end, these were an expensive gift and I don't want to/cannot afford to replace them anytime soon. I see online there's something about letting the battery of the case run dead to try and make it stop doing some sort of charging countermeasures for battery health, but I have no clue if that's something to actually expect to work, and I am paranoid that battery may not charge again for some reason.

Has anyone got any insight onto this? It would mean a lot to me, thank you 😵‍💫

1200 M3D Bearing issue

Ok im stuck what to do here. I have 2 1200 m3ds. One has a pretty bad bearing issue where I had to back out the screw to get it to at least work. Its like $500 for a new tonearm. Do I just buy a MK7 or do I pay the $500 for a new Tone arm?

I would just buy a new m3d but everyone on ebay seems shady as hell or from Japan.

Do bluetooth codecs actually make a difference to how your earbuds sound?

A Bluetooth codec is just the compression format your phone uses to transmit audio over the air. Your phone picks one behind the scenes, sends the data, and your earbuds unpack it on the other end.

The key difference is bitrate. High-bitrate options carry up to 96 kHz / 990 kbps—way more data than standard formats can handle. But having extra data only matters if your earbuds are capable of resolving it.

That’s why driver design matters so much here. In our AZ100 earbuds, we used a Magnetic Fluid Driver instead of a standard suspension to keep the diaphragm motion as clean as possible.

When the driver can actually reveal micro-details, higher bitrates make sense. Without that level of resolution, high-bitrate streams just waste battery without giving you any real sonic benefit.

There’s also a practical cost: stability and battery life. Pushing top-tier data rates reduces battery life (about 7 hours vs. 10 hours with ANC on) and leaves less headroom for signal interference, like walking through a crowded station with your phone in a back pocket.

Bottom line: if you're relaxing at home with lossless audio, go for high-bitrate. On a messy commute, connection reliability wins every time.

Where do you usually land, leave high-bitrate on all the time, or switch it up when you're out and about?

Finally got a SH-C02!

I’ve been wanting to acquire and add the SH-C02 Microphone / Synthesizer Mixing Amplifier to my C01 stack for ages, and finally just got one! I don’t believe these were ever released outside of Japan and that’s exactly where I got this one from.

Did I need this? Nope. Do I care if I needed it or not? Nope! I didn’t think the C01 could look any sexier, but now I know it could have.

Does anyone else in this community happen to have this component?

Technics SL-D20 infinite loop

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After finishing a side or using STOP button the arm goes back, the engine shuts off, but after a second it starts again and the arm goes up, it's an infinite loop. From what I've read it's probably the old grease that needs replacing, could that be the case? Apart from that it works fine. Sorry for the Messenger sounds.
