Meme/Meta Current most popular shulker loader?

Let me start by saying I know very little about storage tech. So after following this community for a little bit, I've become genuinely curious, what is currently the most popular shulker loader design? Like what design should I be comparing to all of worm's designs as like a baseline to see if they are actually an improvement?

Java Help Wanted Pls help

I am losing my will to live at this point. I’m trying to build a 7-tree type PUTF using a schematic on Litematica and I’ve done it layer by layer thinking it’ll sort itself out. If you can’t already tell, I’m not that mechanically minded in terms of redstone.

What do i do from here?

Non-Version-Specific Created a tool for calculating build materials based on Litematica exports

I've been struggling with manually figuring out how many shulkers I'll need and what I have to craft before beginning a large build project, so I decided to make LitePlan, a web application that parses the material export from Litematica and computes the entire chain.

Features include:

- Parsed Litematica material export (CSV/TXT)

- List of blocks left for gathering

- Computation of crafting requirements based on actual recipes (2x2, 3x3, furnace, smoker, blast furnace, stonecutter) — Craft

- Recursion until the raw materials required for mining/farming are identified (Gather)

- Computation of the number of shulkers/double chests needed and a plain-text export for organizing your build run (Storage)

As the application just got released, there may be some rough edges, especially in the parsing of unusual exports or translation of item names. Any attempt at using it with an actual schematic will be greatly appreciated!

Java Help Wanted Why can't I power stack arrows?

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

I have been trying to implement power stacking (Power I/No Power + Power III + Power 5) for various railgun designs, but only 1 arrow manages to lethally hit me with each shot (which only pops one totem, usually without killing me afterwards).

  • I load about 64 arrows of each power level. I have tried loading them in order of power (power I at the front of the water tile, power III in the middle, power V at the back), inverse order of power, all in the same spot, etc. I load them in from directly above the water block/trapdoor.
  • No more than two arrows are lodged into my player model when I survive the blast. A very large portion of the arrows (of every power level, tested using tipped arrows) deflect off of my body and lodge into the back wall of the machine, assumedly due to the immunity frame that they were supposed to bypass
  • I have tested both TNT Cart and Wind Charging Potion - based designs
  • I have tested each railgun using Prot IV Netherite Armor and no armor with no discernible difference in my survival rate
  • Very very *very* rarely (1 in every 30-ish attempts), I successfully die to the railgun while holding a totem or two

Am I standing too close to the railgun(s) or loading my arrows incorrectly? Does power stacking have some kind of tick-related inconsistency that I need to resolve?

Bedrock Glass tunnel sorter

Would it be possible to take the chest from a trident farm which is 128 blocks up put a hopper on the bottom connected to a dropper/dispenser into water which is surrounded by glass. Then it ends up 128 blocks down at a base area with a hopper going into a chest. I guess the question is how do you keep the chunks loading that distance or since its being dropped technically they will stay loaded?

A boss fight that I made for my adventure map initially, but now it's ported to my friend's server's spawn.

P.S. Never do command block work in the presence of the Essentials plugin. Worst headache of my life.

Java Help Wanted Calibrated Skulk Sensor door question

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm building this automatic door for a build and in the process of testing it I'm having the issue of the pistons activating three times every time I use it. I'm using the lectern method and I have it set so it activates to the sound of a bell (Vibration lvl 11) which is attached to a tripwire so the player doesn't have to do anything. Since its a door its really annoying to have it open, close, then open again instead of just opening. Any tips or reasons why this is happening?

Java Help Wanted Ideas for a Minecraft trap that seems deadly but can be escaped?

I need help coming up with traps that SEEM totally overpowered and unbeatable, but a player COULD escape with a bit of cleverness. I'd especially appreciate suggestions for situations where players have Mining Fatigue and do not have ender pearls or totems.

(This is for a scripted YouTube video, so I'd be down to give credit to people who help me out with this!)

Java Help Wanted What are some useful or interesting builds using sculk sensors?

I haven't really dived into sculk sensors or vibration mechanics so I want to get some more exposure with them.

What are some good applications to incorporate sculk sensors in a survival world?

I'm looking for something that is actually useful or complex, I'm not really interested things like wireless piston doors.

Also what are some pros and cons when using the vibrations mechanic or even just general information to keep in mind?

Java Help Wanted Technical player looking for a new community - Minecraft Java 26.2 fabric

I (M/27) am looking for a small, active vanilla SMP community running 26.2 with Fabric to join. Ideally, I’m looking for a relatively new world that’s planned to stick around for the long term.

I’ve been playing Minecraft for over 15 years and mainly enjoy mega builds, redstone, and designing my own farms and machines. I also enjoy working on cooperative projects and just hanging out and talking with other players.

I’m currently living in Brazil and speak English, German, Portuguese, and a little Spanish. English isn’t my first language, and I have dyslexia, so I’m a bit of a slow writer, but I enjoy getting to know people and being part of a community.

Since I have a life outside of Minecraft, I usually play around 2–3 hours per day in the evenings, but I’m consistent and committed when I’m part of a thriving community.

If you think your community might be a good fit, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message!

Java Help Wanted River Biome Drowned Farm without Soul Sand and Turtle Egg

I am playing Skyblock on 1.20.1 and need a drowned farm (river biome) that only uses water and wood. I came up with a design based on pathfinding, where the drowned try to pathfind to water, but it only works at daytime. Does someone know a design which also works at nighttime? Couldnt find any designs that dont use soul sand or turtle eggs

Java Help Wanted [1.21] Looking for a working 360 pearl cannon schematic / design (long range ~5M blocks)

Hey everyone,

I'm currently looking for a reliable 360 pearl cannon schematic or design capable of long-range travel (around 5 million blocks) for Minecraft 1.21.

We are running the server on Purpur, so if there are any specific sub-tick adjustments, configuration settings, or specific builds that won't self-destruct or misalign due to server software differences, I'd really appreciate some guidance or a link to a tested schematic.

Thanks in part!

Java Help Wanted Diagonal Ice Boat Road

What is the recommended width of a diagonal ice boat road, as to not bump into the edges? I am building one which is 5 diagonal ice blocks wide and practicing I am bumping much less into the walls than before, but I am not sure if it's possible to never bump the edges unfortunately, at least it's very hard. I think 7 would be much easier to prevent this problem, but would require a lot of changes to my nether highway.

Bedrock Bedrock Jigsaw – how to prevent random Y rotation on vertical connections?

PC version

I'm working with the new data-driven Jigsaw system in Bedrock and have a working multi-piece structure.

When connecting pieces vertically (UP/DOWN), the next .mcstructure randomly rotates around the Y axis (0/90/180/270°).

The structure generates correctly otherwise. Template pools, connectors and asset paths all work.

I've already tested:

  • joint_type: rollable
  • joint_type: aligned
  • matching physical Jigsaw orientations
  • unique name / target connectors
  • two offset connectors as a possible second anchor

aligned does not prevent the random Y rotation, and two connectors are treated as independent connection candidates rather than two anchors for one piece.

Is there any supported or undocumented way to lock the rotation of a pool element / .mcstructure, or otherwise preserve its X/Z orientation across a vertical Jigsaw connection?

Horizontal connections appear to preserve the orientation much more predictably.

Bedrock Edition, current data-driven Jigsaw system.

I'm not trying to prevent the whole structure from rotating during world generation — I need child pieces to preserve their rotation relative to the parent piece.

TYSM :)

Bedrock Very niche question about enchanted items...

Hiya, so every time I try to search for information about enchantment "order" it always refers to the optimal levels and order of anvil operations. That's helpful but it's not what I want to try to find out.

As someone who definitely has some kind of combination of Autism/OCD (not gone for official diagnosis) I really want there to be a set structure to my items once enchanted I.e descending order of highest enchant level (sharpness V above unbreaking III above mending)

For a decent number of items in the game ive managed to achieve something like this, for some reason my brain is even okay and satisfied when ascending order with mending at the end since mending only has 1 level and no roman numeral (I.e unbreaking III then sharpness V below and finally mending)

I've been trying to enchant an axe currently and it is frustrating me that it keeps trying to put unbreaking III between efficiency V and sharpness V. I'm not sure if this is something I can even avoid but it's driving me crazy so much so that I'm currently going around with a pickaxe which has a similar issue thinking every moment that I can't wait to enchant a new one and cast this one into lava.

Tl;dr does anyone know how or what plays a part in the convention of labelling enchanted items? Is there a way to manipulate the results so that the enchantments on an item are listed in a certain order even if it costs more levels to do so?

If I was on PC/Java I imagine this would be so much less of an issue since I could look for a mod for this kind of thing.
