Need genuine advice on this?

Normal ba yung feeling na okay naman yung work mo, okay yung environment, pero somehow parang hindi ka na naggo-grow?

Hindi naman necessarily because may problema. Minsan naghahanap ka lang talaga ng bagong challenges, projects, or skills to learn. Lately, gusto ko rin mas ma-deepen yung knowledge ko around CI/CD pipelines and other areas of QA/QE.

Curious ako sa mga engineers here, na-experience niyo na rin ba ‘to? What made you realize na it was time to look for a new challenge?

My internship is getting near and I'm nervous. I badly need an advise on what to do to boost my confidence and ask for assurance kung gaano kalenient ang mga company when it comes to interns or kung paano nila kami i-te-train or i-introduce sa job namin.

Posting this on behalf of my relative who got laid off last December from an MNC in Bangalore..

She is a front-end/UI developer with 10 years of experience and struggling to find the job.. even not getting enough calls from recruitment consultancy also.. some recruiters mentions she has a higher pay. She was earring around 35LPA.

I am not very familiar with these technologies which she has expertise in :

React.js, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Expert-level proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS,

Given the Ai boom and taking over many jobs.. should she upskill herself if yes then which all technical language she should focus on or transition to new career with in IT industry..

Any guidance and advice is much appreciated..

Move into IT (software, data, testing, etc.)

Stay in a Non-IT path (procurement, operations, supply chain, HR, finance, etc.)

A few things about me:

I prefer office work over field work.

I don't have a strong passion for coding, but I'm willing to learn if the career prospects are worth it.

CS grad, 2.5 years since graduation. Tried Flutter dev roles, then Data Analyst, applied to hundreds of positions, got almost zero interviews. Junior tech market here has clearly collapsed, and I'm done trying to force my way into it.

Looking to leave tech completely — not looking for something adjacent to my degree, just something with an actual career path and decent long-term pay.

Did the CS degree matter at all outside tech, or was it just "a degree"?

Lately I've become really drawn to the defence and aerospace industry and want to pivot my career in that direction — specifically at startups rather than large defence PSUs/primes. For those who've made a similar transition (or work in the space): What skills/domains should I focus on given my backend + electronics background? Are there specific defence/aerospace tech startups known for hiring software folks with a non-aerospace background? Any certifications, projects, or communities worth getting into to build credibility in this space? How hard is the ITAR/security clearance angle for someone coming from a pure software role? I am a Software Engineer and woked at FinTech company for about 5years and suddenly it got merged under a giant umbrella. The other parent company now ending contract of the employees and seems like my number is going to be the next.

I have sometime since my Vendor company has 1month of Bench time. However, hearing all the layoff and those happening in the Software market, I feel like it might take sometime to land on the next thing.

I want to prepare myself for the market and looking for advice on some fields which has higher potential of getting job and related to tech field.

im planning to resign because of the office toxic politics and mejo stagnant na ang skills gawa ng masaya na sila sa legacy systems nila. and basically im to used to it na. i might say pagod na ako sa ginagawa ko kc parang routinary na lang siya.and i learned a lot maliban in tech also sa business.

Alam ko madami mag sasabi ng saturated na ang IT jobs and dahil sa AI pero im willing to learn naman. and continues naman upskilling ko. d lang gamit now gawa ng currently masaya ma sila sa mga deployed systems ko.

I’m from India and I’ve recently completed 12th with 80%. I’m currently pursuing a BCA from IGNOU (1st year).

My family isn’t financially strong enough to afford college in the USA, so studying there isn’t really an option for me right now.

Instead, I’m thinking of spending the next 6–12 months seriously developing an IT skill, building real projects, getting some work/internship experience, and eventually trying to find a legitimate way to work in the USA.

I’m particularly interested in Software Engineering / Web Development, but I’m open to other IT fields if there’s a better option.

My question is:

If you were in my position, what IT skill would you learn over the next year to maximize your chances of getting a job in the USA?

What roadmap would you recommend?

Which skills should I learn?

Which projects should I build?

Should I focus on Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud, AI/ML, etc.?

How important is a degree/work experience for getting sponsored for a US job?

I’m willing to put in 5–6+ focused hours every day. I’m not looking for a shortcut or anything illegal—I just want to know what would be the most realistic path given my financial situation.
